It's really nice, and probably works great, but that is a hefty price tag. I wonder if they will ever make it to Walmart, they may have it at a lower price. A couple things I will they would have differently to the design: A pizza peel sleeve on both sides, and perhaps an closed back and a door on the front to get to the propane. Perhaps a warming drawer right below the oven as well.
Yep - most popular items involve price gouging because they know that people will pay it.....however it has been getting a lot worse in recent years with some companies/products. I remember putting together my Blackstone prep cart (to go along with my 36" Blackstone grill), and if I remember right, I had 7 bolts left over that wouldn't line up with holes in the super cheap stamped steel and were unusable. Somehow the cart stays together, but the quality control is abysmal. But, that's normal these days - make the product as cheap as possible for as much profit as realistically possible. Can't really blame the company if people are willing to pay it, but my real issue is that SO many products these days are garbage, it's difficult to get anything that's actually good or lasts even if you do pay a lot for it. Household appliances are the worst in regard to this.
Oh, I'm so sorry. That's way to much money. I dont know if it is worth it but not for me personally. Thank you for sharing. If I was a little more flush with more space maybe. Love your work brother. I don't hardly go to face book anymore. Getting pretty fed up with you tube though. The dang commercials run longer than my blogs or especially when I want to play my music. God bless all here.
Todd you make videos and reviews fun !!! I am a huge Blackstone fan and I am so glad that you're a spokesperson for their product !! Keep the videos coming . I'm a fan for life and I hope that you're doing well ? .
I've been waiting for the new pizza oven to launch. I have one of the original ones and still using it. I think I paid about $400 back then and thought it was high at that price. The new unit, though is "prettier", the technology is unchanged, at over 2X the money. They seem to still have the cheap grill rotisserie motor that is battery/120v transformer driven. The rotating plate seems heftier, cast iron vs stamped steel . . but I would like to see if they still have the chintzy sealed bearings on the vertical shaft that is driven by the motor. I will wait until WalMart puts one on clearance for $300-400 before even considering the unit. Thanks for the Blackstone Betty style review.
I agree. I have the original as well. I love it, but it squeaks and makes a terrible noise and I'd like to get a new one. This one seems marginally improved for over twice the price. Not seeing a whole lot of innovation between the models other than this one looking a little nicer, and perhaps the rotating collar has been improved.
Great review Thank you. Of course I just ordered the 22 inch pizza conversion last week, looks like a great product, I can’t unsee the resemblance to lord helmet from Spaceballs however lol
This is version 3, I have version 2. Issue with the Blackstone is uneven cooking, center undercooked, outer overcooked. I modded mine by adding a 2nd burner, modded the rotating shaft and removed the metal plate that holds the lower stone. This allows multiple types of pizzas. Thin, thick, & multi toppings. Center vs outer and bottom of pizza....looks like ver 3 has not addressed shortcomings. This unit is good for thin pizzas only.
try pre-heating longer on a slightly lower burner setting. you are blasting the burner on the outer edge of the stone and not giving the heat the chance to balance out. I've been using the original for over a decade and do not have the issues you describe. for sure does not need a second burner. you just need to learn the oven and how to achieve balance. top and bottom are easily balanced during the cook by turning the burner up or down.
High heat pizza ovens like this are made for making Neapolitan style pizzas. That is what drove the pizza oven craze in the first place. If you are looking to make another style of pizza, it really is like asking a horse to do a bulls work. You may be disappointed if you are trying to make another style. I want to see how this oven makes a traditional Neapolitan pizza...that is the whole point of the high heat. Haven't seen that yet. If you want your pizza more crispy, you need to cook it at a lower temp...which means you could just use your home oven.
@@rbiv5 Absolutely not true. Perfectly suited to NY style in the 600-650 degree range for a 4 minute bake (which is beyond most home ovens) plus dumping a bunch of heat into the house in the warmer months is not great, so an outdoor pizza oven is helpful in that regard. Also perfectly capable of American style in the 400-500 range. ETA: forgot 'nearlypolitan' in the 700-800 range.
I make pizzas at least once a week for my cheat day. So i already have a Blackstone griddle...Now it's time to get the Blackstone Pizza oven. Thanks Todd!
Hi, Mike - It is extremely well built and can cook a fresh dough pizza in 90 seconds to 2 minutes. In any event, I sure do appreciate you continuing to watching my videos. God bless!!
