The Wyoming Jazz Ensemble "Armando's Rhumba"

The Wyoming Jazz Ensemble performs "Armando's Rhumba" during an October 31, 2013 concert. This piece is a big band arrangement of Chick Corea's original composition.
Soloists on this piece include Miles McKee on Tenor Saxophone, Jeff Worrall on Trumpet, and Zach Paris on Drums. The Wyoming Jazz Ensemble is under the direction of Dr. Scott Turpen.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but this band is tight to wrong rhythms. I know because I've played the same arrangement with that tied eighth to quarter note triplets that somehow got changed to tied eighth to quarter eight eight. (0:33) In other words, good example of being together, bad example of accuracy.

To be fair, the “error” is so small that it could just be seen as an interpretation (which Jazz is no stranger to 😂)… so the fact they were together just makes it the new “correct”
