      Unfortunately life has happed and we have had to relocate away from Alabama. We have completed our first overlanding trip through the Sierra's and will post that video soon!

    Can a stock F-150 FX4 on stock 33" Dynapro AT2 Hanhooks make 600-1 or 600-2 without likely needing a winch? Thanks!

      I am pretty sure that you would have no issues, you may see in the video we passed some stock Toyota Tacoma's. You defiantly do not need a winch for these trails

    I think I'm going to do this trail next month in my F-150 on street tires. I need a "hardcore" soundtrack. Any suggestions?

      Have a great time out there on the trail! We enjoy listening to the forest when we are out there, but I am sure you will put together a great selection!

    Great video, had to stop watching though when you got stuck on the rear camera view, it makes me dizzy to watch from the rear. Would rather have seen forward view on all of those shots, through the ruts, I am new to Jeeping and would rather have seen the line you took facing forward than the rear. Still enjoyed the video.

      Thanks for the advice, it's rather difficult to capture the best angle but completely understand what you are saying.

    do you think a stock subaru crosstrek could handle 600-2?

    • @theroadlessexplored
      @theroadlessexplored  Рік тому

      Jackson - Take a look at the Muddy and Rutted sections of 600-2. I would not feel comfortable taking my Subaru through these sections. If you don't mind some scraping and damage and use some momentum you might make it through but I would not risk it. Why don't you try 600-1 first, if you make that then try out 600-2 if you think you can make it.

    Anyone know if the 600-2 is still closed?

      As far as I know it was/is only closed from one side, you can still access the trail from the other side

      @@theroadlessexplored I actually went up it starting from the 600-1 side. Got a few miles in but hit a pretty steep obstacle that I didn't feel comfortable hitting in my stock Xterra. Left my shovel there by accident so if anyone finds a folding short profile shovel please let me know lol.

    Can you camp these roads?

    • @theroadlessexplored
      @theroadlessexplored  Рік тому

      Brent, not sure if you are allowed to camp but there are certainly indications that people do camp along these roads

      The pinhoti trail runs along 600-1 and 600-2 the whole way. All the lookouts up thru there ppl camp at. Also there are several primitive camp sites if you just walk trail just a bit all thru there.
