Can we have a Jay vs. Brandon Impression-Off?! I've noticed each of them drop a few impressions here and there in other videos, but a full on competition (using random cards and phrases like the Marvel Trivia cards) would be HILARIOUS!!!
That show was brilliant. I really hope and pray, still do, that, that show will come back or marvel will pick it up again. Or make it canon to the timeline.
EXACTLY!! I was so sad when they cancelled the show 😭😭 but that was around the time Marvel was ending the Netflix shows too as they were preparing to develop shows for Disney +
I think we'll get 4 episodes of the team separated, 2 in the past, 2 in the future and the last few minutes of each episode will feature Forge and Bishop in the present
I think Coy was spot on in his analysis of the show and why it was the way it was. I have never read the comics and I know what I know because of watching this channel. The show was still great for me. I’m glad I have this show to craft theories.
What a panel, Brandon sneaks under the radar for how knowledgeable and intelligent he really is in these type of shows. Just wish Coy wouldn’t jump onto everyone’s point and let people finish what they want to say. But I still love when Coy joins!
Season 2 will basically have a narrative structure that gives us an "Apocalypse-over-three-time-periods" exploration [at least for the first half, and then *very likely* the addition of a second major villain in the second half. Most likely, shades of effects from Xavier touching Magneto's darkness will start to appear, and then Onslaught would emerge as that second half villain]. Here's how the timelines will likely be explored, and what they're based on: 1. Despite seeming like the team was randomly shot to various points in time, the intent was for the energy of the explosion to be used to pull them into 3000BC where they will help Apocalypse fight off Rama Tut (a version of Kang). 2. All of the team were meant to be in 3000BC, and the likely reasons we haven't seen Storm, Wolverine and Morph are a) Storm and Morph made their way to Wolverine first, he's still in bad shape, and they similarly needed to defend from Rama Tut's goons 200 or so meters away from the rest of the team, and b) it saved the animators time and effort to not have to show that this season, condidering this was a season ending cliffhanger. 3. The only reason Cyclops and Phoenix are in 3960AD is for the same reason baby Nate got separated from Bishop. While traversing time, Rachel Summers/Mother Askanii can lock onto family members and pull them to her. She had been raising Nate, and now she brought his parents to help too. This mirrors the comics story when she brought Scott and Jean's psyches into the future to help raise him as Slim and Redd. 4. We will likely get Bishop and Forge (and maybe a couple others) traveling to the past to help and rescue the team... eventually. Along the way they may play with a glimpse of ending up in other timelines, and maybe thematically they will see the potential creation of an Age of Apocalypse similar to the comics. This will not be a full blown AoA event like the comics, as the purpose will be to show us the danger of Apocalypse. 5. The stories will not be episodically fixed in one time period. There will be some jumping between each, although there may be at least 1 episode that spends the majority of its time following the past story line and another on the future story line. 6. This is genuine Nate that Scott and Jean are looking at, but the antagonist of the future will either be Cable's clone Stryfe under Apocalypse's control, or Stryfe having inherited Apocalypse's empire. I expect a final confrontation with grown Cable finding Scott, Jean and young Nate and facing off against Stryfe (and/or Apocalypse). 6. There will be additional side villains, but what they MAY mirror is 4 Horsemen in the future: Stryfe and 3 others; 4 Horsemen in the present: Gambit as Death and 3 others (maybe Madelyne also gets a reprieve that way); and a slim chance for the sowing of the seed of the Horsemen process in the past, as Apocalypse uses Celestial tech, Rama Tut tech, or something else, to help Wolverine. Magneto cannot just reinsert the adamantium, but if it survived the trip to Ancient Egypt, or if they use a substitute, he would be instrumental in restoring Wolverine... albeit with the temporary function as an outright or pseudo Horseman. 