For all those asking, I can confirm the IAG AOS Street did not void my warranty. The dealership listed my car as completely stock after inspection and performed warranty work for free. I have the AOS, Cobb sf, catback, and AP.
I work for a dealership. They don’t care what you do to your car. As long as it’s not the reason why your car is having problem, they should still perform service, if not then don’t go to that dealer
I am just researching the IAG AOS for installation in a different platform. I appreciate your explanation and pace of the video. Thanks for your contribution.
Great detailed explanation! My last car that needed a blowby solution was my SRT4. That was a si ple in mine OCC. 2 lines. When first looking at this AOS, so many lines! Now I understand what they are all for and feel better about an install.
Thank you so much! I’m so glad i found your channel!! I will be watching and re-watching this and the install video to prepare for my own IAG AOS installation!
@@akqjtn is there any maintance for the aos? Ie removing the bottom once and a while? I was looking at a Perrin one and they recommend to clean the foam pad once and a while
I had the comp version but converted to the street since I run e50 minimum...Now I'm wondering if the street version is actually doing anything since those gases are still in my engine..I've heard of a few people running 23+psi having the street AOS clog up their EBCS lines...I insulated the return hose with foil tape and insulated mesh wrap because I've heard horror stories about condensation freezing inside the hose causing BOOM
I'm from the UK. My 2017 STI is RIGHT HAND DRIVE. The brake reservoir and wiring harness are reversed... is this IAG AOS going to fit right hand drive STIs? If I can mirror your install I'm unsure if the hoses are going to be long enough 🥺
Why isn't this a factory install? I heard you can use these for other brand vehicles also. Therefore should theses be universal for the Subaru engines?
Wow dude thanx... I am glad for the video it helps... but I am having a slightly difficult time completely relating this to my AOS on My Porsche. I have a 2006 Porsche 997 and currently working on changing mine... I have oil in a couple of my hoses... can you explain the tubes workings on mine please. I am unsure if oil should have been in them in the first place. Help needed if u can thanks.
My intake is nicely lubed up with oil. My valves are BLACK, and the VW shops locally don't recommend catch cans... I guess they support planned obsolescence, DIY or DIE. I'm trying to adapt this product into my VW.
Hey Boost & Shutter - could you updated the amazon link for an IAG AOS for the 2020 STI? When looking at the product on IAGs website, it doesn't explicitly state the 2020 STI is supported. Just want to make sure to get the correct one. Thanks!
Holy crap. A lot to take in. Would you say this mod is damn-near a must for almost any Subaru? Or more for those who have high horsepower engines, like heavily modified engines or Imprezas and STI’s? I have a 2017 Forester w/ the 2.5 L engine and “premium” trim.
I have the IAG AOS and was curious. Is there any maintenance it requires/cleaning? My research I have learned it basically “cleans itself” unlike a catch can. Please correct me if I am mistaken and thank you!
Nobody can explain to me why, the top throttle body line has a one way valve in it. If we are deleting the PCV system. Why have another PCV? Is it because of running boost to maintain internal AOS pressures? Also how does the block breather not vent into the drain side of the Y splitter? I assume it's because of vacuum effect at the AOS inputs being close to one another and it pulls ventilation gases to the path of least resistance? And the drain should have pressure pushing out?
What i understand that IAG pcv part in the hose is nothing but one way check valve from AOS to intake manifold just under throttle body. It's to prevent high pressure going back to AOS when car is in boost
I don't have a Subby. I'm going to use one on my Mazdaspeed. Just curious, the port that you are using for the oil dump out of the AOS, what is it normally for as you don't normally have an AOS.
I just finished my audio gear, so this is my next step. do you have any idea of what I should do? my leg is weaker and I find the 2020 wrx clutch spring pressure and abrupt catching point a problem, I have a 2019 impreza 5 speed that I now prefer driving because of the wrx clutch ,and I've had manual transmissions in the past , but I don't care for this clutch.
So the port in the middle of the block is to feed gasses into the canister and at the same time (with the Y fitting) dump it into that same port? Why?!
I guess multi purpose opening on top of the block right above crankcase. Gases are lighter and will always go up to higher parts but side of the Y is perfect for oil slowly draining down Into crankcase with rest of the oil
yes but if you're stock power you probably also dont need an AOS even though it would still be good for the motor. its a more important reliability mod for those breaking warranty and sending it.
@@anthonyclara4183 Im in the same boat, but plan on talking to the dealership service department to see what they think. It always varies at different places.

thinking about a STI. is this AOS necessary ?
Yes!
Thank you for the differentiation between the catch can and AOS at the end. I was sitting here wondering how the fuck I was supposed to drain my AOS
Is a tune needed for this at all?
No
Not with the street series but yes with the competition series
iag v2 aos vs. cobb aos, what should i get?
IAG Street AOS. It’s been a dream for oil retention on my 18 sti.
Do you need to tune the car after this installation?
No you do not. Hope I could help. Great product this is.
Only if you get the competition series, he’s got the street series here
Doing this mod effect emissions ?
Of course not
