Over 30 yrs ago I heard this man on the radio and it grab my heart and I knew it was the word of God. It changed my life, literally. I used to feel the same way, Dorian, and dedicated my entire life to Kenneth E. Hagin's ministry - until I discovered that his entire ministry was a plagiarism of the teachings of E.W. Kenyon to whom Brother Hagin NEVER gave due credit. Took me years to get over that blow.
Master Prophet He actually mentioned in one of his books that he was told by some people that he taught similar things as E.W. Kenyon. So, went ahead reviewed some of those things and found it to be so. So, he did.
I believe there are many like him but the challenge is the current times we are living in. I still maintain, faith cannot grow without testimony. In the days of Bishop Hagin they didn't deal with so much (news, internet, music, sports, celebrities, pastors that show off material things, witchcraft, etc). For more like Bishop Hagin to be seen they need to be identified young and kept away from "the world" as we know it. They need mentoring and grooming as in the Old Testament when Elijah was a midwife of the prophetic. A deliberate prophetic Academy, not only Bible School. Some of Kenneth E Hagin's followers and students know very little about flowing with Spirit of God. Some of them are Faith extremists. They don't want you to copy them. Another thing that I believe that the Holy Ghost showed to me is that some of Kenneth E Hagins books were edited by Rhema. They're not even the complete message. They chopped up his teachings into bits and pieces, as if they wanted to print fewer pages on each book. It's kinda sad because Brother Hagin said a lot of key things and very important things in the original teachings which are on audio. A lot was omitted from some of his teachings and then they put the rest on books so you're getting one-third or half revelation when you read some of his books. I believe the Holy Spirit showed this to me.
@@troywright359 , one thing I do know is that there are believers that are more Holy Ghost minded (anointing and power minded) than are Word-minded and it shouldn't be that way. There should be a balance between the two. For instance, there are fellowships where all they talk about is a touch from God or miracles, signs and wonders but don't talk much about being like Jesus as far as how we live is concerned. And there are also fellowships where they are more interested in Christ like character than they are in the Supernatural manifestations of the Spirit, and it shouldn't be that way either. We need both sides of the coin. As for believers putting on some stuff in the flesh, that's probably something that they on their own decided to do. Now, you do understand that there are certain kinds of anointings that can come upon a believer and cause the believer to do certain things outwardly, in other words, they do things that's controlled or moved by the Holy Spirit himself. In those cases, that's not emotions being involved as such. That's just what some may call demonstrations of the Spirit. This subject is actually so deep that I didn't know exactly how to respond to your comment about emotions being involved with the Holy Spirit because I wasn't sure in what direction you were thinking. Why it is so deep is that, while the Spirit is moving and operating this way, one may think of it as being being emotional and lacking self control, but that's not really the case. And on the other hand, there are people who try to mimic these things and put on stuff in the flesh where it's not actually the Holy Spirit doing these things.

In 1985, I was a new believer in the Lord. I read Mark 11:23-24 and was totally shocked by what I read. I prayed to the Lord, the Bible says that if we learn to pray properly, we can receive answers to anything. But I didn't know how to make it work. I prayed that God show me someone that was alive today who knew what it meant and lived it, and I'd believe it. A few weeks later...someone gave me a Kenneth E. Hagin book... I got some of his books and said to myself, "Finally, a preacher that says what the Bible says!" I've heard several preachers preach up to that point, and I'd check up on them, and their preaching was not verified by the Scriptures, which always frustrated me. But Bro. Hagin preached what the Bible said, and soon I'd pretty much ordered all his books. Bro. Hagin simply taught the Bible, so let's all just get back to the Bible. Omein!!

Hagin at the 29 minutes 36 seconds of this interview from the book of Proverbs was actually Proverbs Chapter 4 verses 21,22,23, not Chapter 20 verse 21, 22, 23 as he inadvertently said.

Just don't deny your feelings, they have their place...feelings shouldn't guide us but the word of God.

1980 I read a book by him and I slowly believed in my mind. I also slowly learned to walk into this word. You not only have to be living it you have to be obedient and do what the word says. I kept at it and before I knew it I was TRUTH. MEDITATION on the WORD was KEY, LIKE LEARNING A NEW DIETARY LIFE STYLE. But reading what he learned gave me encouragement, if he could get off a bed to life free from illness there was hope for ME. I was given HOPE BY HIS LIFE EXPERIENCES. They chopped up his teachings into bits and pieces, as if they wanted to print fewer pages on each book. It's kinda sad because Brother Hagin said a lot of key things and very important things in the original teachings which are on audio. A lot was omitted from some of his teachings and then they put the rest on books so you're getting one-third or half revelation when you read some of his books. I believe the Holy Spirit showed this to me.
@@troywright359 , one thing I do know is that there are believers that are more Holy Ghost minded (anointing and power minded) than are Word-minded and it shouldn't be that way. There should be a balance between the two. For instance, there are fellowships where all they talk about is a touch from God or miracles, signs and wonders but don't talk much about being like Jesus as far as how we live is concerned. And there are also fellowships where they are more interested in Christ like character than they are in the Supernatural manifestations of the Spirit, and it shouldn't be that way either. We need both sides of the coin. As for believers putting on some stuff in the flesh, that's probably something that they on their own decided to do. Now, you do understand that there are certain kinds of anointings that can come upon a believer and cause the believer to do certain things outwardly, in other words, they do things that's controlled or moved by the Holy Spirit himself. In those cases, that's not emotions being involved as such. That's just what some may call demonstrations of the Spirit. This subject is actually so deep that I didn't know exactly how to respond to your comment about emotions being involved with the Holy Spirit because I wasn't sure in what direction you were thinking. Why it is so deep is that, while the Spirit is moving and operating this way, one may think of it as being being emotional and lacking self control, but that's not really the case. And on the other hand, there are people who try to mimic these things and put on stuff in the flesh where it's not actually the Holy Spirit doing these things.

In 1985, I was a new believer in the Lord. I read Mark 11:23-24 and was totally shocked by what I read. I prayed to the Lord, the Bible says that if we learn to pray properly, we can receive answers to anything. But I didn't know how to make it work. I prayed that God show me someone that was alive today who knew what it meant and lived it, and I'd believe it. A few weeks later...someone gave me a Kenneth E. Hagin book... I got some of his books and said to myself, "Finally, a preacher that says what the Bible says!" I've heard several preachers preach up to that point, and I'd check up on them, and their preaching was not verified by the Scriptures, which always frustrated me. But Bro. Hagin preached what the Bible said, and soon I'd pretty much ordered all his books. Bro. Hagin simply taught the Bible, so let's all just get back to the Bible. Omein!!

1980 I read a book by him and I slowly believed in my mind. I also slowly learned to walk into this word. You not only have to be living it you have to be obedient and do what the word says. I kept at it and before I knew it I was TRUTH. MEDITATION on the WORD was KEY, LIKE LEARNING A NEW DIETARY LIFE STYLE. But reading what he learned gave me encouragement, if he could get off a bed to life free from illness there was hope for ME. I was given HOPE BY HIS LIFE EXPERIENCES. I REALLY BELIEVE HOPE WAS CRUCIAL, and HE CONFIRMED IT WITH A LITTLE TRACT SIZE BOOK ON HOPE which I kept in my BIBLE. QUICK REFERENCES OF VERSES TO BUILD FAITH. I'M EVER THANKFUL GOD OUT THIS MAN ON THE EARTH TO HELP SLOW LEARNERS LIKE ME.
