Hichkas has always meanings and clear intentions behind his songs and projects...here he is more talking about the beauty and value of the life and death, like in today's society we worship dead ppl and not showing enough love to the ones that are still alive until they are gone. The last verse is a beauty by itself...and for the translation, it can never be the best until it is from the artist themselves unfortunately

Well u explained him perfectly, I really enjoy how you're open to new sounds and concepts even in other languages, that been said , I exactly remember fist time listening to this song , its not something that I remember for most songs, the chorus is very bold , why don't you die , it have me chills every time cuz it actually makes you think about death, and as a part of life it's something you should think of rather than run away from ( Starting at the sun ) , the concept is mostly about how people respond to someone ( an artist in this case ) death , rather than paying them the respect they deserve when they're alive , its rather a harsh song but as u said, makes you think

He is probably saying why iranians are more into appreciaiting of dead artists and generally have become people that are more into death rituals than life and living. Also complaining about how he had become an exiled artist. I said probably because i am not sure. As why this happened in iran this happened after islam and after so many tragedys in our history because before that iranians religion and world view was about life . And also it is a side effect of government and how media is controlled which is all about mourning and death and misery around the world.

The part he sings: farhad is digging a grave, the grave digger farhad is ironically meant: Farhad was a famous character of the most famous poet of Iran "ferdowsi" who lived 1200 years ago. In his fanous poetry book ferdowsi wrote about this character "farhad" who shared a mutual love with the king of the Persia towards a woman called "shirin". After he lost his beloved girl to the king, he as a miner and artist started graving shirin's face on a mountain. Now he (hichkas) says farhad is also digging Graves instead of the mountain

Unfortunately the translations were fairly poor. Missed a lot of the meaning.
Btw, this subtitle has so many misinformation and wrong sentences, for example , on the outro of the song : it says dig your grave not build your grave .
