Why won't my EEOC investigator tell me how the investigation is going? Why didn't we do mediation?

Vince, thank you for creating all of these videos. Going into the archives is like finding bury treasure! Rrrrrr - so… the investigator called me and was super nice. They introduced themselves, and asked for more info. Of course the NY’er in me is like, why are they being so nice? They advised that they are going to contact the witnesses and have their finding by the end of the month. I was like, what did you say? She suggested that I call the witnesses to let them know that they will be receiving a call. Could this be a good sign? 70/30

EEOC NLRB and what ever other federal agency, if they are getting paid with our federal tax dollars, how can we change the way they are funded? Why not have them funded off the fines and citations that are issued? there is more than enough complaints out there and is a good way of incentivizing obviously they are doing us the blue collar worker no good but wasting our time and resources.

Hi Vince. I received my right-to-sue letter from the EEOC. Now every attorney keeps asking to see that letter and not all the evidence that I have against my employer. They all have responded they cannot help me because the EEOC did not find my employer at fault. I have tried so many attorneys and no one wants to represent me. I am running out of time and do not know what else to do.

I hope you find one soon. Honestly, in my opinion, any attorney who cares what the EEOC finds in a Right to Sue letter is probably not an experienced employment litigator.

If they can’t find an attorney and they are running out of time do you think they should file the claim anyway by themselves so they don’t miss the Statute of Limitations ?

@@BabyGirlMondayBrockMcKinley That would be better than losing the claim outright, yes

It is so disturbing to me how awful these people at the EEOC are. I haven't had a response from my investigator since March. I have submitted my rebuttal to my employer's position statement in April but can't get anyone at the EEOC to send me an email or return my call. My investigator was nice and helpful to me and the process wasn't difficult at all until my I was fired and my employer submitted their position statement. When I asked my investigator how I submit the rebuttal she told me my charge was over. She just believed the lies in my employer's statement and didn't listen to anything I had to say. I haven't got an update to my charge in 5 months. I don't think anyone could read my rebuttal to my employer's position statement and think that my employer had a business reason for firing me. I provided evidence refutting every one of their lies which were many and yet I still haven't got a response from the investigator. I have contacted my elected official but I fear that this is going to lead to nothing.

What is considered egregious on the part of the investigation team. Please name a few. The State Employee's have keep giving me untrue information and won't give me a Merit/No Merit finding on my Retaliation Case, over 7 years and counting.

Hi Vince, can oral complaints be protected activity and how are they proved?

Is that the Private Attorneys General Act in Calif? Because it’s for Labor cases and you don’t have to be a lawyer to sue ur employer under the PAGA act . But why do they only have it for labor why can’t it be for housing to since they combine the Fair Emoloyment and Housing Act in Calif why can’t tenants sue their landlords as Private Attorneys General as well?
