Dude you are actually so awesome man. You are very professional with everything you do and I can't wait to see what your content is like when the game is actually out!
Dynamite videos, with such limited info. I just wish they’d release some new information, or let us know when the showcase is. Thanks for the positive info and lack of s**t talking, I’m just hyped for this game, and it’s nice to have someone like minded who likes BGS and wants this game to fulfill a lifelong love of space exploration.
@@brianblankenstein4668 Thats a good point actually. There is very little padding out of the videos and literally no shit talking, which is a very nice change of pace from these kind of videos/channels.
Great compilation, been following you for a couple of weeks and it’s refreshing to see people talking about Starfield based on what has been shown and not wild (negative) speculation
I've already watched all these videos separately, but now that they are all put together, I must and am currently watching again! The hype is that real. Thanks for this.
Im going to leave this on loop until starfield comes out. Ive already considered putting in my 4 week notice at work , why do i need a job when ...starfield XD
That's exactly what I did - I played your video in the background while I was doing my homework.
Thank you, greetings from Russia =)
I find myself getting more hyped for this game than I have for any other in a very long time, but I only now understand why.
Buy and modify a ship, go where the work takes you, moral ambiguity, crewmates residing on your ship...
This game is a "The Man They Call Jayne" away from being straight up Firefly.
Take me out to the Black, Bethesda.
If ANYTHING Todd tells us is actually true that is ..... right? Remember fallout 76 stage shows? Remember Todd on stage in his leather jacket and the cheering crowds ? Remember what we actually got?
Just saying. They're good at the hype I'll give em that. The final product....hmmm not so much
@@hazed1009 well if we are going to remember Bethesda, for their work, lets also fairly remember when the hype and the product delivered, and lets remember that it happened more often than the one f76 which was not even their main studio. Even obsidian was allowed to do a fallout new vegas and they did well. this 76 was a shot in the dark and it missed which is why we will be getting a proper good game this time from the real devs imo
@zerooskil7161 I truelly hope they do deliver. Its time we got a game that delivers on the hype. (But if you want a list of a few Bethesda linked game failures to live up to hype, look no further than Redfall, deathloop, Ghostwire:Tokyo, Rage 2 , Prey and horror of horrors wolfstein youngblood!)
Last one was a little joke thrown in, that game didn't even have hype to live up to! The point is tho, they have failed a lot, and they're not the only studio to adopt the practice of massive hype, followed by bitter disappointment, followed by aggressive attacks on the disappointed fans complaining , followed by lack lustre bug fixes and continued microtransaction sales in game to the hard-core fans who put up with the whole thing(I think there's a generation of gamers now who think this was always the way games released, Sadly, and it isn't, or wasnt)
Bethesda is complicated too as there's half a dozen studios interlinked in the name but separate devs. Remember Tod implying the other studio was helping with 76? That was a lie he was caught in.
Anyway let's hope it doesn't matter, let's hope Starfield is a 10 out of 10 game. Honestly I really want to see it deliver. I'm a gamer who grew up on oblivion amd fallout.
@@hazed1009 you literally didn't read what he said. Those games were not developed by Bethesdas A team. The last game that was made by them was Fallout 4.
Yes I got what he said , i figured it is taken as read that fallout 4 WAS GREAT. Its the next game thats the concern here, and what the original post was about, what i was refering to,
And incidently , the so called "Ateam" you're referring to , are you aware that the lead designer of both fallout 4 and fallout 76 was the same person right? (Emil Pagliarulo) and er lead of the whole thing, the guy who signs off on whether the game is fit for release? You realise that Todd right? And a studio changes their staff faster than almost any industry out there because of the work loads and burn out etc.
To say there's a Bethesda "Ateam" , well , I'm not sure who you are actually referring to. It's usually the same writers and designers (tho not always) but programmers come and go at alarming rates.
I hope the guy who mentioned fallout 4 is right, to clarify, if they make as good a game as fallout 4 was for its time, then we will maybe get something special, I've been waiting just as long as anyone , hoping just like everyone else. I just choose not to quite let Todd off the hook yet UNTIL he proves himself with this game not before it arrives. The other problem I have is I want my xbox series x to keep going and not get ripped on just because one game doesn't live up to unnecessary hype.
