Your doing a great job, only thing I could add is keep all your extra resin away from the light so it doesn't set up. Keep up the great work and thanks for the tutorial.

Excellent video!!! Just re-discovered mod podge as ABSOLUTE GOLD for preserving ink jet prints from bleeding before other experiments. Being obsessed with transparency 😂, I have been experimenting with various images printed on matte transparent sticker paper, vellum, & acetate, then combining with uv resin. All went bad until I randomly used mod podge to seal in the ink. Now... absolutely fabulous results, so very exciting. I will be trying the wire-wrap dragon fly next. Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you, Gi. 😊

According to another video I watched, one needs to make sure unused resin (like yours mixed with mica powder) isn’t placed where the UV light can reach it or it will harden. Love your butterflies! You sound like a kid in a candy shop and I feel your joy! So pretty and looks like a lot of fun!

You made some beautiful ephemera pieces today. I can also see these being turned into dangly earrings or decorative pins to wear on your clothing. Just as an FYI, I just watched another UA-camr use her clear gel nail polish to do the same thing instead of the resin if you would like to try the process out before purchasing this very nice already mixed resin.

Love your videos and inspiration ❤️ Using gloves and mask is good, be careful putting your bottle, tools and mixed glitter resin near the UV machine or even a sunny window as UV travels a bit and will cure anything close. Disposable toothpicks or wooden coffee stirrers like popsicle sticks work great too and you don't run the risk of the resin curing on your good tools.
I've tried clear and glitter nail polish instead of UV resin on other items, should work for paper for the base coat, instead of decoupage glue.

I don't know if you know, BUT eye shadow, including those from the dollar stores, are made of mica powder. You can mix eye shadow with the UVResin gel. Happy crafting!

It's cheaper to get pure mica powders from eBay rather than buying a set of eyeshadows especially. If you have some at home fair enough, but to drive to and from Dollar Tree, and from what I've realised about America, for some people that can be a half hour's drive away to get to a Dollar Tree, if not more. (Side note: how TF do you cope with those distances to shops??? 😳 That would drive me insane! I've never lived more than a couple of minute's walk from essential stores, and no more than ten minutes walk to all the shops I could want, in my entire life! Then again, Britain could fit in one of your 50 states 😂. But Jeez some of those distances are scary!) Anyhoo, I got a set of 12 tiny 5g pots, of pure mica powders from eBay, free postage, for around £2.50p... which to you is around $3.75¢ ish. The problem with eyeshadows, particularly cheap ones, is that the amount of mica is tiny, therefore not giving much pigment, and the bulk of it is made of talc or other chalky powders... actually probably chalk itself! They also have a shelf life because of the other ingredients. Not that hygiene is particularly a problem when it's a craft project, but mica powders are pure, naturally occurring colours, no dyes added etc. So it isn't expensive to buy the real thing. In fact expensive make up brands will hype up their prices by adding "pure natural ingredients" such as micas, when in fact they're cheaper than producing manmade dyes! Just worth considering especially if you were making flowers like these, to adorn a keepsake trinket box or photo frame (for example) for a gift that will be held onto for years. Especially as the amount of resin coating on these is so thin. Oooh those mica powders Gi just brought in are almost the exact same ones I got for a couple of pounds! Nearly identical! Don't get me wrong, if I ever went to America I'd need a mortgage and a shipping container to bring back all the Dollar Tree, Micheal's and Jo-Ann's etc stuff I'd be grabbing like a nut-case! 🤣 But I know for some of you, the cost of petrol can make a $1 dollar item way more expensive! 😘😘😘

I've been interested in trying this with resin. I like it's not 2 liquids. And it holds on jewels, glitter, mica powder, & paper clip. Love making hole for a dangle too. They look great.
*** Do you think this is stronger than using Glossy Accents or Diamond Glaze??? Like regarding cracking or breaking?? ***
I've been wondering which is strongest. I read any light works fine, even $1 Store lights that are cheap. Just takes longer under the light.
Thx for great video. I think a lot of us have been wondering about using resin like this. Austin,TX USA
