How will the RTO officers know if the vehicle from other state is staying for less than 12 months or more than 12 months??? How to prove that vehicle is in the state for less than 12 months? Lets say if i live in a border area and frequently travel in both state then in that case what are the rules?

@@mvikailash Yes Sir, but what to show to the rto officer to prove that you were less than 12 months in that state. There is no clearcut guideline on this. In some states, rto just harrass people if the vehicles is from other state. I have shown tolls reciepts but still paid 500 rs in fine if you know what i mean😊.

2. Model is discontinued, so the other company model with same cc which you will refer will be the cheapest one or the average one, which range car you will consider, it will be base model which you will consider?

Thanks for the information sir. I had a few questions.
1. Taking your example, the owner of this Swift VDI vehicle would have paid a tax for 15 years in the state where the vehicle was originally registered, now due to change in circumstances he has to get his vehicle registered again in another state and pay tax on it again for the remainder of the validity of the RC. So is there a way to get the money back which he paid as road tax the first time he got his vehicle registered?
2. Is there a limit on the depreciation on the road tax (i.e., the rebate) depending on the age of the vehicle?
3. Is re-registration of BSIII vehicles in another state banned all across India?
1. RTO tax is state matter every state has their own taxation act some state may refund and some not so please confirm to concern RTO for refund
2.subject to maximum 80%
3.Once registered you may assign in other state
Remaining Tax amount should be refund.