Starfield now has so much expectation and now , so much of xboxs future riding on it I'm amazed Todd gets to sleep at night, I wouldnt want to be him atm.
Let's hope it nails it. (Fingers crossed)
Wow, read my mind as I was thinking just this morning about watching all your videos again, perfect timing! Thanks for your hard work, awesome job!
The artwork is incredible, i absolutely love the concept art for this game
everyone wants to play as the blonde girl lol and that ship. it ofc is the art work that is inspired by mass effect titles so we def get that brain trigger of instantly like.
Great video! You're holding my pieces together when i'm trying not to explode from hype
love you luke , youre awesome man please continue sharing your passion and interest with us
Rarely subscribe and turn on notifications but this channel is just that. Outstanding content 👏 👌 ✨ 🙌
Great vid man!!! I’m absolutely so stoked for Starfield and CANT FREAKIN WAIT to get into it!!!
Luke, dont see this a s a jab, but i really admire your capacity to produce a one hour enthusiastic video about absolutely nothing while we wait for any crumbs of info from bethesda.
Haha, well this is a bunch of smaller videos put together. I’m no MrMarty over here, haha.
Good idea! I use option two (for now) :)
Much appreciated.
I’m super excited for this game man lol the only other time I’ve been this excited (I think I’m even more excited than I was then tbh) was waiting for Skyrim. I remember it very clearly the day it was even first announced. It was Saturday, December 11, 2010 and I was in 8th grade when Skyrim was finally announced. And I can tell you, that was the longest year of my life at the time. I used to even have dreams about playing it. I made sure to pay attention in school, do all of my homework, make new friends, even got my first girlfriend, I literally did everything in my power to make sure that I had zero stress and zero things to worry about the day it came out. It was Thursday November 10 I had it preordered a long time ago already, everyone in my family knew how excited I was. My mom knew so she’d let me go to the midnight release and stay home from school. My brother would be the one to drive me over to GameStop at 10 and wait so I could be the first to get it. Well the heavens aligned because that night it snowed so bad (I live in New Mexico in the south were it literally never snows) that school was canceled for 2 weeks because it was a record setting blizzard and all the infrastructure was frozen solid. So basically I waited in the snow for it, I remember that night so vividly I never took my eyes of the case of the game on the drive back home. I remember thinking since it never snowed like that that would suck if we wrecked and I died with Skyrim in my hands before I ever got to play it 😂 but basically that is one of the best moments of my entire life simply because it was as if the heavens lined up for me with school being canceled for 2 WHOLE WEEKS and I got to stay boarded inside the whole time all cozy playing Skyrim which takes place in a very cold place so I was super immersed lol and after watching the trailer every day for a year straight, being excited for a new elder scrolls long before Skyrim was even announced, Starfield is the only game since then that has given me the same excitement, feelings and level of enthusiasm. And the only other game within the next 10 years after this will be TES 6 lol I wasn’t even this excited for fallout 4. Don’t get me wrong I was excited but my gut tells me Starfield is going to be something really special. Like Skyrim was. Especially in a spiritual way at least for me. Because I’ve taken the same approach of bettering my lifestyle just so when it comes out I can focus on it entirely without any distractions or negativity
GREAT video! Can’t wait to follow you as the game comes out and you make more content on starfield
At 51:50 you stated you were unsure about the Reactor vs Equipment Power, I think the 'Equipment Power' is the power drain from the reactor. If that is the case, a bigger reactor would be required for that ship to function with that equipment configuration.
Awesome work. Can't wait to get this up and running.
This wait is agonizing!
as someone born into gaming you brought tears to my eyes with your closing statement kudos, I could not have said it better.
I watched all of these individual episodes already, but then I watched this one as well. Kinda like buying Skyrim for the 3rd time. It all makes sense now.
Great videos make a summary like this enjoyable, and you hit the nail on the head! Thank you!
It would be nice with maybe a video or two around the ingame lore? Baseless speculation is always fun
Thanks for watching. The whole idea of Constellation being "the last group of space explorers" really fascinates me.
