Oops, I skipped a cycle, melting snow creating floods will be next before drought and fires.
It's likely an atmospheric river brought the tremendous snow fall that doomed the Donner Party in 1846-1847.

Happy to have found a real weather forecaster. As a USAF weather specialist from 1982-1986 used ruggedized equipment in the field in S. Korea ( no computer's, no satellite ) just stations reporting conditions ) this what I expect from a weather forecaster.
I remember a guy on 7 called Pete Giddends i think. Forgot the last name. He was really good at weather. This was back in the 70's
January and February need to pull their weight now. December has done its job for the rain 🌧️ 🎉

Are they rains from the El Niño phenomenon or are they normal rains since we had time when there was no rain in January
This is more of an El Nino phenomenon. We don't normally get heavy amounts of rain in such a short period of time. That is why you hear her starting to become concerned about our rivers in the days to come if it continues.
This is finally a complete, solid forecast session. Good to see this level of coverage with depth.