Nice to see more pizza ovens featuring a rotator now. I know the OG Blackstone pizza oven did, but now in the last year we’ve seen the Halo Versa 16, QStove and this new entry.
I just bought a demo on clearance at Walmart for $95 + tax $105.00 total. My son caught it as they were pricing it down and i told him go ahead and buy for me and he did. SCORE!!!! Paid him back immediately.
Thanks Todd for the tutorial. I ordered mine 2 days ago. I’ve been using my Kamado Joe to cook pizzas, but it takes a good hour to heat it up and get the stone hot. I like that you touched on that it’s not just a pizza oven. I want a couple of those cast iron dishes to make other dishes. I can’t wait till mine gets delivered. Any insight when those cast irons will be available?
clearly a store bought pizza and not a particularly good one. the OG has turned out many thousands of picture worthy pizzas over the last decade. no argument the price point is too high this time. i paid $300 for my v1 right when it launched.
That crust looks perfect! Just the right amount of crispness for my liking. This oven model looks to have some great features! Thanks for sharing, Todd👍😊
Been watching your channel, I enjoy it very much. I subscribed, I live in Pa. , would like to know your scheduled shows that I can attend. I have my 36 inch for 2 years now and I love it.
Hi, Greg. I sure do appreciate you watching!!!!!!!! We did big Pennsylvania tour weekends the past several years but I'm not sure about this year. The tour schedule should be released in the next month or so. I'll announce it when I am given the details. Thanks so much for watching & subscribing!!!
Hi Todd. I appreciate all you do and also appreciate the fact that pizza is not your expertise. Considering this oven is for the serious home pizza chef, and it get's to 900 degrees stone temp, I think the serious pizza people would like to see how this performs making a traditional Neapolitan pizza. Most people don't understand THAT is what started the pizza oven craze. We just can't make those types of pizzas in our home oven, so we need the high temps. For more traditional styles of pizza, there really is no need for this oven because you can bake the pizza you just made in a home oven. Will you get a real pizzaiolo to test out this oven for performance?
Well, you got me right, I'm not a Pizzaiolo? Whatever ON EARTH that is. However, yes, now that I'm getting used to it, you'll see me stretching more dough out in the future!!! Thanks for watching!!
Looks awesome Todd! Kinda bummed, just put my conversion together today😟, oh well I guess I’ll learn on this one and maybe down the road I’ll change it up. Thanks for sharing. Cheers to you and the family
Dont feel bad, real pizzerias dont have rotating ovens. Unless something blows me away, ill stick to the tabletop conversion that easily reaches 1k degrees.

Wow I have my black stone 1963 pro 28. It is great it was pricey but I get it on sale for $799. It has been amazing. Pizza oven at $799 to much should have been $499 max. I will make my pizzas in my oven, on my Blackstone flat top, or in my pitboss pro 850 smoker. To bad I am all about blackstone but not worth the price for me. It’s nice though.
Cool video Todd. While I already have a pizza oven, it’s cool to see Blackstone spreading their wings and getting into the market. Maybe we can get an elk loin pizza for the future?
Any chance of a Natural Gas conversion kit? Props to Blackstone for bringing this out at that time of the year when everybody does their annual 2 week health kick!
Can give us the measurements of the whole unit total height, width, and depth. Hopefully it fits in my outdoor cooking space along side my 36 inch griddle and smoker Thanks

Geez, Todd. I just got my 22 inch conversion pizza oven with a 22 inch griddle from the Walmart online only sale you talked about LAST MONTH for Christmas. I have not opened the 2 boxes so I will have to return these just on principal alone because you were pushing the "old' version without tellin us a new version was coming out. You say you hinted at this, but that's just not fair. I used to trust you for some reason -- but now I'm not so sure!!
I hope you’re joking. Go back and watch all of my life videos and videos of the 22 inch when it came out last year and I told everybody that that was nothing but an introduction to Blackstone’s new pizza Offerings. I make videos because this is my hobby and it turned into a career. Don’t blame anything on me. I don’t care if my viewers by the things that I use. Again, I hope that you’re joking. God bless you!
Thanks for the video. No offense to you, Todd, but I'd like to see the new Blackstone oven in the hands of an actual pizzaiolo or two (three, four, more?). At the target price, it's entered the range of some pretty serious and credible competition.
there are more pictures and videos of pizzas made in the V1 than you can watch in a lifetime. I've had the v1 for a decade and can tell looking this is pretty much the same other than aesthetics. results should be identical.
