    *Like most of the people said the instruction suck. **do7.pl/gate** But this little unit work very well. I made a mistake by installed the base first, it end up I have to adjust the chain so that the gear and chain in the same line. If I have to install one more I will install it in the follow order.*

    It's crazy, but in 2024, this video from 2013 is the only useful installation instructions I could find for a Aleko AC2000NOR sliding gate opener. Thank you random person for taking the time an entire decade ago to create and upload this information, I would have been completely lost without it! Understanding how the magnet sensor works is absolutely key and is quite poorly described in the manual (much like every other important aspect of this unit) and this video explains it perfectly. I found that the drive chain (which in my kit came in two separate 10 foot lengths that you had to link together) is best mounted with a fair amount of slack in it, otherwise it will bind in the chain box and cause the clutch to slip. After removing a few links and adjusting the threaded tensioners, the opener operated flawlessly with about 6" of total deflection at the center of the 20 foot chain span. Also worth mentioning that once I got the magnets and chain adjusted correctly, there were no internal adjustments needed otherwise.

      Hey you're welcome, that is why I did the video. I struggled with figuring this thing out forever and I figured this may help someone. It's a pretty good opener, just terrible instructions. Glad I could help

    Thanks very much. I live in Florida and both ants and bugs got inside and shorted out the board , so now I have sealed the 2 little holes and around the power cord with liquid nails .

    Make your chain looser. A tight chain puts more stress on gears and sprokets and wears motor out over time.

    Hey, do you think the control boards would be interchangeable? For example, could I put a LiftMaster or Aleko control board into a Viper unit?

  • @shaunaw4328

    I can't get the chain to release. The keys are broken, like yours. And I used other tools to turn the key. But it won't release the chain. So I turned it to the right. And it won't engage the chain. Seems like my chain is in limbo because the gate won't open by using the motor, but it also won't let me pull the gate open. Any suggestions?

    I’ve had my gate opener for just a little over a year and it gets stuck closed at times even unpluging the motor doesn’t work. I called up Aleko they said its the programming of the circuit board and that id have to buy another board for 100.00. This system does not last long however they say 3 year warranty but they don’t honor it.

  • @freaknixs
    @freaknixs 9 років тому

    on another note. it doesn’t matter if the magnets are reversed switching the red and green wires coming from the magnet detector on the circuit board instead of re mounting magnets works just as well. all the magnets do is operate two separate switches with a common ground.

    Thanks for the video. I purchased an Aleko AC1400 from the manufacturer in Washington state. Biggest mistake of 2020. The instructions could have been more useful in braille. I see that you installed the gate on the right side. We had to install ours on the left, which reverses the open and close features. We tried to install the child safety sensors and since the opener is on the left side the sensor would act in reverse and close when triggered (sensor interrupted) instead of opening. Is there a way to program the opener to act accordingly? I know I can't change the setting of the sensor and if I don't correct this I would not pass inspection. Can anyone advise?

    now that you have had it for a while, how would you rate it now? Has anything needed to be replaced or anything wearing out? You mentioned the housing in the video.

    How do you know which magnets open or close? Or are both magnets the same, its just one magnet has to be positioned halfway towards the bottom like the top? And does the open bottom magnet close halfway past the sensor?

    hello sir! thank you so much for uploading this, as i just brought one online recently and having a hard time for technical support from the co./dealer where i got it , hope you wont mind me asking for your help with regards to operation and programming maybe as i'm done with the installation already, the problem i have is controlling it and having a hard time to figure it out, ( never did it before, got no experience at all, just trying to do it myself to save some money as the pro gate co. is charging a lot and cant afford it, the same way my lower back is killing me for doing it manually for 2 months, as the previous opener i had for 10 years gave up already) what i did so far after the installation was turning it on and erase all factory presets info stored on the remotes then tried to pressing button 1, had to press it twice to have the motor running unfortunately, it runs continuously and gate wont move at all, (had to turn it off immediately to avoid overheating the motor). that's it, as am afraid might damage it whatever, i've been so dumb and stupid for almost a week now and still it's not working! hope you have some time to help me resolve the issues i have! i understand if your busy and cannot, but please accept my thanks anyway just for reading this. Thanks a lot!

    One thing to note - if your gate opener is mounted on the left rather than the right, the magnets need to be reversed. They're not open and close, they're stop left, stop right.

    • @mentatchris
      @mentatchris 7 років тому

      Justin Bennett one magnet stops travel in one direction, the other stops in the opposite. if you find your magnet didn't stop the gate, try the other one.

    These sliding gate openers are made in China and sold by a number of outfits in the U.S. As mentioned in the video, they have various brand names, but are in fact the same unit using the DKL400UY name, etc. They are basically a cheap unit with terrible instructions and poor or no back-up customer service. Most of the dealers are out of business. The dealers who remain are mostly useless and speak such bad English, its near impossible to understand them. I had to replace the KZB13 circuit board for the second time for $95 and it has now gone bad again, of course, now out of warranty. The opener seems to work fine when working correctly, but they need to improve the quality of the circuit board and include better, complete instructions and a trouble-shooting Q/A section. Also, Aleko in Kent, WA are basically crooks, so beware.
    Note: Make sure your unit is completely sealed from weather and insects. On another opener a tiny slug had crawled inside apparently seeking heat of the circuit board a shorted out the contacts on the soldered side of the CB, which fried him and my CB.
