The bar about Nas just confirms that Nas has always wanted what's best for the culture. Nas even put his show on hold to give props, love, and moment of silence the night Pac died. Nas is one of the GOATs for a reason.

@@TheRonnieaj I mean Snoop had no business reposting Taylor Made lmao he shoulda supported Kendrick like most of the West Coast did. Especially since it’s Snoop. Shoulda gave Kendrick a shout like Nas did, but clearly he wasn’t going to if he was out here reposting TM. Connection is there. They take shots by either saying it or not saying anything when they should be (ie congratulating Kendrick since the west coast will be represented at the SB). Kinda like celebrating with the team even though you sat on the bench. Disrespectful on Snoops part, clearly been around long enough to know.

@@DrewtheJit two different things. In Kendrick perspective all he wants is the same loyalty and respect to be reciprocated, but people wanna be jealous because it’s his peak as if he doesn’t deserve all that he’s done for the past decade. All drake wanted to do was to show that he’s the greatest of all time because of his fame, while using people for his own personal benefit for the past decade. One is genuinely disappointed, while the other only cares about what might hurt his image.

Deyra Berrera is a mariachi singer on this track, Reincarnation and Gloria. She had been invited to game 1 of the World Series to sing a tribute to Dodger pitcher Fernando Venezuela who she was good friends with. Kendrick heard her sing and invited her to sing on his album. Source: Rollingstone article by Tomás Mier
Inviting a mariachi singer to be part of his album further shows his love for LA and recognizing and appreciating our diversity. It also shows Kendrick’s musicality. Deyra was singing a tribute for a friend who was beloved in this city and it’s telling that Kendrick wanted that same feeling of loss and hope for his album too.

What you don't understand is that in the past Wayne never campaign to do the Super Bowl like he did this time and unlike the past there was never a rapper coordinating the halftime show who also had the biggest say and who's going to perform the Super Bowl the way that there is now with Jay-Z.
THAT'S the differences. People like you want to bring up current performances by Wayne that aren't good when there's also current performances of him actually doing good as well and with nearly a year of prep time he could put on a fire performance but Jay-Z let his personal feelings toward Drake get in the way of choosing who should have really got picked.
If anyone's in his feelings it's Kendrick for coming on here trying to play the victim saying F everybody when everybody has literally been on his dick ever since the Drake beef playing not like us anywhere and everywhere.
And don't worry people aren't going to tune in much of the halftime show if he starts playing a bunch of diss tracks toward Drake cuz we know Kendrick's music overall doesn't resonate with people outside of Hip Hop

In that last verse about the bitcoin, bank transactions, etc. he’s talking about how someone (possibly Drake) was offering people in Kendrick’s city monetary gain for dirt. Kendrick is saying “they wouldn’t entertain ole boy” meaning nobody would give up anything on him. The crash dummy is referencing the money possibly going to someone reckless and irresponsible who could possibly cause harm to Kendrick or his family. Which is just reinforcing Kendrick not being with any truces with the other side

One element that you're overlooking is that the music is the old song Friends by Whodini. Kendrick talks about people showing their true faces over the beat of a song asking how many of us have REAL friends. I believe every song on this album has a sample relevant to the message of the song. Man at the garden is, ironically, One Mic from Nas

I think there will be another album, but Kendrick's silence doesn't mean he's not listening and seeing everything that's being talked about, so his way of responding is through music, he's not going to sit in an interview and say these things, it's Through his art he shows his feelings, in some moments his duality, and vulnerability, and this album brought me a lot of answers about everything that was said about him after Like That, during and after the battle, and he responds through music. I think he's also bringing the West Coast to the forefront through this album which resonates really well, and the artists that collaborated on it also show that. I knew Kendrick wouldn't like Taylor Made Freestyle, but I didn't know it would be so profound for him, I think it also contributed to the directions and choices he made in battle, and while I thought Kendrick was playing chess with Drake, I was wrong, he was playing chess, but Drake was only a piece on the board and never his real opponent.

"Ridin in my GNX with Anita Baker in the tape deck.." I can't understand why this line is not on beat? I just can't wrap my head around it. Kendrick seems to be so into details and that makes me wonder if he said "tape" a bit early on purpose? But why? It's such a set up with the beat drop and everything. I absolutely love this song, listen to it like every day, and this question keeps haunting me... it's such an easy retake , or just a fix afterwards, to move it a bit so it hits on beat. But no, it's there. Too early. Set up by silence and a beat drop. And it's just there. Must be on purpose then right? But why? Why?? Why highlight a hiccup in the flow?? I cant make sense of it. I can't sleep because of this. I wake up sweating, doing all types of calculations in my brain but nothing adds up. Just slam the word "tape" down on the beat drop brother! Let me sleep! @knoxhill Can you explain this please so I can move on with my life and just keep enjoying this brilliant rapper? Its ok if you reach, just help me.
