Hey everyone! If you like this kind of content, let me know by liking or disliking the video!
Check out my BABYKLOK NYC review here! ua-cam.com/video/kEWTc-r7x54/v-deo.html
I'll be happier if "haters" left the room. I mean the place became more spacious, it's like I rented a whole theater to watch a BABYMETAL show, yeah that's Super VVVVVIP ticket. 😂
I was at the Omaha show, right next to the sound booth. Part of the problem was the sound guy from the venue was garbage. Part way through Babymetal's set, he was replaced by someone who knew what he was doing.
The sound went from painful to fantastic in a heartbeat.
i'm going to the 2nd of two shows in L.A. to end the tour, so i'm hoping they'll have any sound/technical issues worked out after the first show. it's at the (fairly) new you tube theater (appropriately) which is supposedly state of the art in sound and lighting. there's tour videos on you tube that are pretty interesting. i have a great seat on the rail above the floor, so i should get some good unobstructed video. 9 days to go!
Omaha show was off the hook. Discovered them in 2019. Waited since then to see them live. I can now die happy. I was left side stage upper level. First 2 seats. During your monocrome thing the camera pans by me. First guy next to girl in blue. Blurry buts its me. On video I took of their goodbye after road of resistance during the we are babymetal, Moa looked up at me and I waved at her and she waved. I'm sure it was to the general location but she was still looking right at me. I knew that camera dude looked familiar lol. I was watching that guy too. A lot of people that started off like what is this ended up really liking it. They had the biggest crowd reaction and moshes out of all three of them.
The lighting for deathklok was also absolutely brutal upstairs. Jason's set also had it's moments. Babymetl's lighting is mostly designed for stadiums.
I went to the Milwaukee show and I had the time of my life. First Jason Richardson absolutely shredded the frick off the roof. The crowd loved him. Then the main reason why I went BabyMetal came on stage and they absolutely blew the roof off the Rave. I sang along to every single song dude. We got set track 3 so we got Mirror Mirror. It was electric. Then Dethklok came on stage to end the night and I honestly enjoyed the show. I watched Metalcalypse a little bit when I was younger so I knew what I was getting into lol. But at the end of the day, I had a fun time the whole night and I really hope Su, Moa, and Momo end up coming back to Milwaukee one day. Because when ever they come, I will go. BabyMetal 4 👈
Looking forward to the show tomorrow night in Seattle😊
Thanks for making this video, I have no idea what to expect from Dethklok, I'm going to take your advice and look to the back of the standing room area.
Being flipped by Gene: you can add that to your Resume 🤣🤣🤣
I am on a Roll!
JR usually jams with Luke Holland. I was bummed that he wasn't there. I think he is on tour with Falling in Reverse. LA show closing in, pretty stoked!
Going to see them again this Sunday in Vegas
Thank you. I never understood why they put these two bands together.
Got a week to go here in L.A....I get to see them on Oct. 11th and Oct. 12th to close out the NA tour....can't wait.
Something I've noticed: I've been to a show which sold out so fast they added a second show/day and I was at both, you could notice how the 1st day people were more reserved, 2nd day people went nuts. And when you say: people were not going nuts as much, I always think about that.
I went to the babyklok concert Houston. And when deathlok was playing, I was quite excited to see them perfom, and when they were playing the Constant flashing was hurting my eyes and I couldn't see so I just had to close my eye the entire show and headbang like a Psycho when they finally finish their last song I was so happy I could open my eyes again lol
You're spot on about the all ages and the show. Took my kids to the Denver show and I'll say I was a bit surprised about some of the DeathKlok set. I was expecting a f-bomb or so here and there, but the sex stuff and what not ... lesson learned I guess.
That's cool that they played Maya! Just went to Aftershock Festival in Sac this past weekend and because they only gave BM 45 minutes, they didn't do nearly as much -Death, Gimme Chocolate, Distortion, Pa Pa Ya, Monochrome, Metali, Megitsune, Road of Resistance. I wanted to hear more from The Other One personally.
Interesting about the on-screen content for Dethklok. I went to the Toronto show with my two young kids, and after Jason Richardson it was BABYMETAL. The kids (and I of course) had a blast, but they were very tired after that (on a school night) so we went home without seeing Dethklok. Perhaps that was for the best.
