How to find a replacement TV screen for your damaged or cracked TV screen... The right way!

- In this video I'm going to show you how to look for a replacement TV screen for your TV if your lcd panel (screen) gets damaged or cracked. Also in some cases the actual driver boards that are bonded to the TV screen can also fail causing you to need an entire screen replacement.
If your television screen is cracked you CANNOT repair or fix a crack in a TV screen. You will have to replace the whole screen. In most cases television screens are not available, but there is a way to be certain and check to see if it is, or isnt.
You cannot find a replacement screen by just using the model number of the TV. You will actually have to take the back cover off of the television and use the Panel number which is located on a sticker inside of the TV chasis.

Thanks! Good info. What would be great is if a LCD panel database of sorts existed that would show any particular panel part number and what brand of TV it will work in, with no modifications. Like you, I see many TV’s of the same size and manufacturer for sale on Facebook market place. For instance, one particular 65” someone is selling or giving away, has a broken screen, then another seller has the same or very similar TV but has bad electronics, unless they are the “exact” model number, you may not be able to get one working TV from two bad ones. I’m sure you’ve experienced this. Just a though!

Good video bruh. My wife dropped my favorite tv (a 55" LG 3D model) and cracked the screen and so I wanted to desperately replace the screen. I had looked around the web briefly before and didn't find anything and since I'm on vacay I had some time to revisit that search and came across your video ... very informative and helps me to not waste anymore time, also very entertaining. I haven't looked at your video which got the 100k views, but I'm glad you didn't take it down. Trolls will be trolls and so you must've done something right if ppl gave you that much of their time. If those type of people really want to have cheap and feasible screen panel replacement, they can take it up directly with the suppliers and manufacturers, only to discover a rude and very sobering awakening.

I am really surprised these damn manufacturers don't sell the screen panel. This LED/LCD panel is too fragile. I'm threw 2 of my new TV [less than 1.5 year] because my child always hit the screen especially when she was too excited watching the cartoon. Nowadays, you always have to buy a new one. Even if you go the repair shop, they don't like to repair. They always just change any damaged part with a new spare parts. If they repaired, it would cost you almost half of the price of a new one. You will end up with one best option - buy a new one.
I followed advice but now have a broken screen and a broken toe, should I try with the other foot? 😂

No TV Screens available that I know of. TV Manufactures just want you to buy a new TV when that happens. To much of a hassle selling and shipping just the screen.
Bigger they are, the wiser it is to dump it..
You don't need to make a video on "How to fix a crack-heads screen", because it looks fine to them.
It's so stupid to make a board match only one exact screen. It's wasteful nonsense. There should be programming for the specific screen due to unique characteristics. There should also be a universal fallback mode in case of a repair. Hopefully a method to add a profile file for such case. Just as you can install an ICC profile for your computer display, from media that came with it or the manufacturer's website, for better color accuracy.

On your next scrn repair demo use the usual double-sided tape epoxy heat gun technique then at the very end bring out the ole trusty 20 lb sledgehammer w/passion.
