These are great tips, I always wondered how professionals applied the polish so perfectly. My manicure turned out great, the best I've ever done...THANKS!!
I always tell my clients to use the three stripe rule too! (: Another trick is to put vaseline around your nail before you apply any nail polish and when you're done, use a q-tip to remove it.. it's better for your skin. Rather than the nail polish remover
Finally! A video I can actually understand! Thank you so much!!!!!!!! Most videos on how to make a good mani are a bit confusing but you've helped so much!
You left out the part about letting everything dry completely before moving on to the next step. I know it sounds like common sense for most people, but if they need such a beginner tutorial then they would probably need to know that.
Ummm. Don't you think everyone would already know that? Plus I believe she already said that in that in the vid and if she didn't she would assume people would know that.
I've had pedicures and manicures before and the nail tech never lets each step dry before moving to the next step. And my pedicures and manicures always turn out nice. I think the main thing is to let your nails dry for about a good 20 minutes after they are done completely.
Does anyone have experience of "peeling' their nails? Because I always tell myself not to but I end up doing them, it always makes my nails uneven and short. It's a bad habit I know but any advice on avoiding them?
Thank you so much! I'm in cosmetology school and have always struggled to get a clean looking polish. My teacher tried to explain the method you used to me but it just didn't click. Seeing it visually helped so much!
Hey Sandi! I really hope that you can help me with this problem: I sometimes apply only 2 coats of nailpolish onto my nails. Those layers aren't very thick and still I get those tiny bubbles on my nails! I sometimes watch you apply more than 3 layers and yet nothing happens. How do you do that? Is it magic?
I'm so impatient when it comes to painting my nails, I use the julep quick dry drops but it doesn't even work, I still have to end up waiting a long time for my nails to completely dry
that means that you put on toooooo much polish so how to make it stop is use next to no polish and do 2-3 coats of it and that should stop it i used to have the same problem
Shaking your polish too much can create air bubbles in the polish. Try gently rolling it like she showed in the video. Also, apply thin coats:) Hope that helps:)
Regina DelaPaz Also it's because of the humidity if your standing in front of a fan you might think that it helps dry your nails but all it does is make your polish bubble :p
use seche vite top coat. that shit changed my life. because of it I stayed collecting polish and gave up on gel manicures. my nails are always on point
i used to have this problem dont mask it with a fast dry top coat, instead do very thin layers of polish so each one can dry and it builds opacity instead of doing two thick layers. i spend a lot of time doing my manicures twice a week and i sont like starting over because it slid off when I grabbed something
Maybe I just suck painting my nails and everybody's nails not even my daughter's nails come out good! I totally suck painting nails😭😭😭😭.....but I am good doing acrylics 😊😊😊
I have a question: Which nail shape (square or round) makes your nails LOOK longer? Which color makes your nails look longer, dark or light colors? :)))
All that takes is lots of practice, i paint my nails like 3 times a week while keeping them healthy and i do wach perfectly because i practice allt there isnt really a perfect tecnique.
I wanna tell you cute polish you helped me from having to use glue and still doing horrible to now doing designs and everything without even using nail polish remover at all thank you soooo much.😍😅😎💅🏼
Thank you you just taught me how to do it like a pro. I have never been able to paint good til now! First try after your video and bam came out so clean!
You make it seem so easy. Majority of us don't have nails like you. Mine are really curved and there isn't a nail polish brush that can get polish to the edge of my nails without touching my skin. "Just apply it carefully!" seriously. -_-
how long does it take for ur nail polish to dry... i always find my nails getting messed up not for the painting but because they dont full dry and cause holes and stuff 😕
i had a problem where i painted my nails, they were fully dry and i touched something after and boom i messed it up. i painted then the tip of the nails too and they are good now :)
omg this video helped me soo much everything you just taught me i was doing the opposite and my manicure was turning out horrible, but now i do it your way they turn out amazing thanks sooo much!!!
it might be because you shake your nail polish bottle before applying it. To prevent bubbles, you should be rolling the bottle in between your hands instead
Diet Twist when you bite your nails it's not a clean cut like when you cut them properly. It looks gross and i bite mine right down until they're sore, then i bite the skin.
If the coats are too thick or if you put a second coat on before the first one is completely dried it smudges. Try waiting at least 30-45 minutes before putting a second coat on and make the coats thinner. That's what I do.
It sounds like its a problem with your topcoat, I use Essie's Good To Go and my nails dry really quickly. I rarely wait long amounts of time between coats since I use a fast drying top coat, probably only like 5 minutes and it seems to work fine :)
I try to remember what happens in this video while painting my mom's nails. She likes when I do her nails, so... and, thanks for the help! I found out about your channel in around 6th grade :)
i thought i knew how to paint nails but the tips you give make so much more sense. and i suck at doing nail polish with my left hand so this was rlly helpful
Great tips. I've been skipping alot of product steps that could help me out. Especially, the cuticle oil. I always push my cuticles back but never moisturize them. I'm sure that cuticle oil would solve my issue with hang nails. Thanks for the tips.
Wow..This helped 100% and my nails look as if they were done at a salon (as you said)! what helped the most was the tip at 1:14! That was a super helpful tip!
I'm so bad at painting my nails, when I do it its all bumpy! This helped me a lot! Especially because my school didn't allow nail polish and I could never wear it. So I'm trying to learn as much as I can before school starts again. I listen to this sometimes when I'm painting my nails and I'm more happy about them because I got out of the habit of biting them. Yay!!!
This was a very helpful tutorial, Sandi! I definitely need to use the thinner trick on a few of my older bottles of polish! xoxo
Can you tell me how to find it thinner
Yareli Anaya no not at all I'm sorry about that I made confusion