4 times in 3 weeks next stop Los Angeles. ❤ listening to my ❤ すず香
What did Moa and Momo do to make Su laugh during Megitsune?
The "bird" from the drummer is awesome 😂 and from a guy who really needs both hands 😂😂😂
I don't know if it is still up but I'm still waiting for Babymetal to come to the Philippines for Pulp Summer Slam 😭 pleeease Babymetal 🤘🤘🤘
That would be sick. I will see you there, pare.
Seems a good time to learn how to pray :)
the 2024 Pulp Summer Slam line up has different bands. I hope they invited the same bands from the cancelled line up last 2020.
@@kaonashi4693 That effin virus ruined everything. 🤦
@@paulobalictar4842right. Babymetal was already here and I was about to buy the ticket. Then they announced the cancellation. I was freaking heartbroken.
Hell yeah! I was at this show and I pretty much have the same stuff to say as you. I’d never heard of Dethklok before this concert and they did exactly what you said, pounded your face into oblivion. Which is cool and all but I certainly wasn’t expecting it. I was standing next to this really rude girl who really ruined their whole vibe for me too so I guess that’s why I couldn’t get into their set… But Babymetal killed it and I had the time of my life!!
Waiting for your Hanabie Des Moines review, it was a hot fucking show for sure. It was really nice to chat with you waiting for Hanabie.
it was nice chatting with you to! it will be up tomorrow
@@dicodec look forward to t, I loved the show and energy they bring.
I saw the concert in Denver, Co. I did not enjoy Dethklok. Loved BabyMetal and had the best time for my first concert with them. Nice review Alan.
Gene Hoglan is a legend, he's just like: "stop recording and enjoy the concert"
and well thanks for the video🤘
Thats what I assume as well. Dude is old school and has played for absolute legends. So maybe he was just annoyed by recording...but then again...its not like there arent tons of people doing it, so it seems odd to focus on one person.
EXACTLY. It's not a secret that artists kind of fucking HATE that shit. But here this dude is... WHINING about it.🙄
@@Bones12x2- Guarantee it's because every time he looked up it was THIS dude he saw recording them. I'd have done the same fucking thing.
Thanks for the review Alan, imma little bit late here because i already saw another BM Omaha review from Edelgard (a new reactor) she went with her daughters and totally love the show from behind but she agreed with the explicit content of Dethklok not safe for kids like her own.
Right there with ya on the band pairing. I am not sure who on Babymetal's team thought Dethklok was a good pairing and then with no warnings for content knowing small kids would be at the show. I'm not big on Dethklok's vocal style but, the music was at least pretty good for me. All in all I had a great time but, I would happily pay the same money for a Babymetal only show. Maybe squeeze in some Metalverse.
They don’t realize how much money they would make having an only babymetal show
I agree that they could've made more money doing their own show, however, I feel like this was a financially safe way of doing a lot more dates in the United States. It may be a trial run to decide where to go on their next US headlining tour. I do think it had the value in putting them in front of people who may not have normally given them a chance. It'll be very interesting what their next US tour looks like.
@@dicodec I see the crowd in Berlin for an example and it is crazy. EVERYONE is there for BABYMETAL. Making for a much better and fun vibe. I WISH we would get a solo BABYMETAL Tour in the States. I was at the Vegas and Los Angeles (the one I invited you too) shows and the crowd was good, but it can't compare to an ALL BABYMETAL crowd. In Vegas I was surrounded by Deathklok only fans. Except the person to my left was for BABYMETAL. But the huge Deathklok fans to my right had an amazing time during BABYMETAL and asked if they could have the extra VIP merch I had. My roommate gave them hers, minus the special badge we got. They 100% left as new BABYMETAL fans.
Song title "we are" Or others From the band one ok rock, they are also a Japanese band
Here you go. We also have two more one ok rock reactions on our channel.

My first cartoon sex experience was as a six years old. It does NOT damage kids... But I'm from Sweden, so there is that of course :D
Did you also see Hanabie?! Saw them in Houston they killed it
I'm a true loyal fan to the classic babymetals very impressive dominated spectacular skillful songs! Headbanger, karate, papaya, Magitsune and Road to resistance are the very top of my list! My great information for today. Have a great fabulous wonderful day.😀😊
Cool stuff. I don't understand the pairing of these two acts. I had a blast with Babymetal at LTL! Got my pit bruises and dance my calves off! I hated that Megitsune and Headbanger got cut due to the compressed timeframe. Otherwise, no complaints. Hanabie was a super good time as well. Lots of fun in Louisville!