7. The experiences in Ancient Egypt are what will forge En Sabah Nur into present day Apocalypse. His present day mission will be at odds with the world leaders, and his 4 Horsemen will be his instruments of justice for Genosha, led by Gambit as Death. A present day team, including some of the "new" faces will be trying to deal with the Horsemen, but they will not ultimately deal with Apocalypse before the return of the others from the past. 8. The present day team may include Jubilee and Sunspot, joined by Shadowcat and possibly Archangel, Colossus and Polaris. Archangel would serve as a person trying to get through to Gambit as a former Horseman of Death, until Rogue gets back to cement his recovery. 9. Not all of the faces on Forge's board will be on the side of good, however, so in addition to other secondary antagonists, we will see Exodus leading a militant group devoted to Magneto's memory. 10. Around the halfway mark when the Ancient Egypt team returns to the present, we may think it is meant to be everyone vs Apocalypse and the remaining Horsemen and minor lackeys, but by then Onslaught will have started to emerge. There may be uneasy alliances forged to deal with Onslaught going into the season 2 finale. 11. Other minor setups or integration of their antagonistic stances will include Silver Samurai and Omega Red; Graydon Creed's rise to presidency (possibly with Mystique factoring in to stop that outcome); ongoing fallout of some policies against mutants and others in support in good and bad ways; more cameos, maybe a reappearance of Deathbird (maybe Vulcan too), but these won't be major focus points unless we do get a delay on Onslaught until Season 3 OR Onslaught is influencing some of their antagositic actions. After all, the blending of stories to cover multiple decades of arcs is where this show makes its bread and butter. Ultimately, even if most of the above plays out differently or exactly like this, I hope Season 2 is longer than 10 episodes. If it is, expect past and future Apocalpse centric stories to play out over at least 5 episodes.
I think season 2 will be called Ages of Apocalypse. Also, Cable had his time travel device in his metal arm so Bastion must have taken it when he absorbed the arm. So maybe they got scattered across time by Cable's time travel device.
Technically, Apocalypse stole the Greymalkin interface. It was no longer in Cable's arm. But he is traveling through time with the cube, so... it would imply this Cable is a prior version? Maybe he's before his "last" fight against Apocalypse? Loll time travel is messy loll
Storm, Wolverine and Morph being in the future could be a way to do some Age of Apocalypse stuff just in the future instead of alternate present. As for other Horsemen, what if Apocalypse picks other people from the Genoshan massacre. Leech would be a nasty plague and be super heartbreaking. Madelyn would be another gut punch.
I love the fact that Coy found a way to bring the Kdot vs Drake beef into this! He did the same thing on New Rockstars , lol. He is truly, for the culture! 😁😁
@@askani21 maybe im bias cuz cloak and dagger are my underrated fav characters. but I did like the series and just wish free form wasnt the ones involved so it had a longer future
31:00 Grayton Creed is in the lead for the presidency. His parents are Sabertooth and Mystique. So we’re definitely seeing them next season, right? I mean, based on how this series loves to delve into family ties (Nightcrawler & Rogue. Bastion & Mother. Scott, Jean, Madeleine, & Nathan, etc.) it seems like a no-brainer 🤷🏾♂️
I hope we get to see Charles' dark side grow slowly during the first half of the season. Then, the second half could be the Onslaught saga. It could maybe even start very slowly and season 3 would be entirely for Onslaught, with the Fantastic Four, the Avengers and all. Let's hope lol
If Voss was in this lineup, they'd be the greatest force of Nerd-dom ever seen by mortal eyes. The Nerdspandles, The Nerd-stice League of America, Voss-Man and the Masters of the Nerdiverse. I'm sorry I'm kinda stoned.
I think theres gonna be 3 versions of the X-Men team,.. as you could see Forge was looking at the roster in present day, who's missing/AWOL etc. But each moment in time, the teams will be fighting against Apocalypse... Past /Present/ Future
Wolverine doesn't go feral from losing his adamantium in the comics. That actually happened later when another mutant called Exodus tried to force adamantium back onto his skeleton and it backfired resulting in feral, no nose Wolverine. He actually gets his metal back when he becomes Apocalypses horsemen
I think storm talking about bastion being in the X-men is interesting….i think we are going to see “another world” and it just dawned on me that they had to make sure Magneto wasn’t going up against Bastion or the sentinels cause they wouldn’t stand a chance against him.