ikr
Where can you get nail polish thinner stuff? Definitely gonna use these tips, thanks!🌺
Ummm u can just go to Amazon.com and search up "nail polish thinner"
I always tell my clients to use the three stripe rule too! (:
Another trick is to put vaseline around your nail before you apply any nail polish and when you're done, use a q-tip to remove it.. it's better for your skin. Rather than the nail polish remover
does anyone else thinks she sounds like barbie ?

Yeah🤩

It happens to me all the time
Try using Flexiglaze Nail Strengthener! It instantly stops peeling nails! head over to my channel to see a tutorial
I had! I don't know if this will work for you, but I just paint my nails so I won't have an urge to peel it off. Hope this helps! 😊
It happens to me 😥😥
@@ijajadada can u please give me your used and dry nail polish?
Why I cant do it this neatly like you? :( I always mess up so much...
Can you make a video on how to grow your nails? I always try to grow mine but they end up breaking at a certain point :(
Thank you so much! I'm in cosmetology school and have always struggled to get a clean looking polish. My teacher tried to explain the method you used to me but it just didn't click. Seeing it visually helped so much!
this is perfect!! as a girl who is growing her nails and is TERIBLE at painting nails, these are great tips!!
I needed this!! Thank you (:
No problem 😘

u make it look so easy xD!!
My nail polish never seems to dry. It always goes squishy? D:
You need to put a clear top coat on
Olivia Loves Owls
I do and the same thing happens :(
Maybe you need a better brand / quality nail polish, just keep searching and you should find one :)
Which topcoat are you using? Also, make sure you wait a few minutes in between coats so they can dry a bit and also don't make your layers too thick.
that means that you put on toooooo much polish so how to make it stop is use next to no polish and do 2-3 coats of it and that should stop it i used to have the same problem
I have a question. Hopefully u can answer❤️ My top coats always leave bubbles. How come yours doesn't ? Is it a specific brand ?
Shaking your polish too much can create air bubbles in the polish. Try gently rolling it like she showed in the video. Also, apply thin coats:) Hope that helps:)
brendahu10 wow, I don't know that either, thanks
Regina DelaPaz Also it's because of the humidity if your standing in front of a fan you might think that it helps dry your nails but all it does is make your polish bubble :p
Both of you thank you so much I've always wondered.
Somebody tell me: why is watching people paint their nails more satisfying than when I do it myself?
You are very encouraging. You always inspire people to be themselves and accept their uniqueness. Keep up the awesome nail art!! :)
Amazing vids and please can you make s'mores nails +Cutepolish
My nails NEVER dry no matter how long I wait. I've waited an hour for it to dry one and it still wasn't fully dry.
use seche vite top coat. that shit changed my life. because of it I stayed collecting polish and gave up on gel manicures. my nails are always on point
OmG I am the same 2 days ago I painted my nails and I waited for 45 min and they never dried I just got all mad and removed the polish!
i used to have this problem dont mask it with a fast dry top coat, instead do very thin layers of polish so each one can dry and it builds opacity instead of doing two thick layers. i spend a lot of time doing my manicures twice a week and i sont like starting over because it slid off when I grabbed something

