I guess most did not even notice that he would have died there. Personally I saw twice people with similar injuries that (probably) barely made it. One received a headbut and the other was hit with a beer-bottle. It looks pretty nasty when the skin is dead-pale, cracked and bleading heavily and the eyes are unfocused and bloodshot.
Renegade Cz Um, all of the SEALs in Lone Survivor (not "lonely") *did* die, except one of course. Also, Marcus Luttrell's (the lone survivor) injuries were slightly exaggerated in the film. Regardless, in reality, he also would have died if not for the timely medical attention from an Afghan villager.
edi Some of it is kinda ridiculous, I mean if I got a cranial or mandible fracture everytime I got punched or kicked in the face, I wouldn't be alive to type in this comment. .
Renegade Cz It's actually very easy to fracture a bone or cause minor or major internal bleeding, especially when you're being hit by someone or something. It takes surprisingly little force to fracture a bone. A bone fracture and a broken bone are quite different.
God, the sixth one just went WAYYY too far with the OTT action. It was the first one that I was literally saying out load, "haha yeah, OKAY!" Dom jumping across the highway and grabbing Letty. Ugh...
there is a part in fast 6 i believe when they are chasing the baddie - shaw (in his little formula 1 flip car) in london i think, in black coloured bmw 5 series - tej (ludacris) and roman are those definitely in pursuit of the villains and they fire those little circular things onto the cars which disable the car and mess up the steering, anyway both tej and roman have a pretty horrific crash im pretty sure one of them goes though a building and then in the next scene after the carnage is all over you see both characters almost without a scratch walking around like nothing happened. Im pretty sure they would die.
It just dawned on me that it would have been better for all of us if John McClane actually did die in Die Hard 4. Sacrificing yourself while spouting off your catchphrase is a great way to go... certainly better than living long enough to see yourself become the villain.
+Dick Grayson I agree. Die Hard 4 was pretty good. But Die Hard 5 was just horrendous. I feel many of the old movies that came out when the main lead were young men in their prime. But in modern times, either they should do a complete reboot or have a new family member of the main lead continue on the role.
***** well terminator genesis was ok in that it was passable. but terminator 4 was a little wierd. but personally the 80s and 90s movies should be rebooted with a new character who is at or around the age the original actor was when he made the movie. For example, for the next lethal weapon movie (which I heard may be in the works) chose newer actors who are around the age of gibson and glover when the original movies come out.
***** well the lethal weapon remake was being considered. But any movie can be remade properly provided that the movie captures the time period properly. I mean the camera filters should emulate with the time period. So sharp crisp graphics don't make sense for a film set in the 40s or 50s. Similarly color should be there as well. Too many modern movies simply use a cold white balance while filming
***** plus we are now in an era that is super sensitive to racial stereotypes, mild racism, sexual harassment, sexism, etc. In that time, the rules were far more lax and people found some humor in those things thats just not there anymore.
As a pathologist I found the injury tabulation hilarious. Fractured a rib just laughing! Bring on more "professional consultations." The lack of honest injuries in movies has always been fascinating to me. Thanks, Honest Trailers makers!
Jack Daone Indeed, The fact that he is knocked to the ground imply a significant amount of force, its going to be at a minimum a serious concussion and internal hemorrhaging.
+Lucas Hammar To be fair, he fractured the same bones twice in the second movie. He'd have died anyway because you can't fight if you have your shoulder fractured twice.
you kind of cant do honest action for that. you cant compare them to a normal human. thats like saying hulk will die if he falls from a 6 story building onto concrete. same goes for cap merika. since theyre SUPERheroes, or SUPERhuman, you cant compare them to humans
there would still be difficulty with that, unless he wasn't (Fully armored) suited up you would have to have to make all sorts of calculations and have full knowledge of all(even technical) specifications (especially particular counterforce or impact dampening resistances and material strength of the armored structure).Unless his armor was completely destroyed ; example: after the escape scene, while in descent, with his first suit that would have been instant death. he would of made a beautiful palm tree.
