  • The Ford Motor Company Ohio Assembly Plant, also known as OHAP, is located in Avon Lake, Ohio. Here's some information about the plant:
    Started Production: 1974
    Size: 3.7 million square feet on a 419-acre site
    Employees: Around 1,800 (as of August 2023, mostly hourly workers)
    Current Products:
    Ford F-650/F-750 medium duty trucks
    F-350/450/550 Super Duty chassis cabs
    E-Series cutaway and stripped chassis
    History:
    Originally opened in 1974 to produce the Ford Econoline/E-Series van.
    Briefly produced the Mercury Villager and Nissan Quest (1993-2002)
    Produced the Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner until 2005.
    E-Series van production stopped at the end of 2013 (replaced by the Ford Transit).
    Began production of the Ford F-650 and F-750 in 2015.
    Started assembling the 2017 F-350, F-450 and F-550 chassis cabs in 2016.
    Won the Q1 Quality Award for highest build quality in 2017.
