Oh man!! That road it definitely goes down as one of my all-time favorites! And in the border crossings... way old school. That was definitely another one of my favorites!! 🍻
Thanks for bringing that road back to me. - loved it. One of the Touratech panniers dropped off on the way to the border !! We stayed at Baja Caracoles and met two riders (an American and a Mexican) who were turned away from the fuel pumps. Well, after we had our meal, the owners asked me if we wanted petrol - seems he has some in reserve for guests !!! We loved the Cave of the Hands - the weather was better for us - dead calm. Rose is just so calm. ❤
Too funny! I've actually heard multiple accounts of the owner of that gas station arbitrarily turning people away... We found out after the fact that he wasn't actually out of gas, but he just refused to unlock the pumps because it was Christmas Day. He was actually outside running around with his kids while a half-dozen Vehicles were stranded waiting on gas. I guess he figures he can make a bit of extra money charging them for camping... 😅
Love your adventure rides and videos. You're an amazing couple. Please continue sharing and be safe... BTW, I always forward a d share you videos with fellow riders...
Superb entertainment and scenery What is it with Rosie and dead things? 😁😁 Does she watch Zombie movies on a Saturday evening? Aye..yet again Chile, wants you to taste the ground Stay safe and thank you for sharing
Sinners and Saints, Saints to sinners. Just got back from another surgery still feeling effects of anesthesia, but at least I get to see another great video!! Rose stay away from dead animals they are harbinger of all things you do not really want to catch. Chad glad you guys had a soft landing and everything is OK. You guys be safe out there enjoy life to the fullest and keep the robber side up brother man.
Wow !! Awesome again!! Your attitude is great and contagious. Being able to laugh and have fun in life's situations are what keeps life lite and enjoyable. Now I want to ride S. America because to you two. So glad your channel is growing !!!! you deserve more. Always excellent content, thanks, safe travels always
Thanks so much! Be sure to tell your friends and help us get those numbers up!! 😀💪 It's easy to smile with riding and views like that! That road still ranks among my favorites!
Haha, seems to be a AfricaTwin road. I took this road during the World Cup and had to stay at the boarder just to watch a football match. 🤣 in the nomansland between Argentina and Chile were pretty deep gravel. Glad you’ve made through! Always enjoy your ride! 👍 Jens
You watched the game at the Chilean outpost, right?? They didn't have a TV at Paso Roballos!! Wait, so you crossed at Roballos via 41 from Los Antiguos or Bajo Caracoles??
@@TwoWheelsThreeSheets No, at the Argentina side. The guy there just had an small black&white tv from home and used a portable satellite system. 🤣 I came from Chile and took the opposite side to baja caracoles. Wonderful area! A week later I have seen you guys in El Chalten. 😜 Tomorrow I gonna try to cross Peru! 😉 So still, enjoy your ride! I absolutely love your videos! Jens
Wow! A black and white television with a satellite feed? That might be the first time in history that's ever happened!! 😅 Good luck in Peru, I heard things have been a bit dodgy lately... we'll see you down the road! 🍻
Amazing route!!!!!, you showed beautiful landscapes, I think it was enough to camp there one night, I imagine a starry night!!. What a good welcome from the Chilean gravel hahaha so that you remember that nothing is easy here... good route
I worry when I have to drive over loose gravel, especially when pushed into long furrows! and mounds. I had 5 km of that on Ruta 40 as I recall. I got pretty good following the furrow/tire tracks. Beautiful country!
The answer for fixing just about anything in this part of the world is simply "more gravel"... The worst is when you have oncoming traffic on a crowned road with fresh road base... I've seen a few riders put into the ditch by drivers who assume that it's easy for us to simply move off to the side of the road... 😡
The moral to the story is that the price to pay for sinning is manageable? Nice little section there that I have not done yet. Did you know about the next section south that connects lago posadas to parque nacional perito moreno? Its not on any maps that i know of but can see it in satellite view.
@@TwoWheelsThreeSheets look for a series of about 20 switchbacks running up the hill from Lago posadas on the south side of the alluvial fan. The road follows an Alpine valley not the river valleys you are looking at.
Even a dead horse needs a pet. You better get that grasshopper out of your mouth, you may have problems cross at the border crossing. That scenery is breath taking. Ride well. Cheers
@ 8:40 they need one of elon musk's Star link to have internet and phone. Then they can be like everyone else. 🙂 I wish again I had started here 1 year ago next after being recommended to me by youtube. 🙂
Actually, some very remote sections of the Amazon have Starlink. We used it at Tres Fronteras... I'm glad to hear the UA-camz is (finally) recommending the channel! 💪
Honestly, it wouldn't be a bad gig if you tend to be a bit introverted like myself... certainly wouldn't have to deal with the run-of-the-mill-A-hole... only hard-core overlanders and people running from the law. Interesting no matter how you slice it!
We are in Buenos Aires Argentina since 4 years and enjoy it...Great lakes on North.. Jaramillo national park (Petrified trees)... Have a safe time .
We're headed that direction. Probably going to wait until after summer vacation when things calm down a bit!! 👍
The smile on Rose's face says it all on how much you both liked Ruta 41
That is an amazing road, and very few people in the overlanding /ADV communities know about it.
Ruta 41 🤩 What a scenic ride. Thanks for sharing this road, which found its way now in my planning map 💙💛🏁🤛🏼
Awesome!! You certainly won't be disappointed... 💪
Incredible landscape, thanks for sharing.
One of my favorite roads in all of Patagonia!!! 🖤🖤🖤
I like this route. Cheers to the map that that whose model the mysterious old man 🥸 moving around happily! . . . . So cute😍!
It's an amazing road that not many know of. And yeah, those maps were a bit cheesy. Effective, but cheesy... 😅
@@TwoWheelsThreeSheets Hmm, not too bad! I'm enjoying watching them all!

A road that bypasses Ruta-40??
@@TwoWheelsThreeSheets yes sir was built in 2019 I think.
Looking at the images I see RP-39 that leads from the lake to R-40, and RP-37 running Northwest from the park, but nothing that connects them... 🤔
I also see an unnamed road that runs north along Rio Late, but it seems to disappear in the trees...
