In August 1967, Fleetwood Mac made its live debut at the Windsor Jazz and Blues Festival in England. Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer made up the group’s lineup at the festival......Fleetwood Mac’s name comes from the last names of the original drummer and bassist: Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. But neither of them suggested that name. Original guitarist and singer Peter Green came up with the name and Fleetwood later said it was an example of Green’s selflessness.
Nobody plays like Lindsey ... not only does he achieve a unique sound by using his fingers instead of a pick, but his tone and ability to enhance the song itself with his playing is undeniable. Try checking out his live version of the song "Big Love" ... it'll blow your mind
The song Tusk is from this same album I think. It's heavy on the drums and features the USC marching band on the studio cut. If you can react to the official video you should. They go to Dodger Stadium (could be the A's park but I'm pretty sure it's LA) and the USC band is in the video.
Stevie is a badass! She wrote about Lindsay treating her like 💩 & he sang along 🤣 This entire album is incredible, reminds me of summer bbq's & get togethers. My friend is an amazing singer, she always performs Gold Dust Woman... that is a must listen! Personal opinion, this is not their best, so imagine what else you have to look forward to! 😉Great reaction!!♥️✌
I’m glad you picked up on how great that guitar is. Lindsay Buckingham is one of the very few guitarists who doesn’t use a pick. That’s all strictly finger picking. Incredible! The only other one I can think of is Mark Knopfler of Dire Straights. Listen to Sultans Of Swing (ALBUM VERSION). You’ll be absolutely blown away.
Great reaction again. As others have stated, this was Lindsey Buckingham's song to Stevie Nick regarding their break up. On the same album is Stevie Nick's song to Lindsey Buckingham ... "Dreams". The Rumors album by Fleetwood Mac is one of the great albums of all time. I think EVERYONE who grew up listening to music has this album. Still, it must have been a hard album to record for the group, as during that time, it was not just Lindsey and Stevie Nicks breaking up, but singer Christine McVie and her husband, bassist John McVie were in the midst of a divorce. Fun fact - one of the producers of the Rumors album was pop singer Colbie Caillat's dad.
Everybody in Fleetwood Mac was musically gifted but absolutely impossible at relationships. Rumours channeled all that talent and emotional mess. Everybody was recording and writing separately and brilliantly. The drug use and promiscuity probably didn’t help.
Next you gotta listen to "silver spring". It was Stevie's song she wrote to get back at Lindsay for writing this song. They are singing these songs at each other.🔥👌🏼
Yes! Make sure you react to the 1997 live version though. You have to get that moment when Stevie turns toward Lindsey. It’s so wonderfully uncomfortably perfect.
I do know that Stevie Nicks was furious when she heard this song, and Lindsey Buckingham had the line in it that she was "shacking up..." It was no secret that it was written about Nicks.
I always like the songs with Lindsay B. singing.. his playing is great. Knowing the history behind the lyrics.. basically singing about the relationships breaking up.
Entire Rumors album is great, my elder sis knows the lyrics to the entire LP...bedroom under mine!! 😂🤣🥳 Lindsey penned this one. Seriously underrated guitar player. Love this group for their talents, diversity and longevity!! Rock on FM!! 🥳❤👍🏽
You have an ear for talent, my friend. I've been playing 35 years, there are guitarists out there that rely on speed and flashiness, and I have my favorites in those categories too. Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac is my favorite 'slow and meaningful' guitar player, every single guitar solo he laid down on a track in those days was gold. From the same era, I consider his solo to the Fleetwood Mac song "You Make Loving Fun" is one of my top 10. The guitar 'speaks', as you stated. Based on what you revealed appeals to you about music, I'm really curious how you'd react to a few older blues guitarists. Do you take requests like on a patreon page or something?