Good review, thanks Alan.🦊
No problem ❤
I had the same issue with the lights at the Atlanta venue. What is the point of blinding the audience for the majority of the show? I'm there to see the bands!
Just saw them in Vancouver. Babymetal may have put on the best show I think I’ve ever seen
Also we had someone faint at ours as well but it was during the BM set
In Houston I was on the right side up in the front and the base was super heavy too. if was so heavy you could feel it. We also got Maya.
Jason Richardson's backing track tricked my watch into thinking my heart beat was 144 bpm.
Lmao
I was at the Omaha show. It was a great time.
Dude, on Dethklock strobe lights causing seizures, that legit happened at the Dallas concert. Five minutes into Dethklock and this lady was unconscious. A couple dudes had lift her up and drag her out. No clue what happened to her but assuming just a seizure and she was okay.
Very insightful review ✨ Can't wait to see them in December!
Have fun!
Good review 🤙I had the exact same location and the exact same experience. I was actually talking to my buddy I went with and said pretty much everything you brought up in this review. Jason shredded, was cool, but I lost interest halfway through. Dethklok came and I was literally like wtf is happening, some pretty wild stuff. Especially because they threw up a seizure warning but nothing else 😂 I dunno I'd be pretty choked if I was a parent at the show an had to explain to my kid why people are getting their heads flamed off by a groin flame cannon. Again about halfway through I lost interest and just wanted BM already. Being that close an the interaction with BM was amazing but ya definitely enjoyed the show more at Aftershock where I was further back. 🤘🔥🦊
I think Sabaton was a good band for Babymetal to team up with, both musically and image-wise. Dethklok and the rest of the groups (don't know about the Asia tour) this year have been the polar opposite of what I like. I wish they teamed up with nicer bands and made sure the audio and lighting was set at levels that are enjoyable for everyone. I don't know why Koba or whoever would present Babymetal as "A" and then tour with bands of type "Z". I guess it's good for business, but it unfortunately puts me off. I follow Babymetal because they're not like these other artists...
Trust me as some one who was in the back during the New York part, being in the back did not help. Dethklok will rattle your spine no matter where you are
We had bigger moshpit in Stockholm. 😁
A full band is always going to be better than one guitar with a backing track...but that means paying 3-4 more people to tour with you. To be fair he usually has Luke Holland on drums with him but he wasn't available. Jason is bringing in the least cash of the three performers on the tour so it makes sense to limit expenses.
Great review 🔥Thank you Alan💖Love your cool hair😉
Thank you 😁
I thoroughly enjoyed this show, issues aside. Outside of the screen i didn't think there was that much wrong! But you were a bit further up than i was
I saw this show in SLC on Sunday. Your comments make me feel good I was in the middle. The sound was awesome besides being perhaps 10-15% louder than what I would say is maximum enjoyment level volume. I agree on it being an odd pairing. I traveled to AZ to see Hanabie tonight. Also saw Avenged Sevenfold and Falling in Reverse on Saturday, so we're seeing all the same shows. Mine happened to be crammed into the space of 4 days. Good times.
Hell yea ❤
Did Jason point you out as the guy on cocaine? :) Yeah, he should've had a band.
I though Dethklok's lead guitarist was great. I wish they weren't in shadow the whole time. I know that their schtick, but. . . .
I wasn't especially looking forward to "Pa Pa Ya," but I think that was their best performed song of the night.
I DO think the crowd was weak. They failed on the chant during "Road of Resistance." I wonder if it was because half the crowd was there to see Dethklok and didn't know the Babymetal songs. That's the impression I got.
Did the drummer show you his ID photo?!?
Keep up the concert reviews! I saw St. Vincent on her Masseduction tour and she sang and played guitar to a backing track. I think she did it as well as it could be done, but I still missed there being a band. Add to that, instead an opening act they showed a short movie called "Birthday Party" that she directed as part of horror anthology and it seemed a little self serving. She did two sets, with the whole Masseduction album for the second set. Once I got over the lack of a backing band, it was quite excellent, but for $50, I wanted more.
Dethklok's lighting was definitely overkill; I had to leave the rail just two songs into their set because I couldn't take it anymore, and it was making me feel super light headed (so not at all surprised if someone else actually fainted). I watched the remainder from the side and deliberately looked down / away from the screen.
