I was born in Papeete but grew up in NZ. In regards to food & manners, it really depends who you're living with in Tahiti or family you're living with.

Woaw I'm Tahitian and lived in Tahiti my whole life. I never heard of "if you sweep the floor at night or it vitamins you'll let bad spirits in". You must have been with very "special" people or they were making fun of you with a serious face... This is one big thing with Tahitian people, we love to make fun of others. It can be hard for strangers but don't get angry. It is not malicious.

One of the first places to ring in the New Year. I am here in Kansas, USA at 2:45 am on a Friday December 31. Papeete it is 10:45pm on Friday Night. They got over an hour till January 1st.

I like the way you explain your video i gues everything that your tell is true and ypu can find it in all the pacific islands ! Thats is why im proud to be a pacific islander.. culture,religion and family ii part of pur life.we cant runaway from it..another thing i love about the pacific pple is we feel tat eating with fingers is sweet than using a fork/spoon....
