Made for the handful of composers who get actually trailer and scoring gigs. Purchased by zillions of hobbyists who will never get there. I don't know... I think I've heard enough of this type of sound design and it's overpriced. UPDATE on 11/12/2023... But I bought it anyway, as I always do because I'm a sucker. Happily surprised that it's actually better than expected and I suspect it will get quite a bit of use. As for me personally having enough of this sort of sound design, well, there's more to it than I originally thought and it's pretty flexible. And, yes, I'm one of that zillions of hobbyists I was talking about. There's NO money in production music for most of us now. Everything is streaming now (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc.) and there are no real royalties there.
Your first post was the correct one. Sure, ur right about budgets, finding work. But these tools are just a tool. If you don't have the mind and aptitude for it, the vision and focus, nothing will get u work. I score a lot, i never soundscape coz it's garbage, and an average show will have sound design. I leave that to the kids who only drink natural wine and craft beer. I get work because i don't do what ebery one else does. I make my own samples, i play instruments and moreover i totally dedicate myself to a project, and i never ever do the same thing twice. Pop music is the same as sound design. I just het sick of 'that sound'.
Heavyocity does absolute high quality stuff, as always. Would be an instant buy if the would ask for USD 199 (Gravity 1 crossgrade) only exkl. taxes...atm too pricey
What a beast!! Some big improvement as the Designer with myriad of possibilities, the automting movement sphere for each sounds, i just discovering but it some heavy piece!!
@@jaydee-j6d You got me interested now: please enlighten me naming 2 or 3 libraries that deserve to be named scoring tool in your opinion? Just asking from one composer to another
Seems like nearly everyone doesn’t understand that Gravity 2 is a sequel to Gravity. “I bought Spider-Man 1, why don’t I get Spider-Man 2 for free? Seems like loyalty means nothing these days.” It’s a different product, getting a cross grade discount is a bonus.
thank you, but.. just for the tip... pls make the narrator's volume 20-30% less than the library sound so us buyers immersed ourselves to its sounds. more power to heaviocity! goodluck guys
How come when I’m listening to sources they sound different after I drop them in ? I keep liking sounds and then can’t get it to sound like the original no matter what I do
"scoring", "composition" - and any out of the box "music making" that you want. I mean, in the end music is art and you define what music you make. But if you do, the tonal section reminds me of sounds used in trance, progressive & ambient. Other sounds I hear can be used in drum & bass for example.
I agree, these sounds are very high quality. But I must say, for the price, compared to something like Omnisphere, which I still feel like I've barely scratched the surface of after 5 years of owning, this feels a little light to me. Maybe I need to further explore all the various presets, but it doesn't seem as endless as I would hope for nearly half a grand. And while the rhythmic pedals are a nice addition, they feel a bit stale to me...like, every one is a "TikTikTikTik" level of staccato, very little groove or complexity to the patterns. Perhaps I'm missing something, but it feels like it does one sort of very metronome-like rhythm very well, which does work for a number of film and TV scores I suppose. Would just love some more variety and subtlety to some of the sequences, personally.
Hi, thanks for writing in. GRAVITY 2 is more of a sequel to Gravity 1, not an upgrade. It's all-new content, an all-new engine, and a new GUI. Hope this helps clarify.
@@Heavyocitymedia "an all-new engine", I''m sorry but you sound like a car sales guy. Good luck, but i don't think you are going to be selling much of these.
@@Heavyocitymedia More than half the comments to this Overview Video are from existing HV Customers/Users complaining about the Price. To quote Johnny Rotten, "Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?"
@@HeavyocitymediaI think you guys missed the mark on loyalty here. Existing owners should get more than a $50 discount. It’s obvious that existing Gravity 1 users are feeling spurned.
No offense, as I enjoy many Heavyocity products, but this video was an EXHAUSTING info dump. Instead of speed talking for nearly 17 straight minutes, could you have maybe taken a breath and hit a few keys for at least a few example patches of each snapshot category as you were explaining them? I don't remember a single thing and I was paying attention the whole time. But some "see and say" might have helped absorb the info (or hear and say in this case). Thanks.
This is a kick in the guts for loyal customers. is it worth paying $299 for a crossgrade. Absolutely not, also given that the sounds are from their mosaic collection but with a bigger interface and a few extra features. Not worth it.
Hi, thanks for writing in. GRAVITY 2 features all new content that was created and produced specifically for this product using a combination of organic sounds, and software and hardware synths using our unique Sound Design approach. There is no overlap in content with any of our other products. Hope this helps clarify. Thanks.
This is a great product, but I wonder why you specialize in horror and frightening scary sounds when the people also want uplifting sounds, and why that is the case

Owning Gravity 1 and every single expansion pack, the crossgrade price of 324$ (including taxes) is a massive bummer.
Yeah, this is overpriced to begin with and this is an introductory price. It's going up $100 at some point.
spot on.
Yep, massive bummer.
Wonderful Alejandro. Heavyocity Kicks. Thanks goes to all, who spent a lot of time and effort for this precious tool.
Entire albums can be created just from this library! Congratulations and Thank you, Heavyocity!
Are you on the payroll?
You mean bad albums for lazy people, or make one and play it me. I'll lol.
Man, I was so excited when this got announced but the price tag is kinda back breaking especially for a non-orchestral library…
You're not missing out on anything. This is definitely skippable. Idk what's going on at Heavyocity but it's like they aren't even trying.
jeez. This was almost like a physics class. I could hardly follow what this guy was even talking about. I think I'll buy it.
Yeah, is there an easy version?
I'm also having trouble to follow along.
When I saw the $299 cross grade price, I immediately decided to stick to and explore Gravity 1 more !
Same dude. Everyone said the same thing. 300 for an “upgrade” is nuts

YES YES YES! The Titanzilla of Scoring tools

It's not a scoring tool, it's for weak sound design. Don't lump your placement ideas with us composers
@@jaydee-j6d where could we listen to one of your "composer" tracks making better sound design?

Can hits be sequenced like the sustain waves ?
Hi! May we ask, are you referring to the Sequencer window? If so, then yes, all of the sources are available to use with the Sequencer window.
Yes. Thanks. It is to make hit sequences with start point modified. Thanks !@@Heavyocitymedia
Other question !: can we use user wav ? thanks.
Hi, unfortunately, no you can not import your own wav files into this instrument. Cheers.
Getting a bit creative there eh.
I clicked thinking it was an astronomy documentary but again ive been watching software program videos 😅

The upgrade price from gravity 1 on this thing is fuckin criminal.
Are the Wav files included separately as an additional folder?
This is overkill, and I LOVE it.

How is this worth a $300 upgrade from Gravity 1?
sounds like Heavocity is going the way of SampleLogic
