Thank you for the update on Sulphur.
Breaks my heart to see such a beautiful old town so tore up. I love visiting Sulphur Oklahoma 💛
You should grab some of the bricks and see what you can build. Make something with the bricks as a piece to remember her store to show Brooks and the generations to come.
Hopefully they've got a restoration crew organizing that? I know when buildings here are damaged (fire, usually), they incorporate some of the bits into the one built in its place.
The front of his mom's store didn't look near as bad as the back. I wonder if it would be possible to save the store fronts and rebuild behind them. That could help save some of the charm of the old town.
GREAT IDEA, DUSTY
I bet Dunbar is wondering where all his ladies are!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️
I'd like to see sweet Eleanor go with Dunbar.. both originals together and in a small herd she will be more confident..
Hi Dusty, Marissa and Brooks Big Joe is just a big kid at heart. He knows who loves him and gives him treats. Great seeing all the Red Dogs. Yall have grown so much since yall started So much to clean up at the park Sulphur is looking better but still a lot of work to do. Praying for yall in Sulphur. God bless and love yall ❤❤
I always enjoy seeing your bisons! As for the town of Sulphur, thanks for the update. My brother's house was destroyed by an EF4 tornado in 2015. It took 1 year and 3 months to rebuild his new home. Sulphur WILL survive but it will never be the same. I'm still 🙏 for a speedy recovery for everyone effected. Thanks again! 👍
I'm so sorry to hear about your brother's devastation, but glad he got through it and was able to rebuild. Blessings to him and his family 🙏💕
Big Joe is so comical. He's always the first to greet you. Like he's your protector.
I was just noticing how much friendlier Big Joe has gotten since they first got him. So nice to see.
Big Joe is so big. I really love seeing him.
It's difficult to understand how powerful even a small tornado is, without seeing it firsthand. My Mom used to live near Tupelo, MS and it was hit by a tornado a decade or more ago and you can Still see the damage to the trees where it came through. It will take all the help the park can get to restore it to former glory. Glad the Bison were spared! Love & Best wishes from Memphis, TN!~
Dusty, Mother Nature has her own plans and they don’t always adhere to what we want. So sorry for everything you all have been through. Will keep my fingers crossed for you. I remember the Joplin MO tornado. Devastating.
If every resident gave one day a week in helping to further the cleanup, it would continue to make a great big difference in the town.
An hour after church or work would help toward community volunteering.
Have you ever lived through something like this? It isn't as easy as you might think. So much of what you're seeing needs to be cleaned up can't be because there is insurance and all kinds of bureaucracy. When the wildfires went through Northern California they left the dirt so badly contaminated that nobody could even try to start to clean up. There is just so much behind the scenes that goes on. Also, we have no idea if all those residents you speak of even have homes. How many are still living in camps or waiting for FEMA trailers to live in? Many of them have probably been forced to leave that town in search of housing because there is no extra housing in Sulfur. Not only that, but so many jobs were lost too. It just isn't that easy. I have watched this play out way too many times in the Wildfires of Northern California. Unfortunately, it will take years before things start to look like an actual town again.
Madam , I don't think that you realize just what people go through after something like this ! Believe me because I have been through a few of these in my 69 years here in Kansas ! Waiting for insurance claims to be done , government assistance , a place to live and a whole lot more that has to be done ! Some people still have jobs to go to ! Then finding construction equipment or companies to come help clean up and a place to take the materials to be disposed ! Please think before making a comment about that you have no idea about how things works after a disaster !
Exactly our little neighbor town of 600 Minden Iowa that was struck on May 26..We lost a neighbor half the homes hit the businesses the water treatment facilities ..are in a holding pattern due to bureaucracy many of the homes hit are inhabitable and those residents have had to find shelter or homes where there is a housing shortages already...so I have heard it takes about 3 years to hit recovery..after living on the Gulf Coast most of my life hurricanes floods and tornadoes are destructive and clean up takes such a long time..prayers for everyone getting through things one day at a time
Ever hear of a town called waverly ,tn august 21 2021 flashflood we are still rebuilding too
Maybe when everyone rebuilds they can do it in the style and materials like the old historic ones were...that would be heartwarming!
They should be salvaging what they can of the old bricks and timber. It could help with the restoration.
@@carolynfrancis-mclucas6185 that sounds like a good idea!
