Betty June Binnicker was my grandfathers sister at the time my grandfather was off fighting in world war 2 and wasn't able to return home for the funeral. My grandfather and family in general was devastated by this murder, to only half to relive this pain in there later years, from the 80's to this day, im 42 years old and growing up with this family tragedy is weird for me, so has also made me question my grandparents about this case, growing up, my grandmother was alot more talkative then my grandfather, due to extreme emotional loss of his baby sister, it was just something he didn't feel comfortable talking about, along with war stories also. I'm sure this whole case is hard for everyones, family thats involved, the justice system definitely dropped the ball, as far as taking statements and documenting and keeping evidence. And as far as my family taking bribe money for silence, never happened, grew up poor and in church, again just a tragedy for everyone involved.

It truely sad that her and her friend was kill and robbed of their life, but the system failed to bring justice to them and find the real killer.
While they sentenced poor George to death for a crime that, he may not even commit and executed an innocent person. For someone else’s crime, who likely got away with it.

George Burke, Jr. is the person who killed your grandfather's sister and Mary Emma Thames. He confessed on his deathbed in 1947, three years after the murders. Burke, Jr. was 29 years-old at the time of his death.
According to Burke, Jr.'s son, George Wayne Burke (known as Wayne), his grandmother told him that on the day that the two girls went missing, they first stopped at the Burkes' home and asked the grandmother if she wanted to go look for maypops with them (maypop is a fruit; not a flower). She declined because Wayne was napping. (Wayne was six years-old then.) While the girls were still at the Burkes' home, George Burke, Jr. showed up in his work truck and offered the girls a ride. He put their bikes on the back of his truck and they drove off. He dropped the girls off and they encountered George Stinney, Jr. and his little sister, Aimee, grazing their cow. The girls asked about the maypops and went on their way. Aimee said she saw the truck as she, George and the cow walked on. Aimee also said she was with George the rest of the day/night until the family went to bed for the night. So, when did he have time to kill the girls?
I believe that George Burke, Jr. dropped the girls off and doubled-back. He killed those girls and probably even sexually assaulted one of both or them. The girls' bodies were found on the Burke's property.
George Stinney, Jr. and his father, George Stinney, Sr. did join in on the search for the girls. George did not lead anyone to the girls' bodies. That is just ONE of the lies that those evil White people in that town told in order to clear their consciences of the lowdown BS they did to George Stinney, Jr. and his family.
George Burke, Jr. confessed on his deathbed three years later and those evil White people in that town held on to that secret and let the world think that an innocent, skinny Black boy killed two little girls all by himself.
      God has the final say.

WOW! Is this your first glimpse at American racists? You are in for quite an awekening if you continue to research. It isn't just against African Americans though. There are many races that have been discriminated against, enslaved, and murdered. The experiences of some have been worse and lasted longer. There was a time when it was laid like a deceptive, venemous viper in the cold. Hidden just under the surface appearing to be asleep and seemingly harmless which makes it more deceptively dangerous because people become lax concerning the danger. They forget that the slightest stirring will wake up something that can cause death. That is what is happening in our world now. Racism isn't just American it is universal. What I am going to say is not conspiracy theory it is truth. Racism did not just happen. It is a thought out, calculated, planned evil that those that want all power and control must have. They have known for ages that they can never fully control a united people so the fires of racism are constantly stirred. Instead of opening our eyes we drink the Kool Aid and fight one another instead of coming together and fighting the real issues. Sorry for my rant. I don't understand the dislikes. The man was a teenager then and he is telling the story how he was told about it. I see nothing wrong with that. And he is always saing "I was told so...," "It was indicated then..." So he is not presenting his version like one and only truth.
Besides, his telling has one interesting moment. In the old newspapers articles it was written that the boy killed the girls with a railroad spike. Modern researchers were pointing out that this is in conflict with autopsy report where it was stated that the murder weapon was circular (railroad spike is rectangular). From this it seems that the alleged weapon was a railroad pin, which was circular and it's head more resembled the hammer head the autopsy report indicated. So thanks to this man memory, we may have a better idea what was probably found or indicated as a murder weapon, even if it was later wrongly described in written reports.
