this is one of the best videos I've ever seen,

I'm making cookies on the stove right now - using premade dough, I buttered the pan and set it to a little above low heat at first (NOT medium that's too high). Now it's just straight at low, and I've got them covered, and they're rising but not burnt yet... Failed last night at making them, but they tasted good regardless. :P
Raw cookie dough is only dangerous because of eggs. If your cookie dough doesn't have eggs or you get your eggs in America, you are fine. Seriously.

I use clarified butter (ghee) for pan cooking (just tried cookies). Ghee won't burn - has high smoke point.

@@LEARNINGCHORDS lol that's a good point, It would prob help with the smoke but that means nothing if there was an actual fire.
Just use a bit of olive oil with the butter. Medium is too high.
Never use butter to bake cookies or even drive top just Cook as a skillet cookie and the same results in a frying pan .

For goodness sake use vegetable oil! Do not use butter because it burns like you said! Mr. Spielberg would advise you to show the end of the show whether the cookies we're a burnt bunch of carbon or a delightful nectar from the heavens. Either way, he wouldn't have cut us off from the ending of the show!

So put your pan on lower and don’t put the butter in the pan until it’s time to put the cookies in. 🤦🏻♀️