So heartbreaking to see the tornado damage. 😢
Praying for all who have suffered. 😢
Hey Dusty Marissa and Brooks.hope you're all doing good.the Bison look beautiful.your doing such a great job.❤
Dusty, I hope your mom doesn't give up her dream. I do hope that she will reopen her store again some day. It's harder when you get to be our age, but it's doable. 💖🙏💖
Thank you Dusty for the tour around the park area and progress made in downtown 👍🏻
So sad that all, or a lot of the old buildings and history of the town has been destroyed.
It’s so sad to see the aftermath of destruction from the tornadoes but thankful that there wasn’t any lives lost or at least very few, homes and businesses can be rebuilt but the loss of loved ones devastates everyone around a tiny community, prayers still going out to all that were effected ♥️🙏🏻🇨🇦
You have a perfect right to be proud of the Bison ranches. You, Melissa and Kevin have worked hard developing this lovely ranch.
Awesome electric bike! So happy your channel is getting more sponsors! Big Joe is a funny character! We love Eleanor! 👍👏❤😍
All those littles make me happy that they seems to be doing well.
I had an unfortunate accident with my Heybike, being 75, I caught my foot on the pedal and broke my left humorous, just below the left shoulder socket. I was on an adventure 360 miles from home. For us older folks I would recommend a step thru like the HERO.
My local town is Rilling Fork, MS. We were hit with a tornado that took out 85% of the town back in March, 2023. Our town will probably never come back from it. 😢
Thank you so much Dusty, Marisa,Brooks and Big Joe for a wonderful blog God Bless 🙏🤗🙏🤗🙏🤗🙏🤗
Maybe you can see what Jason @ Cog Hill bought for their animals to scratch on. Its a roller of some kind and maybe put a couple in each of your pastures
They were the old brushes off of the street sweepers/ brooms. Can usually pick them up pretty cheap check with construction companies and even city/County garages. Would be figuring out a strong enough post to secure them.

So sorry for the losses your community has suffered!
Thank you Dusty for the update on Sulfur. I have been following videos from you and Daniel, You never get an update from the media, I am so sorry for the lose of your mother's store and the whole town. Very devastating and sad.
Last year when visiting Sulfur, I stopped by your mom's boutique and it was closed, but was able to take a couple pictures of the cute store front. Blows my mind to have been there and now see all the tornado destruction. Wishing the very best for all the residents and business owners.
Big Joe is such a fine specimen. He’s a beautiful animal. I really enjoy getting good glimpses of him.
Thats the BEST is the humbleness gets Renewed!!😊❤
Same happened down here at the Ding Darling Refuge here in Sanibel Fl from Hurricane Ian. Trails are still destroyed. 😊
Wow Thank you for Sharing the Park with us!!! Makes me want to go and visit it and you of course and your precious Bison!!!
Love you your beloved family and Bison!!!
Thank you for the update on your hometown! I haven't seen anyone post anything. Praying for the people from Sulphur, OK.
Histories of towns are evaporating as all towns do. But tornados and floods just crush the soul. We've gone through Sulphur several times when we lived in the DFW area. This is very sad. In my little hometown in SE Missouri we can still go behind newer facades and see the old business signs of our youth. You don't have that anymore. We look forward to Sulphur rebuilding and picking up the pieces. And a mighty fine herd you've got there.
Big Joe has come a very long way from the first time he came to your ranch. I sure live your Bison . It is very nice to see you and your wife working together. And even your lovely daughter. ❤ Thank you for the fantastic videos and up dates. I love Dunbar
Thanks Dusty. God Bless to you and your beautiful girls and furbabies.
Thank you for the update on your town. I continue to pray for everyone effected by that minster tornado. On a happy note, I always love seeing your bison herds. I first fell in love with bison when I was in elementary school. I love all animals, but when I look at a bison, it somehow finds a special place in my heart, I love seeing the relationships that you have with some of your bison and getting to see a bit of their personalities. What can I say, they just make me smile. Sending love and prayers to you and your entire family. Stay safe. Donna Gulyas in Spring Hill, Florida.
My heart aches for the folks of Sulfer. I live in Dexter Mo. and between Sixton, Dexter and Poplar Bluff(who was hit the hardest) we had 3 tornados come through our area. We were blessed with no damage but still have places with no power. God bless you all. Stay safe and keep the faith.