@@socomon69 agreed. Even if one thinks the OG oven was underpriced (I do). Maybe call it a $500 pizza oven, which may have been where it should have been priced. Hard to see where $500 of improvements are in the new design. A $20 switch? An additional wall around the top? Some sheet aluminum to cover the propane tank? Also, I use the side tables all the time, but now they're gone.
Do you realize how many pizzas I could have delivered to my house for 800 bucks? Now that I've bought a 22 inch griddle and the pizza oven attachment that was on sale...I understand why they were blowing them out. I feel lied too...
Hi, Wynn. Let's put it this way. I want a Polaris Side-by-Side but I'm not going out to their UA-cam channel and saying, "For $20,000, you can keep it." I do not care if you buy anything. I've been on UA-cam for 15 years and this channel showcases WHAT I DO. Don't take that the wrong way. LOL. To answer your question, you could but lots of pizzas for $800. Having said that, You could also go out to eat 10 or 20 times for the price of your kitchen oven, yet you HAVE ONE. Relax. I appreciate you watching and do not care whether or not you buy something that I'm using in my videos!
@@praisehisawesomename I'm not mad at you. I'm just a bit bummed. If I'd have known this was coming available I wouldn't have bought the 22 inch with the pizza attachment. Nice infomercial on the new Pizza Oven, Todd! Appreciate that very much. A couple of questions....is the lower stone removeable for cleaning and, is it easy to clean? Super cool to have the stone rotating in there.
Hi, Rob. Both stones are removeable. I just pulled mine out and cleaned it. I guess Blackstone has a new cleaning brush for sale designed specifically for the stone. I appreciate you watching.
Great review this is not a pizza oven for me could not tell but I like my pizza ovens to have the rolling flame on top of the pizza also the moving stone is nice put it takes the fun out of using the oven to me..that's juts me tho lol
Hey, Chad. Thanks for watching, buddy. I really appreciate it. It does have the rolling flame on top! I just had to turn it down a little bit. Anyway, God bless you!
No way! I love pizza, but no way 799$ is justified. Griddle, grill, or even a smoker would likely be used more justifying the prices of these things today!
Got one great took 3 pizzas to get it right 600 to 700 degrees and make sure u dont out to much cheese on it but works great takes around 90 seconds and done fresh pizza
Papa John's, Domino's, Pizza Hut, Mod Pizza, etc. all use gas so in that regard it's no different than most pizza places in the world but it's not wood. It's gas. I hope that helps. The pizzas are delicious!
My GE microwave from 2005 finally crapped out. At first ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxO_Bc204MGjxDl87cOKcdgaRhzSqGmv_g I was unsure because I was looking for something with the exact same features. Found it with this one. Interior space cavity was large, but the outside was smaller than my old one. I love the one-button push for 1-6 minutes, and the 30 second add or 30 second start. and MOST IMPORTANTLY, I love how you can adjust the power level during cooking. The reviews said it could not be done, but this marked all the other boxes. and happy to say, it does. I can hit 1 minute start, and change the power level from 10 to 5, 30 seconds in, without interruption. my favorite feature!
Hey Todd been a longtime follower of your videos. Just got pizza oven and we are loving it. Do you know if Blackstone has any intention of coming out with a pizza stone brush for sweeping/ cleaning stone between pizzas
Hi, Braden. They released it when they released the Pizza Oven. You can buy it on the Blackstone site. You can see my postings about it on my Facebook page. Make sure you're following me on FB and IG. Between the three (including UA-cam). I'll cover just about everything. The brush is a beast. It's huge BUT, you can't use it on a hot pizza stone. It's for using when the stone is cool. That's a bummer. You should try the heating technique. I'll do a video on it eventually. Take your stone off and clean it in your sink if necessary. Flip your stone over and put that beast on high heat while rotating. Once the temp gets up in the 700 - 900 range you'll see some magic happen as it will literally incinerate the stone completely white/clean! Give it a try. It works on both sides!!
I like this, but the $800 for me is a big NO NO. Lotta $$$$ to cook one pizza a month or even 1 a week. Thanks anyway. Now, if they go on sale for around $500? Maybe.
