Great to see how the proper moden way of features can be now done. Looking at some old files I never remembered how I did half the time! Great tips.

That is great work, how does one get the go-around in getting the laser warning image as an example to project the image and make dxf file in a drawing sheet

I would love to make a grove that goes around a cylindrical surface and also it has to not fail, when i change the text, once it is done.

Go for it! I recommend taking Design Intent into account. Think about what changes are likely, and then build additional intelligence into the Cosmetic Groove, maybe with parameters, relations, or even BMX, so that your model is flexible and robust enough and it doesn’t fail.

@CADPLMGuy Yes, but I had to bend a text extrude arround a curve and then substract the text extrude body from the cylindrical body. BTW, I can not put it in words how much I appreciate your videos have had many situations in the past, when even my cad service provider could not help on a cad problem, you are just a Legend! Greetings from Switzerland

Have you looked into the Divide Surface command for this kind of application? PTC’s Creo channel has quite a few videos on how the functionality was developed for these kinds of problems.