The Nathan in the future is Cable. Stryfe doesn't have a mechanical arm, but the young Nathan they showed does. Unless they decided to change things to throw people off, that's Cable
I really dont want this to happen. The Horsemen should have only one X-Man. The rest supporting characters and Genosha has a lot of dead mutants rn (Necrosha!)
I loved the issue where Apocalypse just "took" Hulk. He literally just grabbed him and left lol. Hulk couldn't fight back, he couldn't even struggle. He was powerless against Apocalypse. But the most interesting part to me was the way Apocalypse then took over mentally, just by convincing him, manipulating him into submission. Gods, I love Apocalypse 😅
With all these twists and turns in adding so many different variations of comic issues, and adding in a story arc involving time travel and different time periods, I gotta wonder if we may also get Old Man Logan in season 2??? Wolverine becoming an horseman is highly likely, but if we see Old Man Logan as well would just be bittersweet, but awesome at the same time!!!
Everyone was making fun of the commenter who asked what if Wolverine's skeleton & bone claws were as hard as adamantium, but that's not as far fetched as it sounds! While this didn't happen in the comics, before Claremont left, he'd planned to have Wolverine die, be ressurrected by the Hand, fight the X-Men, and eventually be overcome, losing his adamantium in the process. Then it would be discovered that he had bone claws, and that they & his skeleton were nearly indestructible. So while it may not be canon, being the brain child of Claremont means I can't write off the commentors idea entirely.
My pick for the four horseman: Gambit - Death Wolverine - War Mystique - Famine Emma - Conquest There are so many choices. And with this show, it could be anyone. I do hope that its not just 3 randoms again. I like Banshee, Cable, or Shaw too. Magneto or Xavier would be awesome.
Future Nathan is NOT Stryfe. #1 He has the cybernetic arm. Stryfe was a genetic clone, thus never infected with the T.O. Iris, and… #2 In the comics, Stryfe was raised solely by Apocalypse, unaware he was even a clone until he squared off with Nathan as an adult.
@@EM-tx3ly and this is why you're wrong; Morph can already duplicate the physical abilities of any character. Imagine what kind of power he'd have with Apocalypse enhancements. He may be more powerful than some of the originals. That's a perfect Horsemen.
To this extent, I totally agree. But I do think that Avatar grew up over it's three season run. It matured in story telling and action at the characters grew older and matured. I also think the last season of Bad Batch grew in maturity as Omega matured.
Storm fits famine as crops depend on the weather. Wolverine could be Pestilence as that is the reverse of his healing factor, Gambit death obviously and Morph war as he can be everyone fits war.
Morph = War ??? Wolverine is the better candidate for being a warrior/soldier the longest than any X Men Can’t see Morph as a member otherwise where would he be ?
I agree that the best Mystique was Rebecca. The makeup and effects also made the character so much more believable and she is a mercenary out for her own interests. Jennifer Lawrence is a great actress but the changes pandered to HER. I remember seeing her in the blue and thinking how awful it looked and Jennifer’s acting had to work overtime to sell it. I would looooove to experience X-Men 97 as a feature film in a theater. Maybe an origin story for a character. I hope that it’s possible to release one in between seasons.
Nobody asked for this. Nobody else is claiming this. It’s fine if this if refuted, I am but a singular human with an opinion: 56:56 Zach can come to the cookout.
I was not prepared for Zach actually knowing that speech. I was listening while at work and had to actually rewind and watch cause I couldn’t believe it.
That's not possible. That happened in season 2, and we know Madelyne was not the Phoenix. (Sinister confirms in episode 10 that Cable's mother was "never the Phoenix") I remember Jean had her hair loose in the last episode of season 5, when prof X went with the Shiar. My guess is that she was Madelyne at that time. The clue has always been the poney tail!