Keeps posting comments on the videos about bringing back Honest Action, then Screenjunkies will have to listen. Especially if it gives them even more subscribers.
you missed falling into a pool filled with stagnate radioactive water if he doesn't get an infection from any of his multiple wounds or somehow develop superpoweres, he's going to die for sure!
Lost about Oh, right. I forgot about that. Chernobyl isn't actually particularly radioactive in point of fact but it's entirely possible the water would be contaminated.
JonathanToolonie If you'll notice the three Honest Action videos they did each have less views than the average Honest Trailer vid so I'm guessing that's a big reason why they haven't been doing more
The Nolan Batman films would be good to do. Especially his fights with Bane. Or the recent Bond movies, like his fall from the plane in Quantum of Solace.
Here's an idea... Do 4 Arnold Schwarzenegger movies. My picks would be Commando (John Matrix), The Running Man (Ben Richards), Predator (Dutch) and True Lies (Harry Tasker.)
I want more honest action videos, wish there was a professional that is willing to analyse movies if the hero or villain would survive those situations.
Piers Watson though I haven't seen the movie, I'm willing to bet there was a lot of truth-bending for the sake of the movie. It would be interesting to see.
Troilus Maximus actually if you read the book they actually went through much worse and Marcus Luttrell goes into detail about their injuries which he still suffers from today and had multiple surgeries afterwards.
Cute idea, but it relies heavily on the premise that no one would ever survive a punch to the face or running into a wall. Not saying that John McClane would survive all that punishment, but an orbital blowout and mandible/skull fractures from a punch to the face? Does he now have that Mr. Glass condition from "Unbreakable"?
They forgot to mention that in Die Hard 5, John McClaine and his son were in Chernobyl and the city is extremely radiated. They would've died from overexposure.
PLEASE DO ONE OF MICHAEL MYERS. I realize he's the embodiment of evil yadda yadda but it's still a human body and I would like to know really how many lives that guy would need throughout the franchise. Thanks guys!! Keep up the great content!!
you can definitely survive being bottled with a beer bottle, you'll have head trauma and probably a concussion but it's definitely not impossible to survive.
To the front of the head maybe but John was hit at the back, just below the skull and where the neck and skull connect. Thats literally like a human snooze button, hit that with a hard enough force and you will die if not given medical attention on the dot. A beer bottle will do just the trick if hit at that right spot.
LOL, the first Bourne movie made me believe that you can use a dead body for a safe landing and I really want to hear a professional if this is possible or not
For the cringing at the increasingly horrific injuries, the way it was done was so funny. I don't know why they haven't done any more. I'm surprised McClane was analysed to (barely) survive the second movie. I couldn't help but be amused when it went to the third film and McClane was immediately said to die the first injury he got. My favourite bit had to be when McClane fell out of a building and the doctor just said it so matter-of-fact. "Super dead"; haha, I love this channel's dark comedy.
The problem with these expert analysis bits is there are plenty of people who survive just about everything they chock a death up to every year. Hell, there are people who do it for a living.
It's funny, at first they tried to be realistic-ish but as you go on they stop trying. *Movie one:* His survival is improbable, but the guy looks like raw hamburger by the end. *Movie two:* Goes through a lot, but upon closer examination by someone who knows medical stuff, nothing truly unsurvivable. *Movies 3-5:* He's straight-up Wolverine!
"Today's patient..." Too funny because none seem to end up in the hospital.- though they should. Do Batman next. Regardless of the technology of the batsuit, some of that ****should kill him! Another good one - Taken. How many times would Liam die?
