Somehow, and I don't understand it, anger is the one emotion I have the hardest time holding back b/c it catches me in its grip & I spin out of control) As for love, longing, sadness, & even happiness are emotions I've never had trouble hiding, but I guess you can thank my birth father for that gem. Being raised by an abusive alcoholic who hit, screamed, & even told you that you were not his kid along w/how much he hated you just teaches you to shove those feelings down deep where nobody can see them. At least that way, nobody can see how much it hurts or manage to dash what little happiness you let escape only to be told you're trash and not worthy of being proud of doing anything... That's just my take on things - It's not like an a few-hundred year-old vampire w/trust issues. I'm just a woman who grew up from childhood with trust issues that despite the change in fate, never quite got a handle on showing the emotions I feel b/c somewhere down deep I still fear having someone closest to me do their best to make me feel like shit & I'll be damned if they see it or have any way to read it on my face or in my body language. It just never went away. I call it self-preservation but I'm sure others have another series of words for it...
Gosh! I love this video. It's just so sad, when I look into Damon's eyes, it's just so full of sadness. Torn between his love for Elena and his love for his brother Stefan and for it he's suffering. It really hurts the most.
It’s now 2018 & I really miss these two! I’ve never found anyone else that matches up to the chemistry that these two characters portrayed as “Damon & Elena!” It was truly “ Magical!”
