This is by far the most helpful video I've seen explaining the VM34, thank you!

Hugely helpful!! I didn't realize that the main jet was in the side. I thought that was just a bowl drain!!

Thanks for making life easier for me with my Mikuni VM 36 on my 1979 Suzuki PE 250 N it’s dumping fuel out of the Overflow pipe so I’ll go ahead now and try and get it sorted 😉👍 And Best wishes to all in Australia 🇦🇺 from 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

Hey I have a question about a Mikuni Carburetor and am a little confused about it. It is 36mm on the outside and 30.5mm on the inside and on the side of the carb it has 25C 00 what does that mean ? It has a round side and a VM model but not really for sure which one I need to order......

Hi. I have got an XF650 Freewind. Twin carbs is just trouble. I want to change to a single one (DR650).
    Is there a manifold available?

My bike will only rev up with the chokes on, it won’t rev with them off. It just goes blahhhhhhhttt and dies. The plugs have always been very sooty and black, which tells me it’s too rich. Since the Mikuni starter circuit is different from a standard choke, is it giving me more air to the mixture while it’s on and throttle opened? Which is why it can then rev with the choke on? With the throttle closed, it will barely idle with the starter circuit on. Been chasing down the tuning with these carbs for weeks. Air screw is almost falling out to achieve a rise in rpms; I have smaller pilot jets on the way. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Honda 400cc with Mikuni VM 32’s.

Sir, can you tell me what the black rubber like piece on the top of the VM36 carb is for? After I kept watching your video, it appears that it is for the throttle cable, correct? Thx.

It is COMPULSORY that you use AND tell people to use Japanese Industry Standard (JIS) screwdrivers on Mikuni Carbs (or any other Japanese product. Philips WILL always cam-out and damage the JIS screwheads. Lots of videos on UA-cam
