uasuka I do both. Im a Bass trombone player and a snare drummer. I get the best of both worlds. Its all the same man. We chop out the same. We strive for greatness the same.
+Vickie Jaughn Coming from a snare player, first of all, thank you for recognizing that it is not easy to be in percussion sometimes, and second, the amount of percussion shaming in my band is overwhelming, so that is why this comment is refreshing. It doesn't sound like there were many people in the lot that night. Considering most people who wanted to see the Corps were probably sitting in the seats of Lucas Oil since it was Finals night. And they did not need a reaction during the warm up, they received plenty of cheer and applause during the performance. I was there cheering them on as well. #veryfelliniesque
most top 3 lots are empty because ppl want to see the other corps on the field. and you can’t forget tilt was right before them, no way people were gonna miss that
Sometimes I forget that this is all memorized...
Lmao
DCI is an Olympic level activity in muscle memory!
To me this was the Blue devils best year
And to everyone else, as it is the highest scoring Dci show ever
Coming from a tuba player****
I dont see how big drumlines like this can have every hit on the stick hit at the same time. its pretty crazy.
Countless hours of practice. Playing right on the beat, etc.

uasuka I know, they just say that we hit stuff, but the thing is, without us, they might not even be able to stay in step

this is probably their cleanest lot
They don’t make drumlines like this anymore
One of the greatest DCI shows of all time
so true
Top 4 -5 drumlines last 5 6 years have been so close it's mind boggling.
Those slow doubles at 10:33 make me feel some type of way. Mm.
those double stops are so clean

Would have been my age out year if I didn't have serious medical problems for about 4 years after high school. And if I passed auditions.
Talk about a drum circle...
Didnt they have a black guy on snares?
Aged out
+Casey Moore I hate that rule. I think that you should be able to be in a drum and bugle corp for much longer.
What sticks do they use?
I think scott johnson signature system blue sticks.
they be promark
they're the only ones that use promark
EpicMem they aren’t the only ones that use promark
Also yeah Scott Johnson’s and tenors use Sean Vega
What heads do they use ?
hard top kevilar
Damyan Molina I think they might be Evans Hybrid Grey... but don't quote me... I use it on my Mapex and I don't have any complaints.
Damyan Molina
Evans Hybrid grey snares
Evans System Blue tenor
Evans MX1 Basses
BD released a System Blue Head for snares this year as well
System blue now.

I know I'm NOWHERE near as good as him, but does Brandon's right hand look off (just a bit)?