Im surprised nobody has mentioned this yet, but actually in X2 Stryker says "You were an animal then. You're an animal now. I just gave you claws" aka the exact opposite of what Brandon was saying haha
Wow, watched all the way through (amazing episode btw!) That said, I can’t believe y’all didn’t mention that Wanda & Pietro are both listed as “off world”. Knowing the comics, this HAS to be an Inhumans tease, right?! Quicksilver was married to Crystal of the royal family. And we did just visit the “blue side of the moon” in the finale during Rogue & Bastion’s battle. There we monuments and sculptures. Inhumans could be hiding out. That would be a very interesting story arc. Comparing the Inhuman oligarchy to the mutant population. So much richness to be mined!💯
re who do you want to see - considering that we got to see Rogue doing her capcom kick in episode 7, I wanna see Colossus, but he's GOTTA do the yell. He HAS to.
Sorry everyone I was extra excitable and extra in a rush. Didn’t mean to cut folks off. Apologies (and I’ll tell them too)

Demayo confirmed this is after Pete found MJ
What would happen if Morph morphed into Multiple Man?
I agree that the best Mystique was Rebecca. The makeup and effects also made the character so much more believable and she is a mercenary out for her own interests. Jennifer Lawrence is a great actress but the changes pandered to HER. I remember seeing her in the blue and thinking how awful it looked and Jennifer’s acting had to work overtime to sell it.
I would looooove to experience X-Men 97 as a feature film in a theater. Maybe an origin story for a character. I hope that it’s possible to release one in between seasons.
Gambit - Death
Wolverine - War
Storm - Famine
Morph - Pestilience
Anyone else agree?
I can’t see Morph as a member
Otherwise I agree
@@EM-tx3ly yeah but he was missing in the ending scenes like Logan and Oro
All the all stars in this video.
Nobody asked for this.
Nobody else is claiming this.
It’s fine if this if refuted, I am but a singular human with an opinion:
56:56 Zach can come to the cookout.
I was not prepared for Zach actually knowing that speech. I was listening while at work and had to actually rewind and watch cause I couldn’t believe it.
Woah actually a Four Horsemen Morph? Now that’s pretty cool.
Reunion two part is when Jean is switched
That's not possible. That happened in season 2, and we know Madelyne was not the Phoenix. (Sinister confirms in episode 10 that Cable's mother was "never the Phoenix")
I remember Jean had her hair loose in the last episode of season 5, when prof X went with the Shiar. My guess is that she was Madelyne at that time. The clue has always been the poney tail!
@@askani21 dude, it's so possible that you actually see both Jeans in the episode
@@askani21 but do the homework there are 2 different Jeans in one episode of XTAS
Even Cable already knowing about Scot & Jean in Season 1 & Jean not Madelyn knowing that he was important to their future
Season 2 prediction
Episodes 1&2- Present Day
Episodes 3&4- Egypt
Episodes 5&6- Future
Episodes 7-10 Finale Arc
Season 3 Prediction
Apocalypse with his Horsemen and Onslaught
Im surprised nobody has mentioned this yet, but actually in X2 Stryker says "You were an animal then. You're an animal now. I just gave you claws" aka the exact opposite of what Brandon was saying haha
46:11 NEEEERRRRDDD!!! 🤓🤓🤓
Plot twist: Season 2 will be titled X-MEN 98, and will air in 2051!
I miss seeing Jay and Coy on HyperNerds , f**king Legendary
48:20 FUCKIN’ JESS!! 🤣🤣🤣
re who do you want to see - considering that we got to see Rogue doing her capcom kick in episode 7, I wanna see Colossus, but he's GOTTA do the yell. He HAS to.
That I am merry poppins yaul made me laugh
I’m Mary Poppins yall 🤣😭 I was like wtf is he talking about then instantly clicked on 😂
I want Forge and Bishop to gather those mutants from his board and create a new X-Factor team to save the X-Men
Avengers: Lawful good
XMen: Chaotic good.
Jay Washington is absolutely correct on his Mistique argument! And I love that he said “the Aaliyah dress”
I love this show and I'm glad it's getting love. What does "E Day" stand for?
That pen!!!