Well at least he (barely) survives Die Hard 2! lol Who would have thought that a film with special forces and air plane explosions would be the most survivable :D
Mo if they're making a third one I wouldn't challenge anyone to do a breakdown of the damage...I think even the first and second one are quite the stretch
I'm curious to see Gravity; tho the movie tries hard for accuracy of physics and science, the shear impact the characters go through when hitting into the space parts must've been fatal every time they hit into a solid surface in space (you're going super duper fast around orbit and whatnot).
actually the movie was not scientifically accurate, it was very messed up. The only reason people think it is sci-ency is cause its in space. and orbits are very similar to one another therefore it is not going to make much of a differnce on the impact.
wishmasterbrazen actually quite a few astronauts praised the movie for its realism. Sure the director took a lot of liberties but you have to give credit that, given the scenario, it was quite realistic (especially if you put it next to the usual mainstream "scifi" movies)
Seriously? No injuries after catapulting? This is hell for body, huge overworking. Pilots after catapulting need big vacation, even some of them don't work at all after that. It is a miracle that John can stand on his feet after that
Die Hard 2: Survives entire movie.
Die Hard 3: Dies in first 10 minutes.
+Lewis Costin I was about to say the same thing! lol
+Lewis Costin Die Hard 4: Is killed twice by a girl.
+Lewis Costin 11 minutes.
well he was pretty messed up end of die hard 1&2. I guess die hard 3 first injury was tipping point for easy reset
XD
Please bring this series back!

I agree.
Agreed, please bring back this series!
Yeah, I'm surprised! What happened to it? It was just getting started!
also, with the tympanic rupture, you should have given us a, "John McClain Is Deaf"
Honestly don't know why Screen Junkies decided not to make more of these, they were great.
this my first time watching one of these but im sure they probably get repetitve.
@@p0pimp2004 Not really. Each movie/series has different things happening. It's difficult to know when someone shouldn't have survived things.
Because they decided to create and then abort that stupid series about fictional characters rapping
Thomas Carmichael They should’ve done the Dark knight movies
Because they are terrible
So basically, Die Hard 2 features the most realistic John McClane in the entire franchise.
...and in die hard 3 he's dead before the movie even gets into the real plot
well, survive may be a bit of a stretch, but no single injury is a guarantee fatality...
***** Though it doesn't take a fatality to incapacitate a human being.
Nah, just the least dangerous action.
@@CaptHayfever Or the most believable. I'm sure Transformers action is way more dangerous than John Wick action as well.
I love how he barely survives Die Hard 2 from plane explosions and whatnot, and within 3 seconds of Die Hard 3 he dies from a bottle to the head.

Do Honest Action for
Bourne franchise
Rambo franchise
Bond franchise
Taken franchise
Mission Impossible franchise
Indiana Jones franchise
Rambo was pretty fair about his injuries, tho.
+Lit_red bazooka in first blood killed him instantly tho
fast and furious
And:
Fast and Furious Franchise
Expendables Trilogy
Terminator Franchise
Hunger Games Quadrilogy
Indi would not have died in that fridge, I don't need to go to university to know that for a fact!:D
Guys why did you stop doing this stuff? It's hilarious
I like how it goes Die Hard 2: No deaths, good job!
Die Hard With a Vengeance: Dies twice immediately.
0:12 - Ode to Joy
0:18 - Les Toreador
1:29 - Waltz
2:43 - Hall of the Mountain King
4:02 - Ode to Joy again
The music makes it seem less brutal that we're watching people get severe injuries.
As a pathologist I found the injury tabulation hilarious. Fractured a rib just laughing! Bring on more "professional consultations." The lack of honest injuries in movies has always been fascinating to me. Thanks, Honest Trailers makers!
Do "Flubber". So many head shots.
definitely flubber hematoma for the win!!!
Thats because each one that died is a John Mc Clone
+Quentin Sciascia Boooooo
I see what you did there. And I liked that pun
I miss these. Are they ever going to do these anymore?
Maybe we should all tweet them and ask them to please do these? That'll get their attention.
Honest Action for MAD MAX!!
The director of the "Mad Max" films was a doctor, so I am guessing most of the injuries and reactions to the injuries would be fairly accurate.
+Melvin Barrameda Doesn't mean there wouldn't be any plot holes though
Honest Action: The Dark Knight Rises
HONEST ACTION!!!
Jonh MClain is super dead
+Nando Henriques John McClain was John McSlain
Turboooooo kid!!!!!! :)
But he's not super dad, that's for sure.
@@NguyenHoang-mo7hs You got a point
Bring Honest Action back please!
