    Good video,clear and to the point. I broke one of the rear ones and thought I'd just leave it but it would leak under boost. M6x1.0 helicoil kit and 1/4 drill bit fixed it. However it's broke again while doing spark plug tube seals. I dip my drill bit and tap in thick grease and the metal shavings stick to the grease. May look into studs. Anything over 8 ft lbs of torque and these will snap/strip.

    Thanks so much. I was thinking of heli coils but had a hard time figuring out what size they were. You did my homework for me. I also like the vacuum idea. I was just gonna put a rag around it.

    Thank youuuuuuuu!! This happened to my 2002 Honda civic. I thought the valve cover gasket was worn out and the reason for an oil leak. It was part of it but after I put back the bolt and it was spinning, I was like bruhhhhh 😑 but seeing this will help me out alot! Thanks you!

    What is the torque on those bolts and pattern for removal and replacement?

    • @hondaresource
      @hondaresource  Рік тому

      8 ft/lb work outside to inside removing, and inside to outside installing.

    It looks like whoever owns that car is good about changing the oil on time as clean as that head and valvetrain is, I hardly ever see that on a vehicle this old.

    • @hondaresource

      yeah, no doubt, I occasionally see them pretty clean

    I don't know how people have so much trouble with stripping bolts out, not over tightening things isn't rocket science. Great tip though as always!