I missed that video about possible launch dates. Given what Todd Howard said in the past about short windows between expo events and the launch of a main title, I guess if we don't hear about a Bethesda event in the next 3 weeks then the July date would seem more likely, IMO.
Just spent the last two hours watching this while playing ESO. Learned a few things about Starfield and it gave me some hope that it will be much better than 76 was.
Awesome video. Like your takes on all the different subjects. Can’t wait to play.
I’m from the future.Found u after the Starfield direct. Subbed and haven’t been disappointed.
What Todd said at 5:00 does make sense because back in 2010 when I was in school, I had a computer project to do and I created a solar system with planets that actually had a planetary surface to them when zooming in, and those were all generated through a code I made and it worked great. It ended up looking like Age of Empire or something, from a bird-eyes view. If little me was able to do something like that, then for sure a bunch of professional developers can do it too.
Great vlog video...Good way to catch up on videos iv'e missed...Nice one Luke 🙂
This AIO video has been helpful in catching up with this information. There is a lot I haven't picked up on from other creators. You're doing some good work on this channel.
great personality. amazing and well made videos.
Funny and great to see this channel grow so damn quick as the hype grows too.
Nearly at 10,000 subscribers!!
I subscribed I'll definitely be watching your channel up to and after release for info and tips. Great channel
This channel and game is what I have been waiting for the past last 20 years 👌
In reference to the pacing of space combat, as an avid Mechwarrior fan, the pacing depends on the size class of mechs. Smaller mechs offer faster, almost race car like dog fighting. The largest mechs offer slow, tactical battles which are still exciting despite the pace. Sometimes in an Atlas or Daishi which are the largest mechs, the combat feels more like a sniper match with slight maneuvers, posturing and use of terrain really making a difference. It is like the difference between a game of blackjack versus a game of chess. If this is true for Starfield and they can capture some of the fun of Mechwarrior, we are really in for a treat!
The idea of a sense of solitude is amazing , reaching out further and further into the unknown ,
Great channel, you're a pleasure to listen to.
I'm excited to watch
Luke making me watch all his videos again…so I will 😂
Just sitting here waiting for Bethesda to announce the date!!
Im 30 and havent really been into games for a while, I play about 20mins of casual swbf2 on xbox a day but havent been into an rpg in a long time. Im actually so excited for this
This channel is going to be one of the top Starfield channels..that much is obvious ✌️..
I really enjoy two RDR2 and Skyrim FB groups that are really cool and fun..
I'd love to see you start a Facebook channel as a place where all of your fans could get together hint hint🙃..
We're all going sharing info as we head into different directions in the game I'm sure..
Thanks, Brent! So glad to have you as a channel member. I am looking into Facebook right now. It seems there are already a few communities started on there. I may see about just becoming an active member of those existing groups instead of trying to get my own up and running, but we'll see. Good suggestion!
56:19 i just now realized the front of the cockpit currently equipped has char marks on the front where as the one we see a few moments after doesn’t showing that bethesda even took the time to show the wear and tear on the hulls of coming into orbit over and over again and the heat generated causing said marks 👏👏👏👏 amazing attention to detail i love it, i am gonna save up to by a PC just to play this if it isn't a bugged out mess apon release
As I've seen all your video up to this one, and the description clearly says no new content for existing subs, I have however liked this video as I think it's a great idea for new comers. It must have taken you ages. Gratz.
This channel is gonna be big
I'm just along for the ride, haha. But happy to have as many people join us as want to.
I know its been done before but can you make a video about the possibility of ground vehicles existing or not in game
Yes please. I've heard people say you cant because to many planets too rough. Well why not have wheeled and tracked vehicles for smooth snow and desert type planets, and hover craft vehicles for rough terrain planets.
hmmm, I'll have to do some digging. I feel like this may be one of the things they clarify at the event for us. I might hold off so a whole video isn't immediately outdated, lol.
@@starfieldsignal thank you i understand specially when the event is this close........ Probably 😂😂
Great content btw keep it up 👍
"everyone is wrong" - a very bold statement from someone that hasn't played the game 😂
Watching this in prep for part 2 while playing disgaea 6 cuz why not haha
The economy in Fable 2 was so fun. I loved that part. Overall F2 was miles bettter than the first one and I just heard they're making another one. Gosh I would be so into a dynamic economy like that or Starfield!
