Not surprised anymore by whatever the Dodgers do. If this was ten years ago and they were doing this I would have been shocked. As for the Giants, I have lowered my expectations already only last year when they signed Snell, Soler, and Chapman, and traded for Robbie Ray and the emergence of Heilot Ramos did I think that we had a shot at the wildcard but other than that I have had low expectations since 2017. Had that fluke in 2021 and that’s it. So again not surprised.
Hopefully no one shows up to watch this terrible product on the field, the management should lose their ass and maybe they will sell the team to someone that wants to spend what it takes to compete with the Dodgers, please get the hell out.
1 out of 6 postseason berths. This deal is more or less Farhan's legacy. Go into the real world and achieve below expectations for multiple years at your job. You'd be performance managed and fired after 2 at most.
He failed, but part of the reason he failed was due to the ownership not allowing him to tank. Orioles were in a similar position in 2018, and look at how both organizations ended up. Any GM is smart enough to know that tanking is the fastest way to rebuild. Yet he didn't do it and said so in his press conference. It's a clear ownership fail.
I'm so tired of the dodgers signing everyone and there mama. There needs to be a cap. No 1 team should be able to spend unlimited amounts of money year after year.
Mets spent more than any team. Didn't help. You need a good team. Everyone laughed at Dodgers last year when they spent a billion saying they will choke. Now they are crying. Can't have it both ways m
LA does not sign everyone. There does not need to be a cap, what is needed is a bottom. Why shouldn't a team be able to spend it's money in their best interest? In the Dodgers place it's buying players. In the Giants, A's, Marlins, ect., it's putting money in the owners pockets.
The Giants are becoming the A's.

Ohtani is a cap hit of 46 million a year.
Why arent the Giants spending?
One dimensional Sotomania…meanwhile the Dodgers make the under the radar big move
Other teams choose not to spend. Dodgers put money back through the free agent, farm and stadium.
Exactly.

Have a meeting with your cheap owner and knock some sense into them

Needs to be a salary floor.
Those cheap teams getting free $ from luxury tax, tickets and merchandise sales, and TV/products contracts

Farhan has ruined this team. Could have traded Snell for a ton of prospects now nothing. SF Giants have become the Pirates of the West Coast.
The Giants are cheap!
Stop trying to trade Logan Webb. It’s dumb. Even a rebuild he would only be in his prime. No one thinks this is a good idea.