The tornados have been so distructive this year. Thank you for yhe look at the park and Sulfer.
They have been!
Loved this video Dusty and the update. Prayers for you & Marissa, your extended family and Sulphur. Love your positive attitude and the bike you demoed.
Thanks for sharing the update on the town Dusty.
Good morning from a cold winters day in Western Australia but a blue sky day so far.
Hi Dusty, Marissa & Brooks look forward to seeing your next videos.
Love Big Joe he is like a big dog who loves to interact with you glad to see Eleanor is well such a sweet girl.
Hope Sulphur slowly gets back to normal soon but it will be a slow recovery but it has been only 2 months so rebuild & restore hopefully your old historical buildings can be saved which will be a long process
Sending my best wishes to everyone 💕
It is really sad to see the destruction of those old buildings. I live in an area with lots of really old buildings with all sorts of history. I can’t imagine them gone. Lots of prayers for the recovery process and emotional despair…
So sad to see Sulphur like that and agree it'll never be the same! Back in the 70's we in Fillmore Elementary School would take a field trip and walk up a mountain there and I can't remember where it was. Love seeing your beautiful 🦬! Really enjoyed your video!
I'm listening to you saying these are old buildings but in England, where we are blessed with so many medieval buildings, these look like Victorian age. I hope when they rebuild Sulphur that it's done in a nice way, no ugly new buildings allowed 😊
I'm so sorry your family had to go through the storm Hope and prayers for you and the family
nobody can predict the future, just have to take it as it comes.
Know the feeling our downtown Mayfield KY was completely leveled in 12 10 21 we lost courthouse ,post office city hall fire station, everything gone and still recovering. It takes time
One of my friend’s is from Mayfield and her mom still lives there. Her house was not damaged significantly but she had no utilities and she is older. She stayed with her son until my friend went and picked her up and brought her to Texas. Friend was hoping she would move in with them but she wanted to get back to her friends and her church!
So devastating
Thanks for the update on Sulphur. Good to see Big Joe and the herd.
So glad to see big Joe n the heard doing so great. My prayers for you both the family n the rebuild n recovery of Sulphur such a devastating sight to see like someone else suggested maby someone can gather pics of how things use to be old items etc n make a museum for visitors to see the history. Take care God bless
Dusty, thanks for showing the park. This Ada girl has been to the park many times. Love y’all and am sending best wishes ❤
Thank you for sharing this video! You are doing such a fine job raising bison and community work! Thanks
OMG so sad about all that damage. Devastating. The end of the video, your Bison are looking fantastic. Great ebike 😂😂 🙏🙏👍👍💛💛👍👍🙏🙏
Big Joe's head is almost as big as Marisa is tall. I can understand why she gets nervous when he comes up. It's so sad to see all the damage still left. But with time comes change & Sulphur will come back better & stronger. ❤
Dusty, you take the best pictures. Always focusing on the subject matter. How did that bison get in there. Oh yes, the National Park has bison. Glad the native Americans benefit from them.
I am so sorry about your town. Its heartbreaking to see such devastation. You guys have something in common with Alabama. April 27, 2011 62 tornados hit here. The biggest one an, ef4 also, that stayed on the ground for over 200 miles missed my family by 100 yards.
It was the one that hit Tuscaloosa also. Love and prayers for all that have been hit this year by this crazy weather.
Like the hay bike. It’s so sad to loose those old buildings.
Our park in Moss Bluff La was like that. It doesn’t look the same. Sam Houston State Park. After Hurricane Laura
One of my nephews told me about what y'all going through down there
What a shame about the town of Sulfur and the parks trees. I'm glad to see your bison are doing well. May God bless you with what you need. Praise God it was April and not December when this happened.
Thanks Guys
Good luck rebuilding, creating future dreams. Any tornado proof building ideas. Scary
After May 11,1970 downtown Lubbock has never looked the same. I still go down there and have to stop and think where I am. Tornados = disaster in ways you can’t describe unless you’ve lived through it.
Some nice grass there! How many red dogs have you gotten thus far?
One thing you can be sure of and that’s that that forest will come back (wow….3 ‘that’s’ in a row. Smokin!!!)
It’s so sad to see the old historical buildings damaged to the point of losing them.
