Wonderful talk. JzkAllah khair
Beautiful ref to shah waliullah dehlvi and his categories.
Inwhich females are intertwined, relevantly surface in all categories mentioned
Feeling marginalised is a default setting in our society. It's normlised frequently
until we learn from the Qur'an and sunnah, and then there's a bit of a shake-up.
Alhamdulillah mindsets are changing. The onus is in the women themselves to become educated against the bias, and Alhamdulillah support from scholars is forthcoming Now.
@24 mins ref to surah shams .(S91)
@24.25 ref to 91:7-10
Core focus on spiritual aspect of the self, the soul
@25.29 ref to surah 92, Layl
Ayah1-4
Deep 26.40
In surah shams inner aspects being the same, genders of nafs are not specified.
We both have equal opportinity to do good or bad. (At intentional and spiritual level)
Showing off, taqwa , inner diseases, inner impulses all the same in humans. No split between genders.
In surah duha (still similar theme and similar oaths)
Outward actions are diverse, so in surah Duha, both genders are mentioned. Biologically we are different, so that too is mentioned (as and when needed and appropriate).
Complimentary nature and roles, to support and enhance each others growth towards goodness
@23 mins: depth of meaning re being awliya to each other. No gender divide im internak state of the hearts. In taqwa and nifaq. Both genders have equal ability to be either good or bad. And can support each other equally in goodbess or badness.
Contrasted with 9:71 of believing men and women - their actions - deserving of Mercy.
@28.15 mins
Differences in gender are highlight in:
Fiqh matters/rulings.
In functionality basis
NOT on account of differences on virtue capability
First obvious known difference highlighted with
4:34 men 'qawwamun' over women
(Sore issue)😊
***@30:10
Root letters ر ج ل refers to a person who has quality of "rajoola" = a quality tht can be held by male or female, the spiritual or internal quality, virtie can be held by both genders.
So broader way at looking at word Rijal is not exclusively as a physical male being
(Importance of knowing Arabic, not relying on translations)
@31.mins from same root word rijl = foot
Rijal = fiit
@21 mins of talk
First time females mentioned in negative light is in the 10th juz.
Up to now it was general and good references to females
9:67 mentions male and female hypocrites-minafiqon wa munafiqat
