  • Video artist Christine Schörkhuber documented Peter Ablinger's workshop „Composition Beyond Music" during the 47th International Summer Course for New Music (2 to 16 August 2014 in Darmstadt). Over two weeks Peter Ablinger and the 13 participants (Robert Blatt, Victoria Cheah, Aaron Einbond, Neele Hülcker, Jörg Köppl, Ingrid Lee, Sergej Maingardt, Alessandro Perini, Elena Rykova, Juan Sorrentino, Sven Sosnitski, Berglind Maria Tomasdottir, Dan Tramte) worked together in Darmstadt and did several presentations during the Summer Course.
„Field recordings, site-specific compositions and installations, the presentation of sounds, sound production as a social pattern, the essentials of sound and music, music without sounds, technology and research into source material, the body in music, archaeoacoustics, sound and other media, perception and reality" - in these words Peter Ablinger describes some of the themes of the workshop series "Composition Beyond Music" that is part of the European Network ULYSSES and had its first edition at impuls Academy Graz in 2013.

Some interesting things going on here (and it will be interesting to see how they pan out) but, surely, this is conceptualism with musical instruments (as with Fluxus) rather than pure composition?

Binaural beats is hemi sync synchronisation the difference between two frequencies routed to your left and right hemispherium cerebri. It synchronize your brain and i believe the effect is similar to effect of Lysergic acid diethylamide on our brains. All science should join and compare their results thus not be seperated from each other.