Just heartbreaking to see what tornadoes do…I lived through several hurricanes as a child when my dad was stationed overseas and down south …..I don’t panic at the thought of those but earthquakes and tornadoes scare me to death.
There was a tornado that touchdown in Lyons, PA about 10 yrs ago and wiped out a lot of that town ….that’s about a 1/2 hour from us .
Luckily for us we live between two mountains so we don’t have to worry too much about tornadoes.
Going through the same thing in Greenfield, ia. 😢
Look at those red dogs grow! And Cora...whew lad, she's a looker!
I don't get to watch every video, but I'm so glad I found your channel, neighbor! I'm over here near Lake Eufaula and really need to get some bison meat. We raise hogs, sheep, dairy goats, rabbits and chickens...but we just don't have the room for a big 'ol red meat producer, so we hunt deer to fill that niche. I love bison, though. Yum.
Thanks for update.
❤ Thankyou for the updated.
Fascinating and amazing to watch the bison. Unreal.
I saw the damaged building where Billy Cook saddles are made. I ride a Billy Cook saddle. I haven't heard anything about how they are doing through my horse connections. I hope all is well for them. 😢
@ 28:00.. " One thing that " Wasn't Mentioned " was Where was " Fulcrum's Bowling Alley " ? ! " The Hub of Fulcrum's Night Life" ? !
The saddest part of the tornado effect is that a lot of businesses won't return. I'm sure a large number of residents will have left as well.
I Know through the grace of God
All of the Good people of Sulphur
Will get together and brainstorm to come up with a plan to rebuild Sulphur with the better and stronger
With the historical architecture in mind!!! I Know your Dearest Mother Will get her store up and running!!
The tourists need your Mom store to be there as well as locals!!!
Thank you so much for Sharing your beautiful park with us!!!
Thank you for Sharing Big Joe with us
The Red Dogs and their Moms and your beautiful sunsets!!!!
I Know times are tough But so are you !! Love all of your family!!!
Thank you for all that you do!!!
Fort Myers@ Sanibel looked like Sulfur too! Very sad!
That is very sad destruction 😢 😮
You need your fly sprayer with you .That would make those 🦬 Bison move along ! 😜
You should get you some brushes from the road department, they make great scratching post for cows big joe would love it.
Lol... I love watching you and your Bison. I've learned so much. But hearing you talk about taking the hay out to them or needing to get more bales, I laughed when I realized you now have a "hay bike". When I saw it was a Hey Bike, I realized that not everything you use is named after or on behalf of Bison! Lol
Hilarious watching Big Joe rock the atv... wife freaking out haha too funny
It is a shame. The destruction that has happened 😢
Any chance you could come up with/a scratching post for Big Joe/other bison?
Love all your videos, and that trip on the hey bike was awesome, but I've got to be honest, i was a little nervous you weren't wearing a helmet.
Be careful.☺️
How many red dogs are there now?
looks like the town is going to have to be leveled and rebuilt if possible.
Dang ! Big Joe is Massive!!! I know he would look so small compared to the Yellow Bison, but oh my word!!!😮😲
I hope they make good use of those logs. Giving them to people for fire would to those that can’t afford it would be nice.
Nothing like a good old scratch and then a dirt bath. Big Joe certainly has the life
That's got to be an experience, sitting in on Big Joe's scratching post moment!
THE IOWA TOWN OF GREENFIELD GOT HIT HARD LIKE SULFER DID.
Hey Dusty, is your mom starting an online store for her Buffalo Hippy boutique? Find all the pics of the historic buildings and once your mom's store is back up and running use them for rememberance?.
Dusty, Oh my goodness, what destruction to your town. Where do they put all the scrap metal, brick and broken glass, etc.? So sad that some looters take advantage. Lot of memories for what was. I feel for all those displaced and the animals. Your bike looks neat and useful in hard to navigate areas.
Hopefully when they rebuild it's with better, more resistant construction. It's almost laughable in Florida now - you can see the new stuff that has the better code survive while everything around gets flattened.
Oklahoma seems like it's seasons are kinda dramatic, i live in N. California and it's getting hotter, but it isn't humid, and where i live winters arent freezing cold, and there's no Tornado's, i feel for the people back there. . . . they are tough people
I really miss when the got a new paster they do not run.
The park is just heartbreaking
Yes it is
