There is no seder like one in the desert. In 1986 towards the end of 2 years in Israel I convinced 5 friends that we should make seder in the Negev. They weren't keen on it at first but just a couple of days before Erev Pesach they got excited about it and everything came together. We took buses to Sde Boker and hiked off to Nahal Zin. We found a beautiful desert canyon and read the Haggadot by moonlight and candlelight. And the thought that who knows, maybe these were the very sands that our ancestors walked over. Thinking about it over 30 years later I still get overwhelmed with a lump in my throat with how amazing G-d has been to me.
