You are totally correct. Cardano has not only survived 2 bear markets, 2018 and 2022, but it's remained relevant in the space and been around the top 10 for that entire time. Meanwhile, we can cite tons of other projects that have came and gone that got into the top 10, or close to it, and faded off into oblivion or are barely relevant. A great example from 2021 was Terra Luna, that was doing incredibly well that year and look what happened April of 2022 lol. From 2017 Bcash is one to look at, it peaked at like 3k+ at the end of that bull market and remained in the top 10 for a while but ultimately lagged super hard into 2021. People have been hyping about it a lot lately because it just had it's halving event recently. I think as the space matures and more regulation takes hold a lot of this stuff is going to drop off and become a distant memory.

I will advice you should stop trading on your own if you keep losing.
If you can, then get a professional to trade for you I think that way your assets are more secure.

Unfortunately for those TONcoin holder the liquidity won't allow for much dumpage. One of those wallets will clean out all the liquidity selling only a small portion of those bags. Agree wholeheartedly that this coin is a dangerous investment. Good stuff...was thinking the exact same thing when TONcoin flipped AVAX and then ADA...knew it was too good to be true. Great service to provide notice of holder concentration of TON coin, Fareed. Appreciate the distinction and alert. This highlights the fact that some coins are banking on emotional support versus coins that have a more dry value academic support. This makes the urgency with which Cardano needs to arrive at market use more relevant and important. BTW What is a TDL and What is a DEX?

I love ADA and support it fully but it is depressing nonetheless to see a dog coin and a random social coin top Cardano. Cardano seriously needs some big projects or some action soon. Been in the space for years but am surprised to see ADA where it is.

They have several products coming, and many ongoing. But they its always moves slow until it does not. We are exactly where we were last run, so right where we would expect to be now. Also ADA gets attacked by all the institutions, its not what they want doing well. Because its the most decentralized etc and is anti-government control. It also does not pump itself with fake numbers etc like SOL
Bro, we are still very early in the bull market. Most alts are still well off of their high points of 2021, even ETH is still quite a ways off from it. The halving hasn't even taken place yet, ETFs are pouring money into BTC and in the not too distant future it's very likely the FED will be cutting interests rates. ADA not that long ago was at almost 80 cents, about a 3x from it's bottom price that we saw only 6 months ago back in October and September. This is BTC season right now, not alt season. To put this all into perspective, ETH was "only" around1k even at the beginning of 2021, look what happened to it within just a few months.
@@oglocbaby520 ETH is 27% off all time high ADA still 81% down.... I agree with you I think Cardano will catch up eventually but am surprised ADA is still down this much, would have expected it to be trading above 1$ all things considered. SOL, TON, XRP, DOGE are also all alts outperforming ADA...

Not that it matters but I thought I'd point out ADA is still in top 10 on CMC. The reason it is 11th on CoinGecko is because CG has STETH in the top 10, which is stupid as it's literally representing staked ETH.

It would be interesting to see the percentage of total Ada owned by the top 1000 wallets. If the number of addresses is about 4 million (not sure it is the case - it is what I just found online), then 1k wallets is just ~0.0002% of all wallets. If this percentage of wallets holds about 40% of Ada, which is possible, then 60% of Ada is held by 99.9998% of Ada wallets, which means it is pretty poorly distributed.
I started investing in crypto about 2 weeks ago, and Cardano is my choice number one due to believing in science and what the team are doing, but the distribution of wealth in Cardano worries me a bit.
It should not - but to answer your question, here are the wallet distributions.
FYI - 80% of ADA was sold to the public. That is way more generous that the majority of the current chains.

Cardano was and remains the gold standard of what a cryptocurrency should be. Unfortunately the market is not moved by crypto idealism. The market moves by greed and greed alone. This explains the position of Solana or Doge or now of Ton. People playing money games.

Ton has lots of things cooking and they acknowledge that holder problem. And because of that theyr gonna airdrop 115million to ecosystem users soon.
So this is the problem. Most stuff dropped a few percent . Ada dropped almost 20. It moves down faster and goes up slower.
Compare to what specifically - Cardano is dropping, but so is the entire market, there are definitely weaker coins out there. ADA is not the weakest, but I hear you.