what are you using for nail polish
I have a question:
Which nail shape (square or round) makes your nails LOOK longer?
Which color makes your nails look longer, dark or light colors?
:)))
The paint brush tip is a game changer. Thank you! 🙌🏽
I just painted my nails all by myself for the first time in my life! I feel so good! 💙💙💙
I should have watched this video before I tried painting my nails😂
Wow! This really works!
Am I the only one who just watches this for fun? Like seriously I'm probably not going to do this!
Neither am i

Sooo pretty!....OPI is definitely my favourite nail polish!
Wow, that was SO HELPFUL!!!! I wish I could give it TWO thumbs up! Awesome!
Can you PLEASE PLEASE do a " how to paint your nails perfectly with the wrong hand" video?
All that takes is lots of practice, i paint my nails like 3 times a week while keeping them healthy and i do wach perfectly because i practice allt there isnt really a perfect tecnique.
She talked about it in this video so what would be the point?
I am so nail challenge :( This is certainly helpful! :)
i found an easier way!!! Paint your nails... then take a shower. any extra polish on ur skin gone
that's what I do 😂
thats what i do too 😂
I do that too 😂😂
I just wash my hands lol
+prince teddi - That's what I do, too. Lol!
I don't have arthritis but My hands start shivering when I apply nailpolish 💅
I wanna tell you cute polish you helped me from having to use glue and still doing horrible to now doing designs and everything without even using nail polish remover at all thank you soooo much.😍😅😎💅🏼
Can you PLEASE do a video on HOW TO STAY PATIENT WHILE YOUR NAILS ARE DRYING? PRETTY PWEASE 😢
She did
oh
You can just buy a fast drying top coat or fast dry sprays
My favorite part of being ambidextrous is doing nail art perfectly on both sides 😂😂
she makes it look soooo easy
This is the best nail painting tutorial for beginers ever!
Every girl's dream! painting their nails perfectly and thank you for this helpful video.

