Always talking about race day. I run but have never raced and have no plans to. I run because I love it. Always banging on about races fosters the very mistakes you spend so much time telling people to avoid, over training, running too fast, comparing yourself to others or a younger you etc. Today’s run is the only one that matters. In my opinion. Still I love your videos and you seem like a good bunch. All the best.
Just learned the shoe lesson the hard way. Have been a Saucony loyalist for decades. Changed model a year plus ago and loved the push off feel I got from them. Been in the Coach Parry FBF program doing a slow, easy build up plan. Over time my feet were hurting all the time. I attributed it to age, daily non-trainer shoes etc. My PT suggested it was early stage plantar fasciitis. Had been curious about Hokas and got a pair for Christmas. Loved the plush feel. To my surprise, a few weeks later, the foot pain was gone. As for pineapples, being half Italian, never! 😊
I have difficulties accepting the logic in safety standards or precautions for running, facing oncoming traffic….but I’ll agree with you there and now. However I will certainly not dismay the truth! Pineapple does belong on pizza and is often accompanied by a savory partner in the form of crispy bacon or thick sliced ham, and it’s the amalgamated flavors of the two which simply makes the argument the it is clearly too controversial to not be…delicious. With out one or the other is a losing battle.
I'm lucky that on Strava I see people of all ages, heights, and genders running faster, slower, shorter, longer, harder, etc. It allows me to feel a lot more comfortable about where I'm at. Ultimately I'm just out here having fun anyway. It isn't about races or setting PRs, it's just about getting outside and enjoying some time to myself after work. Although I do improve I would still be out here even if I didn't because I just enjoy doing this.
Sooo, I have lots of knives but use my bread knife for all sorts of tasks... and I like Hawaiian pizza. I'm destined to be a slow runner forever! 😂 Downloading your strength program now!
I'd love to know how many miles coach parry ran/week which induced the iron deficiency. It's a tricky one for runners as the inflammation (from running) can hinder iron absorption from the intestine so pills won't work well, need infusions from what I understand. How was it managed for you? (Understanding this isn't for general medical advice, but just curious).
I was vegan for several years and bought into the vegan lifestyle. I was also constantly injured. When I went back to drinking cows milk, eating beef, and even going keto for a while, it helped tremendously. I’m 61. I’ll be running my 6th Boston this year. I’ll have a greasy hamburger the day before…. 👍🏻
Are you team pineapple or team no pineapple?🍍 or 🚫🍍?

You actually have to run on the same side coming back, else you going to get the same camber coming back if you come back the other side of the road.
That start at the beginning-so relatable! 😂

Everywhere in the world they put pineapple on a pizza. 🍍
I like to do 10x400m intervals every once in awhile, and I also like pineapple and ham on a pizza about as frequently.

Consider researching lactoferrin for better iron absorption. Take it along with vitamin C.
Before I watch, I bet I will have all of them
No one 'WINS' at parkrun, you may have come first..it's not a race, common mistake.😂

just here to see how derailed the comments got about a mention of Hawaiian pizza.