Do James Bond.
+Ali Pasha LOL imagine Honest Action: Spectre. "Severe drill injury to the brain. James Bond is super dead."
James Bond: Like 100 or something gun shot wounds
James Bond is ether Superman in a spy costume or he is SUPER SUPER DUPER DEAD!!!!!!
+Ali Pasha that would be awsome
+justin brunetta I always assumed each actor was a new agent with same code name, hense some how outliving his bosses & taking so much punishment
I lost it when they said John McClane is super dead.
So did John survive the whole second movie so he would die immediately in the third?
Right? This doctor must be all kinds of fun when watching Westerns. "Oh, bottle to the head, yeah, he's dead. He's dead too. And that guy. And him..."
Maybe the doctor still counted all the inquiries from the last movie
Jack Daone Indeed, The fact that he is knocked to the ground imply a significant amount of force, its going to be at a minimum a serious concussion and internal hemorrhaging.
+Lucas Hammar To be fair, he fractured the same bones twice in the second movie. He'd have died anyway because you can't fight if you have your shoulder fractured twice.
Survives Die Hard 2...
...Killed instantly in Die Hard 3.
If you ever decide to do this series, do Indiana Jones.
Hahah!! they should do this with the Bond films.
Good call man, Jame bond movies are the one for sure!! from Dr. No to this modern crap.
Do all four of the Indiana Jones movies!
What are you talking about? There are only three Indiana Jones Movies.
Very wrong sir. There are 4. Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, Last Crusade, and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Kinda depressing to see how easy it is actually to die/injure yourself, while in the movies they rarely injure themselves.
Would love to see these pieces make a comeback. It's fascinating and so much fun to watch.
Honest Action - All The Marvel Movies(the one that tie in with the avengers)
Do it!
you kind of cant do honest action for that. you cant compare them to a normal human. thats like saying hulk will die if he falls from a 6 story building onto concrete. same goes for cap merika. since theyre SUPERheroes, or SUPERhuman, you cant compare them to humans

i disagree
I wonder why they stopped making them ? There are so may Action movis to choose from they could spend a whole year on honest action.
I really hope they bring the series back this serious is amazing, I would love to see an honest action of lethal weapon one through four
Analyze Tony Stark in all of the Marvel movies he was in
Pretty much every hard landing inside the suit will kill him, lol
Chloride Cull Especially when he took that nuclear bomb from The Avengers movie.
He is protected by the "Genius, billionaire, playboy, philantropist" buff.
That's tricky business, as we don't know how good the shock absorption is in the armor.
still waiting for those i don`t care how long the video`s gonna be and i`m gonna be pissed if this is all it
1:26 - 1:33 Roll credits. And that's Die Hard 3, short movie.
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 so true.
Indiana jones
How about doing an Honest Action video for the Fast and the Furious movies?
GameStation3 That would be like a 30 minute video, for the most recent one alone.
4:37:
Them - "John McClane is Super Dead."
Me - 😂😂😂
I can't believe John McClain survived the entire Die Hard 2 movie... wow.
It's a Christmas miracle!
Please bring this series back .
Honest action of all 007 series
This was actually really cool. Please do more.
Batman or Neo! Do them...

Maybe he did get superpowers and a good day to die hard actually happened before all the others, and that's how he survived.
When did he fall into radioactive water?
L1ttleT3d At the end of DH5, it's in the middle of the office building in Chernobyl...

Do the 3 Stooges film that came out back a few years ago.
+Roman Neill I don't think they have enough space at the top
We need more of this! NOW!
Still waiting on an Honest Trailer for Green Lantern.
1:28 I lost it, friggin John dies the moment he enters Die Hard 3
Please do this one about Home Alone movies. This is just riddicilous how the bad guys survived from Kevin traps
Must I say it or do you already know?
I think they did that, Look in the "Honest Action" playlist.
They did Home Alone 1 and 2. But they have not yet done Home Alone 3. They should do Home Alone 3.
Honest Action is HILARIOUS! Please do more Screen Junkies!

All batman movies.
