I feel like when you focused and in the zone making the beat and u have to mentally remind urself to talk because people are watching it brings u out of the zone if that makes any sense 😂
Dang that change up was sooooo smooth. Also the method for lining up the samples was simple but very effective. (eyeball the transient and fix the key later) It seems like doing it this way it's already changed from it's original form by the time you pick out your piece (loop). Thanks for the upload. This is a great way to work with random samples.
That's so cool to see nick do something else, sampling is so underrated in the producer community imo... Btw i see you're uploading a lot these days that's so cool
@@Unnes96ODT i'm talking about REAL sampling not just taking a sample and making a beat. Most people just take a sample, put the right BPM and that's it. What's nick is doing here is underrated. 🤦🏻
@@adtheproducer underrated maybe by people born After 2000 but people born in the 80s or 90s wouldn't agree...Different perspectives both could be true depending on your age.
I use splice samples just so I don’t get copyrighted for my music or looperman sometimes. Output arcade is good too but taking advantage of the one key new feature
First pitch the sample so u don't have any copyright issues, then do the note detection... in that exact order because sometimes when u pitch up/down a sample the root note might change(kinda).
@@park3r61 lol what??? Of course the root notes would change if you pitch the sample, that’s what pitching is Also, pitching a sample up/down absolutely does not change anything with copyright
Hey when your looking to sample a song etc what version should we be looking for to get the highest quality out the back end? I mean like the bitrate, kb, file size etc for example lets say im sampling a old lil wayne song and theres a bunch of versions on youtube I can grab it from, which would sound the best once the audio is ripped?
Anyone kno what he pressed at the 1:45 mark where he quickly quantized those chops together on tempo. I always find myself manually sliding and it takes forever to get chops perfectly timed
i like when nick talks more. i get to see his thought process and i hope he doesn’t feel like people don’t wanna listen to him. appreciate you man 💜

Been watching Nick's videos and twitch streams for a long time now, and I think this is my favorite cook up ever.
One of 'em fasho
sampling is so hard for me but u make it look so easy
I’m sure it wasn’t easy when he first took a stab at it
Just Keep doing random shit at time and it will come to u

I prefer to use Edison to automatically find the precise transients and then Serato Sample to find the key and BPM but to each their own
that first sample they sampled for destroy lonely diamonds & foreigns

nick always goes hard with his beats fr
cool how he made all the samples blend in the same key to make one beat .... smooth laid-back but still hard!!!

I always have the same problem with samples : root notes
Easy just use Edison’s note detection and teach your ear over time
First pitch the sample so u don't have any copyright issues, then do the note detection... in that exact order because sometimes when u pitch up/down a sample the root note might change(kinda).

Might be a stupid question but how did he get each sample to be in the same key ?
he listened for the root notes by using FL Keys, then pitched it up or down accordingly by ear
Probably listened by ear and figured they'll work together.
3rd sample is a destroy lonely song
I’ll try this next time bro
