Some people are so determined to wage war against Reality that they even deny the existence of consciousness. They claim it's an illusion.

To claim that a "magic trick" is an illusion is NOT to deny the existence of the "magic trick", merely to claim that it isn't constituted exactly as we may think it is.

@@stephannaro2113 Referring to consciousness as a "magic trick" (ie saying it's something else) is essentially denying its existence. It's interesting how often people will say "ignore your senses, ignore your reason, ignore what you KNOW by direct introspection, because it's all an illusion". Not buying it.

@@robertromero8692 I have no idea how you interpret the claim in that way. I've read a book about it and watched talks about it and I don't interpret the argument as claiming that consciousness doesn't exist.

@@stephannaro2113 I based my post on your use of the phrase "magic trick". That implies an illusion, ie something that isn't real.

@@robertromero8692 Except that I pointed out that "magic tricks" ARE real, they are just not what you might think that they are.

Objectivity is simply a relationship between reality and man's consciousness- the right relationship, which means a grasp of a fact. This guy kills me with his over wording.

He stated objectivity starting at 2:46 and the two types used in philosophy "exists out there in the World" and "way we think"
