You were talking about not being able to get some of these parts which ones were you referring to because I’m coming by quite a bit of them off of Midwest transmissions and cobra transmissions
Budget. Treating individual parts add up so we focus on the key stressed parts. If this trans was known to have a 1st gear weakness (ie a drag or auto X car) we'd treat 1st gear and the bearing
How do you know when to replace the shift sleeves? I am breaking down a 71C right now that was endurance raced. One of the "shift inserts" fell out and was in the oil. Very hard to find any gear after initially being stuck in gear. Assuming the sleeve was over traveling and allowed the shift insert to rock out of it's seat, but not sure why. Thank you.
@@CMAutohaus sorry I should have mentioned that it's the same with the car switched off. Its definitely not clutch related. I'm wondering what could be up with the gearbox selector being so stiff for only gear 1 and 2 ? Cheers
There should be a cost calculator on the WPC and CTP Cyrogenics website. But IMO it is very affordable for the long terms benefits you get from the treatment
Did you ever show how to measure the clearance to select the the counter shim?
do you have part numbers for all the bearings that you replaced? I also cant find a second gear synchro anywhere

Great stuff. I’m sure you had a reason, but why wasn’t 1st gear WPC and cryo treated? Sounds like it was the only thing that wasn’t.

How much hp can a rebuilt s14 transmission handle?
How much for a rebuilt on the ka24de s13 and s14 transmission? Just like this video?
Question... Why would this gearbox (s14a) be very difficult to select only 1st and 2nd gear after a short burn out.? Cheers
Clutch disc problems (overheating) or hydraulic issues would be my best guess

How do you install input shaft bearing with the housing on?
You cannot safely.
@@CMAutohaus that was my thought. Thank you for confirming. Also, what is the part number for the countershaft bearing and shim you’ve used?
@@ag.3153 Select fit sizes PNs are all in the FSM,
@@CMAutohaus I found the info for shim, but how about the countershaft bearing. It’s not in the FSM. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.
@@CMAutohaus no response to my question. Thanks.
How much do those treatment usually go for?

this the same transmission for the z31? no?
No. Z31, S13, and S14 transmissions are all based on the same architecture, but different internally.