You're so spot on with Buckingham's solo style....Just good creativity, no pedal or whammy bar-in the videos i've seen him in, he didn't use a pick most of the time either!
Yes...you can make all the notes go by fast, but can you make the guitar speak, fit the mood of the song? It's about the song, the band is a unit, a team, come on dude the solo's over hahahah
Guitarist Lindsay Buckingham wrote and sings this song about the breakup from his then girlfriend, Stevie Nicks, singing backup here. Lindsay tells Stevie, 'shacking up is all you want to do' with Stevie on back up vocals, The practice sessions must have been hell.
Great reaction!! Something that might be overlooked, in the grand scheme of things. This song is about Lindsey and Stevie having a relationship and ultimately, she decided to end it. They still performed and recorded a timeless song, for the ages. I think Lindsey left the band, soon after.
@@calvingreen5202 I think it was a combination of breaking up and coke. = magic. Stevie had to stop snorting because of her nose breakdown. So she got the drug in her by a different route. I enjoy wife’s your wives face reacting. You may want to research the different descriptions of music a little deeper. Also no yawning. You must film late.
If you ever have the time there is a 30 minute VH1 Classic Albums documentary for Rumors. It is one of the most fascinating 30 minute look at how a dysfunctional group of artists came together to make this masterpiece of an album. Talk about drama. It's really good and you should check it out. Christine McVie the keyboardist is the silent songwriting weapon in this band. Check out You Make Loving Fun.
Movies end up well important to songs. I can't hear this tune for instance without thinking of Forest Gump cutting about America with a big daft beard. Tune!
I too love the way the drums begin with what in other hands be a rhythm-pattern for a break, bridge, or to highlight a change-up. Mick Fleetwood's roots in laying the foundation for the band when they were one of the UK's top-flight blues bands still inform his creativity and add muscle to the Buckingham/Nicks FM incarnation. Lindsey Buckingham's fingerstyle guitar always concentrates on serving the song, maximizing each note and the emotional honesty at the heart of the tune. Less is more, as the adage goes.
This album was nominated for Album of the Year, but was beaten out by Stevie Wonder. Barely, It was the biggest selling album before Saturday Night Fever and then Michael Jackson;s Thriller.
I'm commenting before I hear your reaction ... for reelz did ya think it was a woman singing the lead ? No cap Now ...And at what point did you and yo pretty woman realize what they was talkin bout ?? I got you, I got you bruh ! The WHOLE album is a breakup medley, go on now BRILLIANT stuff keep it up now 👍🏽
for fun song titles, my fave has got to be "Standing Outside A Broken Phone Booth with Money in My Hand". lol, here is the link! ua-cam.com/video/Wb6Nl_BB6sU/v-deo.html thank you for the awesomeness you guys are!!
My band does a cover of apld Fieetwood Mak song from way back before Lindsey was in this group caled OH WELL you got to check it out and i agree with Mairzerus great player .
🏴 This is an awesome song but you need to try the live version of it from 1997 "Dance Tour" Then you can really appreciate Lyndsey Buckingham's guitar playing.
Written by Lindsey Buckingham during breakup with Stevie Nicks. She wrote her own song "Dreams" of the break-up and has said "Go Your Own Way" and "Dreams" are twin songs, same subject about their feelings at that time.
Don't forget their first radio hit, in 1975 "Over My Head" with their keyboard player Christine McVie on lead vocals. Rock on, and I love your honest reactions.
Have you noticed that all these classic bangers are used in tv commercials lately? Hmmm oh yeah because they are the greats that never, ever get old is why!! Just keep getting better, better!!
One of those songs that the drumming makes the song
If I could, baby I'd give you my world.....great line
Christie Mcvay had them pipes 🎤 too. I love all of their voices 💕
listen to dreams and the chain
One of my favorite FM songs. They are a fantastic rock band and the rabbit hole is deep my friends!