I don‘t get why he‘d flip you off… 🤔🤔
If he doesn’t like people looking at him, maybe… idk… he should do something else that doesn‘t involve him being on a stage…? Kinda weird 🤨
after seeing them perform in Japan it makes any american tour look like trash. The venues suck and the crowds just kinda stand around
great content Alan-Metal, did SU , Moa or Momo recognize you from NYC?
How many of their concerts are you going to?! Fly me out to your next one 😂 😅 I am hoping they’re coming back next year. I got really close too, about 10 ft away, small venue, my ears couldn’t hear anything but the music. The annoying thing to me was to douche bags shoving through. Trying to keep the girl with me safe. 🙄
I was right down the center front fence in front of Suzuka. Was standing there strong and proud with my sign and the media started taking pics of me cause my sign was apparently unique. She even seemed to be singing straight to me a few times as a result of the message on my sign. I saw them in St. Louis the night before also.also saw them in Boston a couple weeks ago and CT a couple days before that.
I saw you. What did it say or look like from the front?
@@es4941 if I told you what it said the yakuza would come hunting for me ☺️ but on a serious note all I can say is it was a courageous heart to heart message . And that’s not all I did. But I’m the real life Han Solo so. Where did you see me? Were you behind me?
That's cool! I always have my SG flag and are as close to the stage as possible and each time I'd get a smile from Su.
@@ClayMationNation Cringe.. You're gonna leave a comment like that and not elaborate for people who show interest in what you are saying. Why even bring it up then? It's just stupid. Reminds me of some shit a kid would pull, so they can feel like they got one up on people. Oooh, real special.🙄 I'll say it again: *Cringe.* 😬
Been baby metal fan since 2015. I’ve been seen them every time they come to state. Going to see them in Phoenix. Metal is metal. Some bands do it good. Been listening to metal since the 70’s.
ありがとうございます🤘🦊🤘
Great review. Notice that you didn't get a wink from Moa on her way out, sad :D
Why no KAMI band?
When I saw them in 2019 in Las Vegas and Los Angeles there was no kami band which was disappointing to say the least, not saying the replacement band members weren't good, but had been waiting 5 years to see them and no kami band!!!
Do they not travel to the states?
I saw a Kami band there and they were amazing
@@dicodec I meant the kami band from japan, do they not travel to the united states?
@@raid7752 Get with the times bud, Kami band is just whoever is they have playing. The musicians from Japan are probably going to be very limited shows now, most likely big ones in Japan. They are busy with their own projects and don't have time or more realistically don't want to tour full time with Babymetal.
Kami band Japan has ended, they didn't renew their contract I guess. same with Yui
@@raid7752 well they did play the Japan show sthis year
Bro, wheres the interview with the girls???
I think they sent it for review and waiting for the ok from management to post it. -Eric
hi
👍 👍
Enjoy these BabyMetal concert reviews?
Absolutely.
We were lucky and got Babymetal first and then took off with the kids before Deathglock. Horrible pairing
🍅💀🍅
🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼Sucks about all sound issues, you should have been at the front at the NYC show sound was impeccable, but no you decided to meet the girls instead....
My bad ... lol
Sounds to me like he was just saying what he thought would make him look cool at a metal show, but on the inside he doesn't care. Maybe he realized how many hardcore looking metalheads were there for BABYMETAL and realized his opinion was the uncool one at the show? Pretty insecure person either way. I'd have more respect for him if he did what he said he'd do. Just blowing nothing but hot air.
I’m sure the Jason Richardson is just a cost saving measure. I will say that he’s a way better opening band than Babymetal had at their LA Forum show in 2019. That was the world’s worst DJ. I would have rather picked a random fan’s Spotify playlist.
You think it might have had something to do with it. The quality of the show. You standing in the front row. Hmmmm. So, do you stand right in the front row for every show you attend? Because that's usually not the best place to stand if you want to hear good sound and watch a great light show. Maybe next time Gene won't flip you off too. 😂😂
Seriously, try standing by the FOH area. That's actually the best sounding spot at any concert. Want to know why? Because the FOH sound person is doing the sound from there. Make sense? Lol. And you can see the whole light show without becoming blind throughout the set. Just some advice, take it or leave it. 🤘
In his last show he was at the front of the balcony, so from the back to the front to experience to different POV. Those flip offs were cool:)
This is for the people that don’t know, I wanted to be up from for at least one show
@@dicodec Now you just got to experience Babymetal how i did. In a concert in Japan right at the back not being able to see anything🤣🤣🤣
マイクの毛玉w
Do they also sell fake Pokémon cards 🤡
My perspective on Gene has changed for doing that. Disappointed.