The problem is that so many people decide from the get go that they’re going to hate this game. They think the game will be dry and boring.
They don’t watch where the developers explain how the game is going to feel and be.
Personally, I think the game will truly be one of my favorites. I love the idea of 1,000 planets. That’s what I loved about ME1. I loved going to the Star map and figuring out where I’m going to go. I crave the feeling of exploring a planet and feeling the loneliness of space. I don’t want a game that’s mindlessly crammed with a bunch of crap.
It’s one of the reasons I loved RDR2 so much. I loved the loneliness of the open trails.
I seriously can’t wait for this game.
🎵 Wake me up when September begins 🎵
Damn I love this channel
As for space combat speed my unequal example was the fantastic depth and how thrilling the combat and how huge and satisfying the skill ceiling was in Halo 1,2 and 3 when input delay, frame rate and average ping were all at levels that would be completely unacceptable today. Though we’re only talking about actual in game speed and not those three specific issues, there is a definite comparison.
But “It’s not speed of the pace but the nature of the pace” is an excellent way of describing it.
Keep up the good work
This game is going to be really great and I hope we could do alots in Starfield
Think that I'll name my ship "The Dancing Dame" for my neutral alignment playthrough, "The Asses' Jawbone" for my evil playthrough, and "The Shrieking Starling" for my good playthrough.
I'm really hoping the economy is fun in this one, there is some mad potential. A balancing game between cost and income across your various outposts throughout the universe.
Another banger 🔥
I have a very strong feeling there will be a stepping out moment/cutscene for the initial discovery of a new planet. While returning to planets this will be gone or an option
Gr8 job🤙🏿
Was looking to see if i missed something, but nah, i already saw all of it, i'm proud of myself lmao XD
I really hope there is a great economy system. I want my outposts and cargo runs to feel useful. If not, I hope someone can mod a economy overhaul.
Actually really liked anthem it was so close to perfection
im so hyped for this game I really hope it does well
In that interview about Todd you shared i watched it and he actually said that there will be some kind of Romance i think
I wonder if the circle on planet around 2:20 indicates where you can land. Like a pointer. Point to the city or POI and land there or point next to it and land next to it and you could still walk there. Or any point of that world.
i think Todd already basically explained that you could walk from one side to the other side of the planet if you dont mind walking for hours hehe. Which is why i still believe there will be some sort of land transportation
This supercut isn't long enough. By the time it's over, I still won't know when the game will be released. 😅
lol, watch it at .25x speed and tell me how that southern charm holds up, lol.
@@starfieldsignal haha I just tried 2x and your voice just sounds faster but Todd Howard sounds like a chipmunk! 😂
35:04 In previous Bethesda games and in Skyrim more specifically, you could hire a follower for 500 for an unlimited amount of time. It might also be the case with Starfield. You can either afford or not the single initial payment required to hire this NPC indefinitely.
36:12 The description of the Cyber Runner background does not allude to trade with manufacturers. To me it just seems like brief explanation as to why the below starting skills are grouped together.
39:25 Certain manufacturers might sell parts of better quality but at a higher price. This does not imply fluctuating prices within the game. It might simply be that certain manufacturers are associated with better and more costly items at a set price within the game. The same way it's done in the Mass Effect troligy for weapons and mods.
I'm pretty sure that you'll be able to extract and sell ressources from outposts and maybe even set up trade routes in between them but I highly doubt that there will be price fluctuations especially fluctuations cause by your actions.
43:59 Maybe it'll be generally easy to avoid dogfights outside of scripted events and keep the pace slow as Todd mentioned but they're might be areas you can go where it's easier to pick a fight. Just a thought.
@@starfieldsignal You bet. Thanks for posting, your vids are fun to watch. Also, you really have a voice for UA-cam. Thumbs up and subscribed. 👍
i really dont know why people hate on spore. i loved it as a teenager. more than 15 years ago
Luke. I didn't watch as you clearly said no new content (much appreciated that you value our time). But I thought a little feedback.