Let's talk about how awesome that bass player is he's killing it
Finally someone who can hear the guitar talking. The most dont understand what i mean.
Yay!! ❤️❤️ Fleetwood Mac!!
The couple who understood the most about músic on UA-cam know everything

Just think, Fleetwood mac wanted just Lindsey and he said we come together or not at all. Now we got Stevie
Fleetwood Mac is one of the best groups from England (or anywhere). Outstanding!
Fleetwood Mac is the best English/American collaboration since the Normandy landing.
The fact that Lindsey Buckingham only came in at number 100 in the Rolling Stone 100 greatest guitarists list was utterly ridiculous
🔥🔥
Try Lindsey Buckingham. .."Big Love" ( Go Insane ) .... just Lindsey his guitar and some great finger work
Do Hear n' Aid "Stars" (the video)
Hall and Oates- Private Eyes, Maneater, Adult Education, Out of Touch
🤘🏻😎
Check out "Trouble" By Lindsey Buckingham!!
Watch the live version 1997 seeing the guitar solo by Lindsey Buckingham is mind blowing its one of the best solos ever
Check out Fleetwood Mac - Gypsy
First song i learned on drums

Jeff Beck also
@@jerrysilverman8113 he finger picks? I didn’t know that.
@@CuttinEJ As far as I know he plays without a pick for the most part

Left and came back. Then they fired him in 2016

The band at my cousin's wedding reception played this , seemed an odd choice.
Such a fantastic classic hit!!!! 🤗❤✌
Do Empire Of The Sun "Way To Go"
(the video)
Back in the day when the *instruments* used to sing to you 🎸🎹🎺🎻🎷

If you do Big "Love", be sure to do a live version!
Do Lit "My Own Worst Enemy"

Second Hand News!
GUITAR SOLO . . . . . Ya want a guitar solo . . . . . MOLLY HATCHET, FLIRTIN' WITH DISASTER . . . . .
If you’ve seen “Vacation” with Chevy Chase-
That’s Lindsey Buckingham singing
“Holiday Road” throughout the film
Nice ears on y'all. Lindsay Buckingham is a DISGUSTING guitarist. Like David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, he is a tasteful, classy and emotive player.
"Do you know what I'm saying?" Well, I'm awake and I speak English, so yeah, I know what you're saying.

All songs in this Fleetwood Mac "ROMURS" CD from 1977 is damn good songs (: (: (: thx for a good reaction 👍
"Songbird" from this album.
Loving the diversity in your reaction choices!
Also you should hear Christie sing. Try everywhere live
The live version is so much better. You can feel the tension between Lindsey and Stevie.
You have to watch the live version, the guitar solo is longer.
When they play there hits live on the Dance album it is fantastic! Great live..just a opinion.
maybe you folks could review johnny winter's "frankenstein'
Edgar Winter
The live Dance 1997 version is amazing and might be one of Lindsay's best solos of this song.
You got to do gypsy by Fleetwood Mac
Best Fleetwood Mac album ever!
Have they reacted to, We Are the World yet ?
👍👍👍👍👍
🐐 🐐 🐐
👋🏻♥️
Fleetwood Mac OR STIVIE NICKS IS ALLWAYS GREAT CHOISE FOR ME THIS IS THE BEST SONG FROM THEM AND FROM STIVIE NICKS EDGE OF EVENTEEN
1997 The Dance live album is awesome especially Silver Springs.
🏴 This is an awesome song but you need to try the live version of it from 1997 "Dance Tour" Then you can really appreciate Lyndsey Buckingham's guitar playing.
Keep hitting Fleetwood Mac...and I'll keep pushing the song "Songbird"! One of my favorites from them.
Written by Lindsey Buckingham during breakup with Stevie Nicks. She wrote her own song "Dreams" of the break-up and has said "Go Your Own Way" and "Dreams" are twin songs, same subject about their feelings at that time.
Love This Classic Track From Fleetwood Mac
Big love, Seven wonders. Stevie Nick - Stand back
Don't forget their first radio hit, in 1975 "Over My Head" with their keyboard player Christine McVie on lead vocals. Rock on, and I love your honest reactions.

Absolutely fell in love with this band; California rock was so cool; awesome memories!
Do try the original Fleetwood Mac one day. No reactor ever does it seems. Green Manalishi or Oh Well for instance.
Tupac - To my unborn child 🔥🔥🔥
One of their best guitar solos is on the title track of a later album called Tango in the Night - Awesome!!!
Lindsay and Stevie sound so good together.
This is my absolute favorite song
The disks on the wall is sensational ,incredible
