I agree, Nakai Akira San himself said his creations are to be raced, throwing a kit on for looks just to be seen at meets and taken from place to place by truck is just as bad as storing a bone stock one in a glorified garage.
Ah yes, using the body kit that was specifically built for a one thing, and that is to send em on tracks!! I hope Nakai-san would still do this in the future and also to those other aftermarket wide body kits like Liberty Walk (in their GT Silhouette kit), Rocket Bunny, Varis, and Voltex would to the same kind of thing as what RWB did!!! I know that it's personal preferences but for me, when you say body kits with aerodynamic parts, it only mean one thing and that is to track the car while keeping the street legal use. Big props to Nakai-san!!
This is the coolest lap in a legendary car. Definitely more of these rather than laps in new cars, without any noise or sweat. Too often these get slammed on air suspension and never used properly. While in Japan they regularly run track days in Tsukuba, Suzuka and anywhere. It proves to be a challenge but I'm sure on better tires and better setup it would be very quick.
24:43 You look like that thing what nightmares are made of. I'm still thankful you did your best to do a fun lap for us to enjoy despite the heat. stay hydrated my man.
Smartass time: Wastegate ≠ Blow off valve, my dude. Wastegate: Exhaust side, opens when a certain amount of boost is reached BOV: Intake side, opens when throttlebody closes
Cool Porsche. I'd love for Misha to drive my C5 Z06 on the Ring when it's finished. Currently have it stripped down and I'm trying to get a c7 manual 7 speed transaxle with custom gearing to fit in the rear. Also modifying the Torque tube to be shorter so I can pull the ITB flat plane LS6 back 2 inches in the engine bay for better distribution. Going to take me a long time to finish it especially with my limited time due to work but it would be great to see Misha rip it around the ring and give feedback.
I love seeing this helmet cam POV as it helps us see exactly where you are looking as you enter and then follow through a turn. Interesting how far down the track you are looking. Good tip.
Awesome car!! Love these types of videos. Keep them coming. Will like to see this car again when it’s run in and setup better. You are a good driver Misha. Don’t make excuses like Smee. Just kidding. You drove it really well considering all things. It’s great to be able to see it. Thanks to the lucky owner.
Such a thing of beauty RWB Porsche's are. Seen quite a few builds here on UA-cam. I think this was the very 1st build. It's amazing to watch them come together. Nice lap's considering the conditions in there. Dedication going for no2. 😂
@@iceb-akap77ice93 Ok. But this one is not first outside japan either. If i remember correctly this one was build august 2018 and what i know Nakai-san builds about 100 cars all over the world in a year. Time for an electric AC kit! Wonderful car. The more and more I think about, for me peak car is mid 90s to late 2000s. Perfect mix between speed, involvement, technology.
Alot of rwbs only have a few cosmetic changes especially the bolt on arches never been a fan. This car has alot of engineering upgrades which I do like. It's still obvious that the car isn't perfectly sorted
Maybe a bit off topic here Misha but I would really love to see you take one of Ruf's creations out on track and just hammer on it. It doesn't even need to be a special like the yellow bird, just an honest CTR driven hard. Keep up the great work 👍👍
Your channel made me stay as they say 'Ring Freak'. Finally, It was nice meeting you in person at the Devil's Diner at sunday. Shortly because I wasn't ready for it 😜. See u next time and don't stop it all 😜💪🖖💯🇵🇱
Cancel AC delete. I wonder if these cars still have vents and a blower moter. Turning the outside air on with just the fan should provide some cooling, no ? Unless all of that is taken out. I have seen some other cars on this channel with no AC but vents still present so I assumed the fan and heater are still there. Anyway a great car and a great lap, minus the AC. They look kinda intimidating to drive but they must be hella fun.
To get the chance to drive that I'd happily get hot & sweaty, even with the rev limit, what an awesome car to play with, definitely looking forward to seeing a repeat performance when it's dialled in, Rj in Oz
Its not the age, its the heat. Nowadays we have 30-37°C over like 3 or 4 weeks, where normally it was 25°C for 2 days.... the weather has become unbearable.

Relative to the speed it looked a bit stiff and locally a bit unconfortable by the video. I like the the cult though but never really understood how RWBs work on track. Ive always thought they are more like show cars than all and all track cars. But with a 3.8 Turbo the power is there for a lap time.
What were those warning lights on the dash? Red and amber, guessing amber was fuel? Anyhow, I guess offering you a drive in my 1995 M3 GT Twin Turbo is out of the question, it has no aircon :D
Great video! I do have a question and sorry if I missed you discussing however how does the car feel in the corners at increase, reduction and steady speeds? What I am getting at is trying to understand how much effect does the low offset wheels have on the corner/driving sensation due to the huge change in scrub radius? Have you driven a 911 with a properly extended track width and did that still feel like a 911 or something different?
Such a badass machine, combining the old school with some real art, and what would it be like if we put this together and then MS drives it on expo for all to enjoy!!?? Results of total badassery, one of my favorite vids right here... This car is the best!

Easily my favorite car I seen you take for a lap. It could be a garage or trailer queen but respect to the owner for sending it out onto the Ring.
Some Porsche enthusiasts may not like RWB but in my eyes and thoughts it's PHENOMENAL.
What a machine! See what you mean about losing time due to lack of AC though, not so much here but in general how distracted you can become from heat
its worth the weight
@@johannsmith5697 not if you're losing time lol, need better air induction to the cabin then.

Awesome, thanks for sweating and kudos to the owner. That must be the biggest intercooler ever fitted to a 993. And that thumbnail 👌
finally an RWB getting some love