Good choice to pull everything together and as I said excellent that you clearly stated no new content. If the rumours are true you'll be able to start previewing the showcase next. I've said this before but I think this was a prime candidate for chapters. If any of had missed specific content we could watch it without trawling through 90 minutes
Your content continues to be well judged and high quality which is why you stand out for the growing starfield crowd i think.
My other plea is either no spoilers or clearly signposted warnings of spoilers. I will take my time to play the game (and I die a lot) so spend my life avoiding the 'all endings' videos that come out 2 days after release.
Keep up the good work
Paul from the UK
Thanks so much for the feedback. I wasn’t sure from your comments on the chapters, but I do have them in this video, did you see them?
@@starfieldsignal Luke, please see all my comments as positive as I'm only trying help. I can't see chapters on UA-cam. I can see you have listed time stamps in the comments. Take a look at the spawn wave daily video, he has what I'm calling chapters with the play progress line in sections. I hope that's clear
@@paulflack5653 as you know I’m a total noob, lol. Send me a link about chapters and I’ll try to watch.
@@starfieldsignal no worries, that's part of what makes you channel so good. I take the view we only improve if we understand what we can do better. Now I have to work out how to send you a link.
It's nice to have a video about Bethesda that isn't hate. I mean they literally have only made one failed game, and it's not even a failure anymore.
It wasn't necessarily the failure that caused the hate. When fans came out and asked Bethesda what the heck they were only met with excuse after excuse and given a pittance of a consolation through in game currency. Then baggate came and they said they weren't going to do anything about it. It wasn't until after the threat of legal action that Bethesda got their shit together
They're nothing more than greedy, money loving cucks. They don't give a shit about the quality of their products or how they treat the consumer.
When you are a creator, entertainment or otherwise, you are only as good as your last creation.
Let's be honest, it is a failure if you consider what it sold. Simplistic and slow by default, granter some ini file hacks fixed somewhat the fps cap.
Heres hoping they'll get a smooth release when ever they happen to launch. The year 2023 seems to have a trend of gaming companies launching poorly performing games that get nuked in the gaming community because of it.
What I want to know is since space and ground gampley is 2 different realities how much freedom do I have flying around in space. For example can I fly from one end of the system to the other end like from Mars all the way to Pluto seamlessly? Or will you be limited to a certain distance around individual planets. If you can seamlessly fly around an entire system that leaves room for secrets like black holes, abandoned space stations ect.
1:46:31 Well, they actually had already planned for npcs. They just did it faster after the feedback.
Can't stop the signal Mal 😉
1:14:11
I hope that there are enough tiers in the skills to keep them interesting. Also, i want to max all of the skills. The dialog system seems really engaging. The hype train for me has been max level for a while now.
Nice! It would be cool to see how long it would take you to max out all of the skills.
What is wrong with ship combat being slow? It’s not terribly limiting, it’s a conscious decision to have a slower pace. That’s the tone they want. Personally, I have no problem with this.
if they let me create my own Rimmerworld i will consider buying this game
I can't wait to make huge cargo ships and hopefully you have a shipping business
Not knocking Starfield, I'm excited to play it. However, is it just me or does the basics we've learned so far sound a whole lot like Firefly? Is Joss Whedon apart of the writers?
I wanted to also add I think it would be cool to have guardian planets, where you would need to get past an outfitted alien battleship to access a rich planet. Much like the planet Orion in MOO 2
17:35 id bet my bottom dollar on you, maybe even my top! Tha way research is very well done 👍🏿
Haha, well I was off by two months, but in my defense they announced it outside their initial window. Release date is 9-6-23
Yeah but they themselves didn’t even get it right, it was how you produced your conclusion!
wouldnt it be really cool if you go to earth and you get the story of how we destroyed ourselves with the atom bombs and if you land on earth say somewhere in the western US it may be hand crafted locations from fallout new vegas, or maybe its from the locations in fallout 4. These locations could still have people weve met in those games, or maybe even find a working mr. handy and it joins your crew. Cogsworth....lol That would be cool
I'm curious if factions are going to be organic or stagnate. Plus how will general AI act
Well I don't think that falling asleep would help. Haha but I tell you what. I will Like it. That may help some. ;)
I'm dying to get my hands on this game
imagine how many hours of gameplay, all the planets to explore and build...and the MODS
