The electric MegaWatt eventually running a 6.6s pass in this run on the unprepared strip.

The Hayabusa turbo car runs an autoshift system when you hold the up paddle up (it will upshift/flatshift at the pre-programmed RPM for you). However, it had an intermittent/loose connection on the paddle so the vibration triggered this constantly which meant the system thought it was asking for multiple gears at once - hence the multiple short-shift.
Annoying, and now fixed, but either way it wouldn't have got to the 6.6s the electric car did!

Then again it was quite predictable the EV would Win anyway.