Sassy Banana they're not a boyband though..
what would you say they are?
Sassy Banana they play instruments
Thank you you just taught me how to do it like a pro. I have never been able to paint good til now! First try after your video and bam came out so clean!
omg i just did my own nails with this method and it works so well :) normally i can not do my own and have to go get them done so i am so happy !!!!
You make it seem so easy. Majority of us don't have nails like you. Mine are really curved and there isn't a nail polish brush that can get polish to the edge of my nails without touching my skin. "Just apply it carefully!" seriously. -_-
If your nail polish is really thick and sticky, you can also apply nail polish remover to the nail polish :)
Yea I don't buy thinner, My nail polish remover IS my thinner X3
I used to do that too, but then it really dries your polish after a few days, so it's best not to do it.
Xoxo,
Rani 😋
Oh, mine stays nice, though.
I've seen things that have said that that's really bad for your nailpolish
I've been using this technique for years and honestly, it does nothing.
your nails are so perfect! How do I get them to not smudge??
Go from ur little finger and leave them for ages to dry and use a top coat x
She makes it look so easy!
Your nails are amazing. Mine do not grow very quickly, but the pinky and ring finger seem to grow fastest. These were great tips!
Can you use cuticle cream or does it have to be oil?
Probably. Just make sure your nails are 100% dry, because it may be easier to smear the polish when rubbing it in
Jazzipersun
💅it looks like this emoji💅💅💅💅
It's supposed to lol
how long does it take for ur nail polish to dry... i always find my nails getting messed up not for the painting but because they dont full dry and cause holes and stuff 😕
Buy a better nail polish that dries faster!
Andrea Stephens aint nobody got time for that
always use a fast drying top coat like seche vite. #gamechanger
i had a problem where i painted my nails, they were fully dry and i touched something after and boom i messed it up. i painted then the tip of the nails too and they are good now :)
What about wrapping the tips?? It makes all the difference. Looks cooler too!
It takes practice, when I started becoming a nail polish fanatic I was really bad but after awhile I was a master nail polish painter
hey Sandi!! I am in love with ur tutorials! ur the best nail artist EVER!love u forever❤️❤️😘😘😘💅🏻
So nice 💗
Honestly this brush-polish remover-one stroke-wiping seems to be witchcraft. I can not imagine that this works at all
if you DON'T have a thinner, you can use A LITTLE BIT of nailpolish remover
Those non dominant tips were really great! Thank u! xx
omg this video helped me soo much everything you just taught me i was doing the opposite and my manicure was turning out horrible, but now i do it your way they turn out amazing thanks sooo much!!!
+cutepolish can you make a Video on how to paint short nails?
You just paint them normally. Do you really think she will cut all her nails off after growing them out! Anyways hope you have(had) a great day!😀
I paint my nails better with my non dominant hand -- I'm still confused how
caroline,
Me too
caroline me too haha
I'm more careful while using my non-dominant hand... maybe that's why
caroline Happens with me too...I can cut my nails properly with my non-dominant hand instead of my dominant one...
Then you are truly gifted 😃
I do everything you say, but keep getting bubbles on the top when after it has dried
it might be because you shake your nail polish bottle before applying it. To prevent bubbles, you should be rolling the bottle in between your hands instead
The base coat must not of dried properly before applying the varnish
Jackie Stallworth those are air bubbles. to get then out, sort of lift and heavily set down your bottle to shake out the air
Thank you for keeping it short and simple!!
I've watched this video several times and it's very helpful!
my nails are too short to paint because i bite them
Mine to
Katie Mitchell same, I just can't fuckeng stop :D
I clip my nails short and still paint them, am I doing something wrong?
Diet Twist when you bite your nails it's not a clean cut like when you cut them properly. It looks gross and i bite mine right down until they're sore, then i bite the skin.
Katie Mitchell holy shit STAHHHP
Thank you! Now how do I last 30 seconds without destroying them?
How do you prevent nails from smudging? They'll be dry, but If I go to sleep, I'll wake up with smudge prints on my nails. It's so frustrating.
If the coats are too thick or if you put a second coat on before the first one is completely dried it smudges. Try waiting at least 30-45 minutes before putting a second coat on and make the coats thinner. That's what I do.
Cute polish has a video on how not to smurgde your nails.. its very helpful, just try to search for the video
yeah, mine too. Its so annoying
Wow, you wait 30-45 minutes in between coats? :O Do you end up using a top coat?
It sounds like its a problem with your topcoat, I use Essie's Good To Go and my nails dry really quickly. I rarely wait long amounts of time between coats since I use a fast drying top coat, probably only like 5 minutes and it seems to work fine :)
I try to remember what happens in this video while painting my mom's nails. She likes when I do her nails, so... and, thanks for the help! I found out about your channel in around 6th grade :)
i thought i knew how to paint nails but the tips you give make so much more sense. and i suck at doing nail polish with my left hand so this was rlly helpful
Can I use something else instead of base coat? Like transparent polish ?? :/
Ikram Hamizi A great tip, is to use NAIL HARDENER, it's clear and puts strength into your nails. Hope this helps. ^__^
Ikram Hamizi Sawako is looking so cute in your DP
TheOneAndOnly hehe i know right ^^
Luv nail art, even tho I'm not good at it yet practice makes perfect!!
i dont think so the reason why i think u cant is because the base coat protects ur nails from staining
I think she dose the nails more better than in the salon
*does
U applied your second coat seconds after the first... arent u supposed to wait a few minutes before doing it?
She edited it :)
OHH!!! I can't wait! I'm going to try this! hopefully it works!!
Great tips. I've been skipping alot of product steps that could help me out. Especially, the cuticle oil. I always push my cuticles back but never moisturize them. I'm sure that cuticle oil would solve my issue with hang nails. Thanks for the tips.