Hi there! Do not think I post videos because I want people to buy stuff. Everything's not for everybody! I would love a Polaris Side-by-Side but can't spare an extra $20,000-$25,000 dollars. LOL. I'm not going to leave a comment on the Polaris UA-cam channel. Please don't ever feel like I want or need you to buy anything. I appreciate you watching. That is it. God bless!

700 bucks?.... Honey, pick up a Digiorno's on your way home....😆
I wonder when Walmart will have it in stock?
Not any time soon. Exclusive to BlackstoneProducts.com at this time!
I would have bought this new pizza oven. Oh well. By the way...pretty soon you'll be needing a bigger deck to house all the blackstone gear they send you. Pretty cool perk.
@@praisehisawesomename funny thing about your comment on the expensive side by sides...I actually am in the market for one and I did just what you said. I commented on a side by side video about the cost and said for that asking price I could just get a jeep wrangler. Hahaha
@@wynnloftis365 I’ve been announcing that this is coming for the last nine months! And everyone of my previous pizza oven videos last spring and summer. God bless.
@@praisehisawesomename I must have missed those videos. Oh well...no biggie...I'll just enjoy the 22 inch for awhile. Do you know if blackstone makes a cover for the 22 pizza oven?
Nice infomercial on the new Pizza Oven, Todd! Appreciate that very much. A couple of questions....is the lower stone removeable for cleaning and, is it easy to clean? Super cool to have the stone rotating in there.
Hi, Rob. Both stones are removeable. I just pulled mine out and cleaned it. I guess Blackstone has a new cleaning brush for sale designed specifically for the stone. I appreciate you watching.
@@praisehisawesomename Thanks Todd!
How long does it take to bake a pizza?
approximately 90 seconds to cook a fresh dough pizza.
🤩 🔥🔥 🍕 Todd, using gas does the pizza have a slight different taste?
Papa John's, Domino's, Pizza Hut, Mod Pizza, etc. all use gas so in that regard it's no different than most pizza places in the world but it's not wood. It's gas. I hope that helps. The pizzas are delicious!
I was all in until you said $799. I'll wait to see if it falls to the 500 dollar range...
How can i add wood flavor?
You can’t, there’s other options on the market that can do wood for a better price.
I can hit 1 minute start, and change the power level from 10 to 5, 30 seconds in, without interruption. my favorite feature!
tooo much
I paid over 800 for a Weber grill. Giving the feature set, 800 for this pizza oven is not at all out of line.
Good for blackstone with going with quality than cheaper materials. seems like it will last Plus it’s a oven and can cook other things.
Wow
That's a hefty price tag for a burner and a turntable. Not nearly enough features to justify the price tag imo. Great video though.
The last model was like 300$ wasn't it? 🤔
Blackstone lost me right off the bad for $800.
Well I guess some people will buy it Love my pizza but not that much
U can make qusadilla with that thing
you just made the world's most expensive frozen pizza 😂
Looks pretty cool they could make it just a little better and put the flame regulator on the front though
The flame control is in the front. All tank regulators for any outdoor cooking appliance are on the tank house. It's spec.
I LOVE my Blackstone but, $800-$1000 buys a LOT of pizza !! Sorry
With the prices of pizza post covid $1,000 is not going to buy that much pizza! At $25+ for a pie you can do the math.
@@kataysmith9581 Where are you buying $25+ pizza from, just curious?
Can you get in natural gas?
Hi, Jeff. I just inquired since a few folks asked. This model is not able to be converted to natural gas.
Very cool. I already have a Gozney and it is awesome. This would be good cheaper option.
so many toys.. you need to build a bigger deck
Better snap it up before it is banned!
Nice, but too expensive.
That is it. God bless!
yeah hard pass for $800
I prefer pizzeria pronto..$250 to $300
800 for pizza? No thanks
Too pricey, but nice
Lol you gotta be kidding me
A lot of money
I like my ooni pizza oven way better ooni Kari 16 wood charcoal or gas
Just ordered mine. Sold my 2 oonis replacing with this unit
Bad move.
you know its sponsored and you know its a shill when the person is wearing the companies swag while doing the "review"
The limp crust says it all….
Let’s face it Todd we love you, but as a culinary guy, I’m going to have to pass on this one!
$800? At least Jesse James used a gun when he robbed ya
Lmao 😂
not liking the looks of it. It reminds me of a "garbage can" at a local park. not sure I want that in my back yard. sorry Blackstone... love your griddle however... it's the best!
Why apologize? Everything's not for everybody. God bless!
