Petula Clark was also a cherished and celebrated artist among French-Canadians.Her ability to maintain a successful career in multiple countries added to her allure. The first songs I heard by Petula Clark were in French and were big hits. The last time she was here was 2018 and appeared at The Grand Theatre De Quebec and Place Des Arts in Montreal. In 2008 she was made “Officer Of The Order Of Canada”. My mother was a fan 🎧👏🏻❤️🥁
At 0:54 and 0:58 you can tell she is smiling and having fun just from the tone of her voice. At 1:08 you hear her absolutely beautiful voice in how she sings the word, 'me'. And to think, this is her displaying her talent years after she was already well known. She is one of my favourite female singers. Combine her and Charlie Chaplin and you have pure magic!
🎧👍👍 I've said it before; what an uncommonly beautiful woman in every way. This song reminds me a bit of a childhood record called, Skinnie Minnie Fishtail. Thank you, Pat for another perfect remix.
I'm a big fan of Petula , But got to say never heard this one before . also what a great sound from you,re remix nice one Pat. Ps Good to see some German listeners tuning in.
Wow, what a nice song, what an excellent remix. Very famous in Germany back then in 1963. Petula Clark released a total of 22 singles in German up to 1971, five of which reached the top ten. The first was 'Monsieur' in 1962, also written by Götz and Hertha.
👍👍👍Beautiful song, and great sound, PAT Here are my songs that I miss in Stéréo remix for me ,Wooden Heart, Surrender, His latest flame, Can't help falling in Love, Good Luck charm, She is not you, You are the divil in disguise, Burning love, Until it's Time fo you to go, You don't have to Say you love me,You gave me a mountain, Moody Blue , please Every month you remix one song it's great ,and I hope Elvis Presley fans like this list 😊😊😊.
Think this was the B side to Chariot as I only know it as it is on a compilation I acquired. Cute wee song and don’t think she did an English version. Sounds more like one her earlier year records so 1963 surprised me. Still remember seeing her as a wee boy in The Runaway Bus with Frankie Howard in the cinema.
I discovered this song on a various artists 1963 compilation CD. And I liked it straight away. I don't think anyone has made a stereo version of it before, so I thought I'd be the first!
Love this song, it’s so special especially with the German and English mix, well a little bit of English! 😍
