    Thank you SO MUCH for all of the work you've done on this channel, Victoria (and for making it completely free)!!! I just took and passed my CPC examination yesterday and I'm ecstatic! A huge reason that I passed on the first round was because of your videos. They are so practical, engaging, and helpful and I really can't thank you enough! God bless!

    I’ve started watching you 2 years ago while going through my schooling. Your tips and knowledge put me more at ease and helped a lot! I just took the CPC exam via live proctor and PASSED on my first attempt! Definitely going to stay up to date on things and see what other credentials I’m interested in. Take care!

    Thanks For all the videos Victoria. I went through Preppy and completed the course. I immediately followed up with the Externship program back in October. I have still not get set up with any facility to enroll in that which is a bit frustrating. I’m actually now certified and still waiting to take advantage of the externship Preppy offered in my program to help with my job search. Any advice on what I should do would help? Thank you.

    I was homeless at 18. 24 now and trying to get this thing. I always believed that no one would help me with schooling. Just recently I had to quit a job because I was mentally fucked up and they were working me 12 hours a day all night. The only way I could’ve paid for my cal regional program was that the government gave me $5000 when I filed for Edd from having schizophrenia. I pray to gif that I get this done next year in 2025! I know I can do it I just wish I had the help when I was 18z

    I could not find any internships for medical billing and coding, so should I just apply for like a front desk hospital job? I don't have any experience in the medical field. I applied for an intern that requires a certification.

    Hi when you get a chance can you make a video for AHIMA, like RHIA, CCS, CHDA? I’m leaning towards these certifications.

    • @WindingWorldwideOFFICIAL
      @WindingWorldwideOFFICIAL 10 днів тому

      Yes please do. I have both but only because CCS was not typically pushed as a new coder. I wish I had went for it though at first because you won’t be “looking for a job”, the job(s) would then be looking and pursuing you. Plus if working in a hospital the pay is more.😊

    Hi Victoria! I recently discovered your channel, and I’m really interested in starting a career in Medical Coding. While I don’t have any prior experience, I feel a strong pull toward this field. Do you think there are good job opportunities available right now, or is it not the best time to get started?

    Hi. Is SNF considered inpatient or outpatient in terms of coding? Thank you.

    • @ContempoCoding
      @ContempoCoding  2 дні тому

      Stays are generally considered inpatient because the patient is admitted and receives ongoing care. However, if the SNF provides outpatient services (e.g., therapy sessions for non-residents), those would be coded as outpatient. It depends on the type of care being provided.

    Currently I have finished taking a medical billing and coding course online through career step and getting ready to go test. On my career step program, I have been taking the practice exams and getting anywhere between a 76 and 80, just wondering if there's anything I can do to improve the scores. Also I've been trying to find somewhere I could possibly do an internship and having a hard time with that. I plan on moving to the Springfield Missouri area in a few months and really want to get connected there. I already have a job offer at a local pharmacy there because I am a certified pharmacy technician as well. I'm hoping that having both of these will make me pretty indispensable to someone. I really want to get involved in the hospital there if possible. Do you have any suggestions on what could help me further my career?

    Victoria, thank you for your videos. They are interesting and informative! My husband and I recently moved to Western PA and I am looking for a part time job where I get to use my brain. I'm wondering if medical facilities in Pennsylvania use part- time coding professionals. Is it worth pursuing the training? Any insights would be great. Best of luck to you in your future endeavors!!

    I already have an associate's degree, a medical coder certificate, and revenue cycle management certificate all from my local university. I graduated this past April. I also received my RHIT credential this year. My problem is that never took any coder credentialing test and need to figure out a way to study that doesn't cost too much. I work for a health insurance company and I really don't code or use anything I learned in school, so i feel like why i am wasting my time and potential.

    I would like to take over the billing for my wife's therapy practice (behavioral health) and possibly other practices within her network. Should I go for a CPC or is that overkill? Is there another certification I should consider? If you could please point me in the right direction that would be amazing, I can not find any information on google. Thanks for the great videos!

    Where would I be if I was working in person? Would they give me a desk? Would I be close to all of these physician?

    • @ContempoCoding
      @ContempoCoding  5 днів тому +1

      If you were working in person as a medical coder, you'd typically have your own desk or workspace, often in a billing or administrative office. You might not be directly close to the physicians, as coders usually work behind the scenes, focusing on documentation and coding rather than face-to-face interactions. Your role would mainly involve collaborating with providers through documentation or queries when needed.

    I am going to take a CPC course and I am not sure going into medical coding as an indian. Can anyone please clarify is this a good option for furture

    • @ContempoCoding
      @ContempoCoding  8 днів тому

      Taking a CPC course is a solid option, but it’s important to be realistic about the challenges. Many U.S.-based companies outsource to India for cost savings, which often results in lower pay and fewer growth opportunities compared to onshore coders. If you’re considering medical coding, make sure to weigh these factors and research whether it aligns with your long-term career goals.
