Just bought my third bottle of this stunning gift to the world. And for a stunning 29,50€. It’s 5.30 in the morning. I’m having one right now as we speak. What a richly flavored colorful whisky. With a kick to it.
Bought ledaig 10 after watching a ralphy review. Loved it. Was suprised how sweet it was and not so in your face as the Ardbegs and Laphroaigs like you say. Will have to give this a try 👍
As far as things I'd like to see you review...... My favourite unpeated whisky has always been bunnahabhain 12 that was until a few weeks ago I picked up a bottle of 'classic laddie'. Not sure which one I prefer as they are both superb. Would love to see your take on classic laddie. Keep up the good work. Love your videos and you definitely deserve more subscribers 👍
Keep hearing good things about this, need to get one in my next UK order. Another great value heavily peated one is Old Ballintruan heavily peated NAS. From the Tomintoul distillery 50% NCF and a good price. They also have 10 and 15 year age statment bottles that are also a good price 50% NCF and have a cleaner peat than the iodine tcp that Islay's have. Cheers
Great review, drinking this whisky while watching. My wife bought as a valentine's gift(great girl). I couldn't agree more with your tasting notes, great Whisky!
Got one of these for my Xmas and look forward to reviewing this as well. Had it before in a couple of bars and loved it…. Thought I had already subscribed but seen I hadn’t… sorry bout thst but I’m now a follower and was great to see ya at the Aqvavitae blind challenge in November
Ayy legend!! What an awesome weekend that was. Thanks for the sub, brother! Amazing liquid for the money, eh? Hoping they do some more of these NAS cask finishes in the same price bracket. Cheers! 🥃🥃🥃
Amazing review for this amazing whisky. Not so far of Talisker 10 in some aspects but more special with this rioja finish and more oily too. Paid 33 euros !!!
People like the ledaig 10 yo. Also great but I like this one more. I don’t like Ardbeg these days with all their limited editions ( the core range though are great) but if they came up with something like this …….huge fan of the rioja cask finished ledaig. No I love it 🥰 ❤😊
I've been having issues finding standard releases that are natural colour. I would love a video on the "craft" presented standard releases / distilleries. One thing I dislike is when I don't buy a bottle I know is on the cheaper side because it lacks information. Also I'm a huge Deanston fan. They did an amazon exclusive stout cask I found interesting and would love to hear your thoughts.
I have that on my shelf, I can certainly look into reviewing it. I had this exact conversation yesterday, y’know!! I’d love to see more transparency on the labels. I guess honesty can be hard to come by if you’re hiding something? Cheers! 🥃🥃
Great review Ben, tried this whisky along side with the 10, I personally preferred the Rioja cask finish have to be in the right mood for just peat and smoke. Will be replacing Rioja cask soon oh and get your pronunciation right you bad boy.
Ben, I tried ledaig a while back it’s a very nice dram. Talking of Smokey whisky’s I would love to know the intricacies and differences between the 3 most recent octomores 9.3 10.3 and 11.3. I tried the 9.3 but my wallet (and my girlfriend) would complain if I bought the other 2 lol
Yes Martin! That’s a good question. On paper there doesn’t seem to a huge difference between them. All around 5/6 years old. All just over 60% ABV. All American oak, the 11.3 being the only first-fill, the rest refill. PPM at 133, 114, and a whopping 194 respectively… albeit pre-distillation. I’d imagine their differences are fairly subtle. I’ll see if I can get some samples! Cheers 🥃🥃🥃
@@itsgoodjuice ýòù gòt that right. That's why I would like you to review it. I don't know how your gonna get a sample. I bought a 20cl. bottle (30GBP) when I was on the tour. And I thought that was expensive
I seem to be on an island of one by not having much of a love for the Rioja cask - I liked it, but I didn't have an epiphany with it in the same way I did with the 10. Gonna chuck in a suggestion for the Island Smoke Black Bottle.
I wouldn’t say I had an epiphany… until I saw the price! Personally, I enjoy having something a little different at the “same old stuff” price. Oooh that island smoke has been on my list for a while! Consider it done! 🥃🥃🥃
@@RK-ll4ku Really, I had no idea this was a common pronunciation, and I did try Google Translate but it must've chosen american English by default. In any case, the american version is more true to the Spanish pronunciation. Turns out I was the ignorant, haha!

So much love for this bottle, great review buddy! I need to get myself one of those spinning stands 👌

Thanks, John! Absolutely love this stuff. PRAYING they drop a few more “Sinclair Series” in the future to follow suit. Cheers! 🥃🥃

Benriach Smoky 12 is a lovely sweet smokey dram.

Love this whisky. It's so good. Salted almond brittle on bonfire night. Such good value too.
You know it. Belting dram for £30 a pop. Cheers 🥃🥃
Tried at a whisky show and loved it, got one on the way! Great review Ben 🥃
Cheers man!! Great liquid eh!! Especially as we can get it on Amazon over here for next to nothing. 🥃🥃🥃🥃
Such a unique taste it kind of reminded me of ardbeg uigeadail. Although I’ve not tried that in years
It’s lovely stuff!! I’ve not cracked out the Uigeadail in ages either… that’ll be tonight’s drop I think! Cheers! 🥃
Been a massive fan of Ledaig for a while now but still haven't tried this one!
Great review. Had this one and the normal 10y. Both lovely. 🥃
Absolutely they are! Had them side by side last night and cannot complain at all. Cheers!! 🥃🥃
I'm one of the few not overly impressed by the Ledaig 10, but I do have a sample of this which I was try asap. Cheers Ben.
I definitely have to be in the mood, but really do enjoy it when I fancy it. Give it a punt and let me know what you think!!

Don't take this the wrong way but I don't understand where your pronunciation of "rioja" comes from. 😅
Hey! What’s wrong with it!?! I’m pretty crap with pronunciation at the best of times but I didn’t think it was that bad?! 😢
Google - UK English = Ree-ocka, US English - Ree-oh-ha
