I always straighten my hair. I've taken about a 7 month break from straightening and keeping it in a braid to get healthy, but not yet have I worn my curls out and about. If I removed excess water and spray a generous amount of this refresh spray instead before doing the LCO or LCGO method, do you think that will work? I'm trying to find other ways to use up my refresher sprays since I refresh with watered-down leave-in and gel instead.
I just want you to know, your hair is absolutely gorgeous!! Your hair is somewhat close to mine but not too much. My hair is really weird like overall it’s like 2C-3A with some 2B. Then the small parts near my ears when I curl them they look like 3B-3C. Overall it’s a mixture of random stuff. One question though, if I cut my hair shorter (I’m around waist length) will my curls spring up and get curlier? I’ve grown up always getting my hair done at home with rollers and then sitting under the dryer. Blow dryers were somewhat more frequent when I was younger and flat irons were scattered around for like holidays and occasions. My mom constantly tells me I have straight hair even though I obviously don’t so I don’t have good products catered towards wavy curly hair.
Hey, I know your comment is a year old, but if you haven't done a big chop yet, taking off length will definitely help your curls spring up a bit. The weight can definitely stretch out your curls while your hair is drying, causing your curl pattern to look a bit looser. But don't expect to suddenly have 3b curls everywhere. Your curl pattern is determined by the shape of your hair follicles, which can vary is shape all around the head, so the extra weight is only part of the equation. The health and strength of your hair also plays a role in how defined your curls can look.
I understand this is an Ulta products line review but an and very affordable curl refresher spray is Cantu's. Be warned, it streams out. But... It. Works. So. Well
Water is what I use. Nothing else. I can go 4 or 5 days just refreshing with water in a spray bottle and my curls bounce back no problem. Super easy and cheap!
I use water and a little tiny bit of my ouidad conditioner. I was using a different conditioner line before and it did make my curls look worse. You just need to find one that works for you. I will be trying one of these I think!
I like to use the suave coconuts conditioner or even the Alberto v05 kiwi conditioner from the dollar store. Both are curly girl approved and when I massage it in my scalp, I really feel clean. Then I go in with a thicker conditioner like maui moisture and my leave in, which right now is alikay lemongrass.....smells so good. Also like AG fast food leave in.

@@darhendricks that used to be me! Maybe it depends on hair porosity but try a mousse to style after the shower! It works wonders for me because it keeps my curl definition
TGIN contains bis-pca dimethicone sulfosuccinate which I think is a silicone. The DevaCurl and Curlsmith have waxes and oils. The Wella has alcohol denat. The Ouidad and Naturalicious are silicone free and CG-approved.
3b hair is curly not wavy.. her hair is probably a 3a. 3a curls are less curly then 3b hair and yet it’s still curly-not wavy. So unless you meant 2b hair, 3b is NOT “wavy hair”

My budget is tight so I use cantu refresher. Great of thin hair. I spray in hands & apply with prayer hands every morning

Don’t use cantu products in ur hair. It has rubbing alcohol in it that will dry out ur hair and cause frizz.

I use water and aloe Vera gel (about 10-20%) in a spray bottle, it works wonders. Do give it a shot if your hair is curly.
