Do all students move out into a house in second year or do some people ever stay in uni accommodation rooms? Is it cheaper to move out into a flat with mates?
Hi, most people move out, as I don’t think the uni’s own accommodation allows second/third years (but I don’t know for sure, so worth checking)... living in a house for second year can be cheaper! Especially in Cardiff where rent can range from £290 per month upwards. I currently pay around £360 a month with bills included and uncapped. So great value really! :)
Ss Oops For last year, it was £360 a month for each of us (bills included), there were 8 of us in total. So £2880 a month for the house. We had to pay full price for Sept - June. Half price July - August.
There are cheaper houses out there, it really depends on your budget. I don't know how cheap, but worth having a look at lots of options :) In comparison to lots of other cities its quite a bit cheaper. I have friends at other universities having to pay £500 a month, so Cardiff is pretty good for accomodation :)
This was cute!! 😍

Riddellie oh okay! Thanks for the info x
How much does rent cost for the house in total? And how much do each of you pay?