It's Omaha Nebraska, what'd you expect? BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
no but seriously... That sucks with all the technical difficulties. And I TOTALLY agree this was a bad pairing. Much too explicate, especially since many took their young daughters to see Babymetal. I was cringing the whole time.
And about being up front at the rail, I agree that sometimes the sound is horrendous, but, BUT!, to have that chance to get some direct interaction from the girls is so worth it to some of us. You don't count! You got to shake their hands you #$&*÷×%!!! ...😁
And THAT'S also the reason to go to multiple shows. One in the front, another in the back, another in the balcony, and one strictly for the mosh pit. That's how it's done 😉.
lol I agree you have to go to four shows minimum
Does NO ONE do their research before opting to go to a show with a Metal band? Dethklok is KNOWN for their brutality. It's at the core of their music. They've been around almost 20 years. They have a reputation. If it bothered you then WHY did you go? Don't come out of it complaining now. You WILLINGLY paid for those tickets and should full well have known what you were getting.
But you kind of reveal yourself - along with the other weirdos who make it obvious that they're really just there to obsess over cute, young Japanese girls. 🙄
@@cyrylthewolf I went to see Babymetal, not Dethklok. I know EXACTLY who I was going to see. I had no choice but to sit through Boreklok just so I could see the band I WANTED to see. Even Jason Richardson was better than Yuckklok. It's two entirely different styles of music and they don't match. And so what if I like looking at beautiful girls doing metal instead of a bunch of hairy (or bald) sweaty old dudes that just stand there and play while horrendous imagery of sex and violence is displayed on the screen. The imagery was not family friendly, and Babymetal is VERY family friendly and an inspiration to little girls and teenagers all around the world. YOU on the other hand seem to have a very sexual perverted predatory attitude and mindset, if that's where your mind automatically went to. Maybe you should look in the mirror and evaluate yourself. Perv much?
@@dicodec dude, check this guy out. 🤣🤣🤣 What a clown. 🤡
For me, Dethklok's presentation didn't work. I get why they are doing the band in darkness gimmick, but I felt my eyes glazing over toward the end. Even the outrageous imagery had less and less impact as time went on. I'm glad Babymetal ended the evening or it would've even felt like more of a slog.
i rly didnt like this pairing. their tour with sabaton made more sense.
Dethklok is freaking boring music. and that behaviour of the drummer shows they can't handle being in the spotlight. Baybemetal are just awesome
Dethklok and Babymetal do not really match up together. I wanted to give them a chance for the show I went to because I knew basically nothing about them, I stayed for about 15 mins and left.
Agree, especially DK is especially dark and explicit Metal typical contents while BM is the opposite that is all ages appropriate with positive lyrics
Yes I agree Dethflop (whatever) is a terrible match for BabyMetal. Absolutely insane.
I understand that options for tour pairings may have been limited but still, get a grip Koba.
I mean... Talk shit about a band who KNOWS what Metal is. Dethklok has a huge following - for a reason. It's REAL Metal. If you're too weak to handle the music then that's fine. Whatever. Blame Baby Metal for choosing to tour with one of the most brutal Metal bands ever.
Good review thanks :) That drummer was a bit of an asshole. Even if he doesn't like you filming you do not treat your audience like that.
What? I missed that part
Gene Hoglan doesn't give a fuck - nor should he. He's a fucking LEGEND. Your opinion doesn't mean SHIT to him.
Also... How is HE the asshole? HE wasn't the one there recording most of the show rather than enjoying the artistry of the band's work.
Dude got the finger for it and he DESERVED it. He has no business crying about it like he did.
Dethklok is so repetitive. The vocal delivery is just so consistent and flat. And the drummer flipped you off ? that's crazy. Don't like them.
This was the first time I saw or heard Dethklok. For me, some songs were a hit and others were a miss. But mostly the lyrics were juvenile or the story was about losers - was not impressed.
I still don’t like them.
