This week at the chateau, Terry returns from the UK with a van full stuff not to the families surprise, so its all hands on deck to get it emptied. Among the items are some beautiful pieces of furniture and rolls Up on rolls of stunning quality fabrics to be used for upholstery and curtains in the future.
Terry visited THORNBER & CO, a fantastic Bespoke furniture & fabric warehouse. Among the mass rolls of beautiful fabric Terry managed to get some amazing fabric to work colours and styles for each room in the future, if you need any quality fabric and amazing prices, check out Thornber & Co below,

About us,
We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.

I was just sitting here thinking I cannot admire a family more than I do this family, as well as the other chateau owners in this fabulous circle of owners and friends. The amount of care, energy and love put into the work - the vlogs and the overall sharing of themselves is simply wonderful. I think for many of us we feel a part of this community and are grateful for that. So thank you all!

This community of English Châteaux owners and their families and friends have become almost like family to me; I often spend more time with the exploits of their daily lives than interacting with my own family, mostly due to the fact that they are recording & sharing videos of their lives on a daily to weekly basis while my family only gets together for birthdays, holidays and special occasions .
Terry and his Mum look like they could almost have been twins! Amazing resemblance and personality, and laughter! 😊😊😊😊

Hi Tracy, you are an amazing woman, so resourceful and focused on your vision of the restoration!! Your entire family are hard workers, though my intuition tells me, in your own quiet way, you are the glue which holds them together. This is not to take anything away from the males as they are certainly an important part too. I have said this before, I absolutely love the Yorkshire accents. Yours, Tracy, is especially pleasing to my ear. I offer no offense but if so, please forgive the musings of this old Yank who lived six months in England four decades on.

We love watching your channel from the Isle of Capri. We are restoring a 17th Century villa overlooking the Amalfi coastline. When we watch your videos we are motivated by seeing how hard you all work as a team. You are lucky you live on the mainland and don't have to import things to an island. It is very costly and hard to get the right workmen to do all the restorations.

"What did you do today?" I watched a guy I don't know on another continent fix a window... I mean... we are strange creatures lol. I’d love to see Jonathan harvest his allotment. In a bigger sunnier plot you could do melons, squash, pumpkins etc… Eventually you’ll be able to hire a full time Gardner. Absolutely loove the view of the inside of the room where Terry finished the window!! That will be superb when it's finished and painted. Especially showing the trees outside. One day you will have the leisure time to get a coffee, stand in the room, and just appreciate it.

My only complaint I have is that I spent all day watching the videos when I should have been doing work around my house. When I saw the fabric, I did get nostalgic for my late Mom, she loved decorating and sewing and would have so enjoyed watching your videos. I still have her 65 year old Singer sewing machine. Love your sieve Tracy! We did something similar when we put our pool in. Hardware cloth to sieve rocks out of sand. Works great! I love how down to earth you all are. Make do when you can! And the area is going to be lovely.

It was lovely chatting with you guys in the live chat. You can not know how much strength it gives me to go forward . I lost my career as a clinical counselor and my ability to drive collect due to a brain injury. Not saying this for sympathy. But Patrick Stuart you guys Stephanie Jarvis .You all have lifted me up and gave me strength to fight my way back and possibly have a Chateau of my own and if not just come be a volunteer. I pray over you all.
Why don't you start a counseling program online or just motivational videos on UA-cam? Just do one as a test first.

As soon as my Vestibular Therapist says I can I’ll give it a go. I’ll let you know thank you for the encouragement and confirmation of the direction . I need to go. It means a lot !!! Maybe my husband could film some shorts for me on my progress.

Every time you do a window or a door that is in horrible shape, I am simply amazed that they can be saved and brought back to usable condition. I would have found someone to make new ones or tried to DIY new ones. I guess when you have a Chateau and a great number of windows you are looking for the least expensive option which is always do it yourself. Tracy, everything clean looks good. Ash the little wall turned out great.
