schools could really impact students lives by teaching them about credit, banking, stock market fundamentals etc I don't remember anything from school that taught us anything like that.
My senior year in high school I had to take a Gov/Ec class. Half the class went over government and policy and the other half was a sorry ass economics course that covered finance but we didn't really learn much. What schools need is a dedicated financial literacy class for students. 4 years across high school like math and English.
Curtis my brotha can't wait for you to come out, I know you will help our community!! We need more interviews like this with my brothas and sistas who are very competent in whatever skill or job they love.
Supernova someone with your negative attitude honestly deserves to take his place. We need more positive people as productive members of society to bring us forward. Not negative saps bringing us down.
@@anindividual9225 , ok. Tell me how you feel about someone when they murder your closest family. I don't think he should spend his entire life in prison if he's rehabilitated but that doesn't mean he should be let free on a whim because he likes to invest money. Secondly, you suggested I take his place in prison because we have difference of opinion. What does that say about you? People like you are the reason why wars like WWII get started in the first place. You should be ashamed of yourself.
@@MrSupernova111 Oh yea, shame me. I'm ashamed, oooh man, the shame. Wow. Grow up. And you're saying people like me started WWII? What kind of fantasy world are you living in? I'm suggesting you have a negative attitude which doesn't contribute to society. It only brings everyone else down. So, yea if I had to choose, I'd choose a murderer with a positive attitude than someone with a negative attitude. People aren't defined by their choices. If you murdered someone, that's not your identity. You're a human first and foremost. Not viewing people as human is what started WWII. So really, its your mindset that led to millions of innocent Jewish people being slaughtered and entire cities flattened by atomic weapons.
I was really impressed by this young man. Although he ended up in prison due to a mistake he made in life he educated himself and learned a valuable skill that will serve him well when he gets out. I am practicing a lot of those very things he talks about however he is reaching a segment of society who can benefit from it the most and turn their lives around. It's not how you start it's how you finish. Just a little education and knowledge about money and building wealth will go a long way. I hope this young man goes on to greatness.
the sad hurtful part is you can see pain, regret of taking someone life in his face. he will carry that hurt the rest of his life along with his victims. such a strong man deep within. respect for him understanding what he did wrong while keeping his head up to better himself.

ABSOLUTELY INSPIRING AND FASCINATING...I WISH HIM THE ABSOLUTE BEST WHEN HE IS RELEASED.
This interview was everything. So great. I learned so much in this short time. We are a wonderful people and this just shows you what we can do when we do it! Love love love this interview.
schools could really impact students lives by teaching them about credit, banking, stock market fundamentals etc I don't remember anything from school that taught us anything like that.
My senior year in high school I had to take a Gov/Ec class. Half the class went over government and policy and the other half was a sorry ass economics course that covered finance but we didn't really learn much. What schools need is a dedicated financial literacy class for students. 4 years across high school like math and English.
Don't for get teaching them law in order to avoid getting into trouble in the first place; especially criminal law.
It should be more economical mathematics taught most definitely. They teach us backwardly in schools.

I wanna see this man free. Him rotting away in prison like this is just such a waste. Dude has more potential than me and I’m out here free.
Then take his place.
"it wasnt about taking a life. it was about opportunity" . yaaaaa no
Supernova someone with your negative attitude honestly deserves to take his place.
If he ever gets out
You impressed by this???
Eric Glenn 😂
the sad hurtful part is you can see pain, regret of taking someone life in his face. he will carry that hurt the rest of his life along with his victims. such a strong man deep within. respect for him understanding what he did wrong while keeping his head up to better himself.
Curtis' story reminds me a little of Andy Dufresne's (The Shawshank Redemption) in how he taught financing, investing, retirement planning, taxes etc. to CO's, the Warden, and inmates.
Curtis, very humbled by you and your story. God bless. Hope you can move on with your life soon.
The 170 people that disliked this young man's intelligence are HATERS no doubt
Exactly he deserves another chance frfr he learned his lesson.
Thank you!

The fact that you called a 40 year old man young man bothers me
Come on brother, you know good and well who those 170 disliked people are. They hate us for no reason. And here's the kicker. With Ellen DeGeneres confessing to sexual assault. Is there any white female in the United states who wasn't. Unbelievable. But we're called animals. Smh.

If every person acts like the warden for one child/teen the world would be a better place. There's nothing like someone seeing something in you before you see it in yourself and giving you a chance to develop it.
I said that to myself. Like where is the Warden at
A beautiful mind indeed
When are we as a people will learn from someone else’s testimony. His brilliance is not an enigma. We have a history of intelligence that has been exploited for centuries. There is a lot off effort put into making us as a people believe we are inferior and that we need to be supported by the government rather than expressing our natural entrepreneurial sprit.

Dang. I learned some gems from this young man. Pray the best for his future.
What he's describing is empathy. People today could use a hell of a lot more of it.
This brother deserves a 2nd Chance
Most definitely!! They need work something out for people like this.
Maybe, but he took someones life, so where is his victims second chance? Its a heavy price for both people. He did what he did and now he is where he is. Unless he can bring someone back from the dead he is where he needs to be considering what he did. Had he just robbed someone I might be for a 2nd chance, but not what this guy did. Its just a damn shame all the way around. For the victim and for him. A damn waste of 2 lives.
