I think what gets me about this game is the emptiness of it. I would be scared if I was trapped in some weird place like this- nobody there but me- and it’s eerily quiet and dark in some places. So yea this is scary in my book. It’s nerve wrecking to say the least. As always good job Hollow. We love you!

This kind of horror is based on the concept of liminal space: For those of you who never heard about google. Its rooms where reality feels different. Places that are otherwise full of people and that you suddenly experience quiet and deserted. Places where architecture creates a strange, dreamlike atmosphere, where the lighting conditions are reminiscent of a surreal film.
In the backrooms red light= serious danger.
The ground is always wet. Thats why mushrooms are growing.

If you really did, congrats! I've looked around a lot of back rooms games and this has to be the best so far due to the actually alone unnerving feel / not monster based. Also best rendition of the poolrooms I have seen so far! Hauntingly beautiful.
Dude, the way the face cam turned off at the end... actually added to the horror and suspense way more than you would think. I thought you turned it off intentionally and I squeezed my cheeks preparing for a jump scare! Lol

The only difference is we have things constantly stimulating us in these “buildings,” such as different lights, colours, people, stores, and other things stimulating our brains. The backrooms just takes away all that stimulation and shows us what it’s really like. Think of a bright city like Las Vegas, now imagine there wasn’t lights and flashy billboards everywhere. It would seem dead.

So far in your game play of this Backrooms Lost Tape, 2 secret messages and another passcode came up: The first secret message right after you entered the first passcode in the SCP computer was this, "I am lost in level 186 or 106, please help me!"
Then as you started to wander away from the generator and PC, and the room turned red, a code flashed this: 827384.
Next clues maybe: The painting of the multiple clocks each had a different time on each faces of the clocks: 5:39, 1:05, 12:20, 3:30, 5:39, 5:39, 5:39, 5:39, 5:39, 10:10. Okay just by looking at the times I wrote here, you can actually see a pattern of some sort. Not sure if it means anything, but I definitely think its some kind of clue.

Some backrooms levels are horror based, some are even comfort based. Not all backrooms have the same danger to them. So you can’t generalize the backrooms as horror when there are many levels that are quite the opposite.
